No there is not an accurate monitor we have found anywhere that does not have a chest strap. Given that most of the straps are all flexible fabric nowadays there is not reason to not wear one. Plus, electrical impulses are much stonger and therefore more accurate from the chest.

I've looked on the net but to be honest I think this is the sort think you can only get an answer for if you ask someone.
