  • @vetoshnikoff yes.

  • @lmsjr Good job! :P Just like it really :P Are there somewhere tabs on the Internet? Not like I wanted to steal it.. :P Just for myself hah :P Thanks..

  • Is equalizer or compressor really needed if you're just getting into stompboxes? like for noobs

  • @trashthethrasher Oh and octave pedal too

  • i believe you G-string was quite out of tune for this one... but other than that i'm digging these videos, i'm sorta late on them but yea i'm enjoying them

  • so is it best to put all your modulation FX though the FX loop?

  • I got a Randall combo w/ FX loop my pedals are an MXR 10 band EQ, BBE Sonic stomp, Dighitech whammy, delay, and an ISP decimator

(im asssuming all fo into fx loop but what order?

(the whammy still detunes like a chorus but it also does ovtaves) "fx loop or on front of amp? "HELP!?

  • Hey, tone king nice demo's......very detailed, tonewise. can you demo a behringer versus their boss equivalents

Reverbs,distortions,overdrives,delay......just to let us rockers know why we shell out big bucks for Boss when there's an affordable behringer that has almost the same sound as boss.I have seen your Metalzone vs. ultrametal demo they sound almost the same.....the only difference is the metal case and carbon film resistors of the MT2. THANKS.....

  • No, I was told that they changed the tone too much, so I never tried one, do you have any experience with them? would i be able to play at extremely low volume without totally changing the tone of my boogie? i was thinking about buying a cheep mixing board and running it threw the board and low volume, but I have absolutely no idea if that would work the way I would want it to?

  • You need to work on your grammar first!

  • What do you mean?

  • Where did your mixer go when you threw it through your window of bad grammar? Or did the bird go CHEEP cos your were too cheap?

  • I think your grammar is probably better than your guitar playing, so here is some bad grammar for you...Go fuck yourself!

  • Oh dear. There is NO excuse, really, for writing threw (past tense of throw) when you meant through. At least write thru, every1 knows that is a contraction.

Ok i was being a tad sarcastic, but still, the 2 words are totally different.

As to my guitar playing, i get the job done, its not about competition, anyway who is better than whom is usually totally subjective anyway!

As to fucking my self, IF I could, I would (as any1 would DO so) and I'd be in porn, making heaps of $!

    Cheers!

  • Well why didn't you just say that?

I didn't catch it, but i'm sure that they all knew what I ment.

I had know freakin' idea what you were even talking about.

  • O and it's myself!

    Not my self!

    HA HA HA

  • You're talking shit about grammar and then use the non-existent word "cos"? I always love to see someone try and bust someone else out on using "proper" grammar and can't spell worth a shit themselves.

  • This is NOT your conversation.

  • Your guitar was a little out of tune lol :-) I hate when you tune a guitar and then think it's in tune, then you start playing and in a few moments it's back out =D Happy Thanksgiving!

  • Hey Tone King, i just moved in to an apartment, and my mk iv is just too loud! is their any low watt amp with great high gain tone that you wolud suggest? tube or SS, as long as it wont wake the people next door, and has great high gain tone at low volume im all ears thank you!?

  • For some reason pedals sound Really bad through my FX loop... :/ but i will have to try again. if TTK said it sounds good, then i better do it :)

  • Hi entertheredfox - you only want to put pedals like reverb, chorus and delay in the loop. Save the boosters and overdrive pedals for the front of the amp. Thanks & rock on!

  • Another GOOD helpful 1 there TK! Rock on!

  • Happy Thanksgiving, TTK. This was helpful. :)

  • You also have a great thanksgiving tak! Always a pleasure! Peace!

  • BRILLIANT!!

  • Excellent

  • Hey love the way you been doing the videos bysound by ear and not seeing the pedal for comparison. I would like to see that again with the high gain amps, Mesa, Peavey, Bugera 333xl, Soldano, and any other you can think of. Great to see them back to back. Just a thought and keep them coming.

  • Hey Paul - yes, that is a great idea. After the holidays, I was thinking of doing just that - another '10 amps in 10 minutes' or something along those lines. After this '30 Pedals in 30 Days' - I am going to take a little break :-) ... I'm pretty exhaused from shooting videos every day :-) ... Hey, have a great Thanksgiving! Peace.

  • You can do, 10 tones in 10 days and show how to get the tone of 10 different guitarists.

    Cheers.-

  • @AndiOVai Yea, 10 tones in 10 days would be cool, how bout it TTK?

  • Yeah!

