@BrainyBabe24 He's switched the order of the lyrics. In the original version he sings "Taken a violent dislike to me. I'd be foolish to ignore the possibility that if we'd ever actually met you might have hated me". In this version he sings "Hated me. I'd be foolish to ignore the possibility that if we'd ever actually you might have taken a really violent dislike to me".

That's what I meant by he'd forgotten the original lyrics, I figured you would have understood I meant that he swapped them.

Yeah, I also prefer the one from Fry and Laurie 20 years ago, like when he made that joke about the Thames water authority, and that weird voice he put on. But I guess some changes had to be made, and he's getting on a bit, not as energetic as he was when he was younger. Blackadder is a perfect example of that, but he's still funny as hell.

Of course, if he HAD done it in front of all the hardcore House MD fans who don't know him for his old Fry and Laurie-stuff, it would quite possibly have made their heads explode. xD

I kind of like this version though. It makes it seem like a serious love song, which just makes the lyrics funnier.
