Im not doing it for the medals, or glory but because Canada is home to me, the 11 year old who made this, and 35 000 000 other people. • 911insidejob81 - Much better men and women than me have given their lives for your right to hold such opinions. All I have to say is, YOU'RE WELCOME.

I'm still really proud of my little girl for making this video (although she's not so little anymore)! I showed it to a lot of my guys when I was in the sandbox, and it lifted a lot of spirits.

  • @cfmedic

Mike from the US just wanted to let you know I'm proud of her to :) May God bless American and Canadian fighting forces.

  • k, for any of u fucktards out there who hate this video, go to hell! so there may have been what, 1 disrespectfull pictureÉ build a bridge, and get over it. i am in the Royal Canadian Air Cadets, and i salute to this video. and ma'am, (Video creator) ill send you a picture to put in ur next video, and ill tell u some stuff that you can do to make even better vids.

  • 911insidejob81. Those are my brothers and sisters fighting over there. And I will not have them put down by a conspiracy theorist. Nothing pisses me off more then people like you. If you do not support our military then get the hell out.

  • stop Iraq and Afghanistan occupations

    please search this in google

"One in 40 Iraqis 'killed since invasion"

    "'655,000 Iraqis killed since invasion'"

END illegal Iraq and Afghanistan occupation

government allowed 9/11 to happen on purpose

to convince public and troops to invade Iraq and Afghanistan

WAR for oil, based on lies!!

  • @911insidejob81 u are garbadge......get out of this video, who are you to post on an 11 year olds video about the negatives of why we might be there.........u dont desverve to have an opinion

  • God Bless America and God Bless Canada

  • it was realy cool what she did canadian soldier from afganistain and the rest of my troops salute you!

  • @ vfreebug2 I'm so sorry about your son... just reading what you said, just blows my mind in ways i can't explain, very tearfull...and very painfull.

  • My dad... Carter Schrage, He's been to North Korea a few years back, he just recently got back from iraq, He told me storys about how close the bombs were. He's been in the service for 16 years. I'm only 16 years of age at the moment... so very young and my dad's been gone for long periods of times in very dangerous zones. I'm not sure if i belive in god... but if he's out there... i thank him and the guy right beside my dad geting his back, that my dad is still here with me today.

  • @ vfreebug2

    im sorry bout ur lose.

my brother and uncle were also killed, but they were both killed by AN I.E.D the very same day

  • Sometimes the things we dont want to do are most needed, You can ask any soldier, hell tell you to things, 1 he doesnt care about being a hero and he knows he wont get rich, but its not what he signed up for, 2 is some things cant be bought or traded for they have to be fought for, and defended

  • god job lads, good job. i owe you everything, i deserve nothing

  • nothing in this world is free. i gave my son a kiss and hug after basic and the next time i saw him he was being put back together because a mortar tore his guts out. but we love our country and will still defend her.

  • vfreebug2 im very sorry. he died in honor

  • @vfreebug2 ma'am/sir, i read your comment, and i wanted to throw up because of what had happend to your son. i am extreamly sorry for your loss, and i promiss you i will fight and defend for yours and my country, unless you are from russia. but as lon as you are part of the three alied forces ( U.S/Canada?Brittan) as long as you are from one of those country's, my heart goes out to you.

  • @u452u whats wrong with Russia? Good video! Lets bring war to an end so no more young people are needlessly lost!

    Great video miss!! :)

  • @vfreebug2 i too gave my son a kiss and hug, 12 days later we got word he was KIA. we still love our country. God Bless you

  • @vfreebug2 Oh my god.

  • i would love to be in the military someday!

  • Hey tolla, I'm sure you are some piece of shit just trying to get a rise, but you have picked the wrong topic. As the saying goes if you dont want to stand behind the troops feel free to stand in front of them. As a soldier and a afghanistan vet, I feel dirty even responding to a low life terrorist comment like yours, I'm very sure you are not a true Canadian, and have no buisness living in this Country I so love. I hate you for making me stoop to your level but you need to go unfuck yourself

  • You know I wasn't gonna play into your mindless bullshit...but no I can't let this crap slide...Have you been to Afghanistan?.....I'm gonna guess no....So just remember my Grandfather and now my husband are fighting for your right to spout this garbage

  • @tolla36 your a doosh!