TTK you can pick al sort of player, from Page, to Hammett, Hendrix, Vai, Clapton, or whatever.

You can ask to the viewers and take the 10 most wanted guitar tones =P

    Make it happen \m/

  • I got super lucky and bought a digitech digidelay and a digiverb for a grand total of $40. Found them at a flea market still in the original shrink wrap. I always check out pawn shops and flea markets for cheap gear.

  • Bugera + Danelectro = good stuff.

  • New Metallica dvd!!! 2009 (on my channel.)

  • very helpful and informative keep doing what you do man

  • Tone King, what would you recommend to do for an amp without a effects loop? My jcm800 doesn't have one but i'm wanting reverb and delay in my chain, can I still run them through the front of my amp?

  • yes, you can run them in the front, it wont hurt the amp.

  • i'm not worried about hurting my amp at all, just I know delays, reverbs and modulations are normally best in the effects loop. Thanks joser! I'll be using a Maxon OD808/Rothwell Hellbender as a OD pedal to boost and tighten my amps distortion mainly, but thanks for the heads up!

  • I,m not the tone king but i,m an experienced guitarist. First if you are using your amp distortion , if you put the reverb and delay in front of the amp it will damage your tone. But if your distortion comes from a pedal put them between the amp and the distortion pedal so in that way you can put those effects in front of your amp.

  • totally agreed!

  • good info TTK-that boss reverb pedal sounded horrid.

  • whats ur opinions on buying a G-Major at a high price and using it forever rather than buying cheap, and buying repeatedly to cimb the quality ladder?

  • can you do a video on pedals Behringer makes that modeled after discontinued pedals like

    CD400 Chorus Space-D

    SM200 Slow Motion

    SE200 Spectrum Enhancer

  • i have a multi effects pedal, i have the digitech rp250 which aint to bad cos it has a ac 30 simulator on it, so i guess i like them for the reason you mentioned that you get a few tones all at once , in a affordable price

  • Like you said, you have covered more than 30 pedals, ive watched everyone, maybe you should have called it the 30 day pedal tour

    lol

  • CORRECTION: you CAN by-pass amp modeling on most recent major effects units; POD X3, etc., for using as just an effects board, NOT only the Digitech RP series(which I DO like)

  • Hey Tony - good to know. Unfortunately, I am not that familiar w/ those units. I love my Boss ME 50, and this doesn't allow you to bypass, nor does the newer ME70, which is a bummer. At least players have options, like the X3 as you noted and the RP as I noted. BTW - Have a great Thanksgiving!

  • Hey TTK check out the Vamp-2 It dose a great job of amp modeling and cool efects. Its a cheaper Version of a pod from line 6. I love my vamp-2 its tough too.

  • hey Dork2190 - I agree, I used the V-Amp2 for 2 years before I got my POD X3 - it's an excellent piece of gear, even though it's made of plastic. GREAT tones for the money. The rack-mount V-Amp Pro has all metal construction. By the way, they just released the V-Amp3...

  • Yahh I saw it on the website looks like a more like a pod with the red color. I liked it blue. But it still looks like a Vamp-2. What I don't know whats different about the new one.

  • well, I've not used it, but according to the literature, all updated amp models, plus a few new ones, like the 5150, Orange, and their own Bugera 333... and you get a USB adapter thing with it so you can hook it up to your computer without using MIDI(it does still do MIDI though). Not a HUGE update, especially by today's standards. I think they were mainly concentrating on pedals and Bugera this year.

  • O yahh that's cool I like orange. Hey whats your favorite amp modeled on the vamp-2

  • great vid and advice as usual, i was wonderiing if in your collectoin of pedals, do you have a morley telray fuzz power wah? id really like to hear you play one of those. rock on

  • 1 new vid each day is too mutch.

  • Tone king.. I may be getting my hands on a Bugera 333XL this christmas... Think I should? My dad has read the reviews and is very hesitant(Right spelling?)

  • watch dingle1's vids man-that'll help you decide

  • I like that chorus pedal.

  • Thanks TTK. If i ever decide to buy a load of pedals ill be sure to reference this vid for advice :)

  • good but bad thing is that those pedals don`t have true bypass

  • Go to Google. Search or "the case against true bypass" Read the article by Cornish. Its an eye opener.

  • Wow I read that... scary lol

  • Nice article suggest TK!. Man, sometimes we assume things as obvious, but they aren`t. Nice Video too, keep rocking!

  • true bypass is no bueno with a lot of pedals

  • Great video, :D