  • @tolla36 you jerk... you have no idea what it it means to lose your dad in a war. Do you know how hard it is to be told your dad is not coming back to christmas? when you did not get to tell him you love him and tell him goodbye?

  • i plan on joining the U.S. Navy!

  • Thanks canadians for your support in Afghanistan to our american troops. I salute your troops and pray as well for your families ..

    God bless USA...

  • im fighting for you all

  • thank you so much, it is not all in vane son

  • Thank you. Yeah thats what he keeps telling me, hes so proud of what hes doing i cannot ask him to stay. Ill just be on the sidelines rooting him on. He knows he can possibly die over there but hes willing to do that, hes proud of his country and wants to defend it. But he promised me no matter what he will come back for me, and thats what i can hold onto

  • My boyfriend leaves in April for a 10 mnth tour. Im due a week after he leaves, i dont know how im going to get through this

  • Sweetie, just think of it this way--he's going to do his job and you'll be doing yours. It's rotten timing, I know, but you'll have his baby and raise it to know this picture on his dresser is Daddy! Send Dad lots of pictures and lots of news--make him feel he's a part of his baby's life everyday. We'll be praying for you--let us know how it all goes! Katie.

  • I've been informed by my son that Jason leaves from Edmonton on Monday, September 28, on an undisclosed charter

aircraft. He goes to Winnepeg, Cyprus, Dubai to Kandahar. He's deployed for 6 months, then home for a year then re-deployed. It seems Chinook pilots do 6-month tours, Griffon pilots do 8 or 9. So--a small blessing!

  • My dear friend (Possybeatty) I am a soldier in the US Army and I am fighting in Mosul, Iraq. It is hard, letting someone you know leave for combat (my kids and wife pray and cry for me every night) but we are all in this together, all over the world to fight the Alquida, and Taliban...I will pray for him everyday as I do all the families back home...for us soldiers fighting on the front line, we ALL thank you back at home for your support...that's what keeps us fighting...and coming home!!

  • Such kind words, dear man, and it's comforting to realize so many "strangers" are keeping Jason in their prayers. I once heard there are no "strangers", just friends we haven't met! Your wife and kids can be very proud of you, and I, for one, will be praying for you and yours as I pray for my boy. God keep you all.

  • My grandson leaves for Kandahar in 13 days. He is a pilot, in the Canadian Airforce, and flies those huge Chinook helicopters. I know his work will be S&R but that won't mean a thing to the Taliban, if they see it they'll shoot it. I never knew anybody in service before and I'm finding it all so painful.

  • Dont worry too much, the CAF are the best of the best of any pilot in canada, flyboys, they're amazing. You're grandson will save alot of lives, and his training will ensure he will be safe. IMO tal'ban's cant aim, just random, your grandson will make it through, he, and the rest of the flyboys are trained for those situations.

  • I'll admit he's had some pretty awesome training, most recently in Alabama, Pennsylvania and California! I must trust what he's learned is enough to overcome a, perhaps, inferior machine! Canada, like the UK, isn't fond of making sure our military has the best.

  • He might help our british troops since our goverment is to cheap to provide proper equipment for our troops

  • Let's just hope Canada didn't buy Chinooks from Britain! I recall we bought some submarines, used ones, and they needed a lot of work. As for the choppers, I was reading Brown was too cheap to allow the proper codes from the manufacturer to be put in and some software from who-knows-where was used and the machines were crashing.

All to save a few pounds so gits like Blair could retire in luxury. :)

  • @Possybeatty if its to protect the soldiers, why do we hold back? give what you can, so they can protect whats left.

  • Thank you so much, it means so much to us. I applaud the fact that you respect what we did, it ie very impressive! Thanks!

  • Hooah I would like to say this is a great video i no what it feals like to miss someone my bf has had 2 tours and is about to have another one march or 2010 ): i will miss him alot!

  • I'm a 31 year veteran of the Canadian Forces. When people come up to me and thank me for my service to Canada... I always feel a little awkward and embarassed. I'll say it now: You are very welcome. I would gladly do it all again without changing a thing.

  • semper fi

  • joining up for the army soon. pray for me i know im doing the right thing

  • As an American Veteran, I want to express my gratitude to the Canadian Armed Forces that are currently serving in Afghanistan along side our troops. THANK YOU.

  • good tribute mate,, in a week im leaving for afghanistan :) im gonna go get them fuckers who think they can go around killing civilians and attacking our troops which are there...) i have already lost a few mates in this war and tbh im not gonna loose anymore cos we aer kicking there arses and we will win and we wont give up until we have won... wish me good luck and good luck to all the allied forces in afghanistan and i hope everyone returns home safely :D

  • its nice to now that this is a Canadian tribute and a Canadian singer is singing it. Good job on the video. God bless all those who serve. God keep them safe

  • im so glad my dad can't go to war because hes sick yes hes in the air force and now im sad that my big bro is going to be a pilet that will fly over the war

  • Hey all,

This is a video made a 11 year old girl. It signifies the fact that when her daddy goes overseas, she will miss him like only a daughter can.

It's 4 mins and 27 seconds from a generation that is sorely deficient in the family values area.

Can't we let this kid have her 4:27 without having to throw in the bickering?

There a at least a million other videos out there to muck up with the comments - let's let her have this one thing for her daddy.

    Okay?

  • sorry but life isn't happy unicorns skipping around and everyone is rich and not hungrey! yes i agree they do need some love and happiness but wat about when they grow up and realize they don't get that in the real world....... by this time they will realize that life is a roller coaster and not a beautiful journey sometimes...

  • nicely said. its unfortunate that those comments find themselves here.

  • @Cmdr213 Well said.

  • @Cmdr213

    AMEN

  • @Cmdr213 Hey this is the girl who made the video, 5 years ago.

I appreciate your support, and I'm glad you understand what my point was.

My dad went to Afghanistan September 11th, 2008, and he came back April 11th 2009. That moment when I finally got to hug him when he got off his plane was the best moment of my life. I'll never forget the feeling of knowing my dad's home and safe.

  • @StephanieHunter100 i read this comment and i love this video my dad was in the army 8 years ago when i was 4 but unfortinatly passed away before going to afghanistan so thanx so much for doing this video

  • @Cmdr213 WELL SPOKEN SIR OR MAM, FROM AN ARMY VET HOOA, NOW ALL HATERS HALF RITE FACE- FRONT LEAN AND REST POSITION- MOVE

  • ...and the day before they saved many lives from those who don't care. Nothing in life is perfect, but intentions are golden. Work to make a difference USMilitaryEatsDong vice complaigning and doing nothing. You've done zip except watch videos and belly-ache.

    Brian Nelson

  • shut up K???? that wasn't really a question either! i have two in the military how do you think i feel?? but we gotta keep holdin on.....

  • hey ass idiot there arn't my kids they are my sister and brother! oh it is for terriosm...... i am proud that they are fighting for our independce! war is really sad sader then i even imagned but you want us to just lie back and let terrists attack us??? if they do die i will miss them even more! but they died for a noble cause i will be proud of that...... i love them to deaf but we have to fight...

  • where a peace keeping coutry we dont need this bullshit!

    R,I.P fellow Canadian's.

  • 0:52 is the hardest part of war.... having to carry a fellow soldier who gave his life up for his country so that others can live a free life... good video

    so yeah lol...

    x

  • god bles all of the troops and let them live in peace with my dad in heavan

  • i am a proud supporter of this war and i think president bush was right by sending our troops over but i also believe that this war has gone on to long and would love to see our troops back in the states thanks

  • pulling everyone out and nuking Iraq would just piss off the rest of the world then they would launch there rockets at us... come on bro think

  • This war has been going on for so long. My dad was in the first half of this war before 9/11 he got out early though luckily. I support all who are in the army, navy, airforce, marines, ect... and i support all the families who are dealing with a loss. i believe we should just end this war and pull all the soldiers out and nuke iraq and the al queida network and be done with it. It will save a lot of suffering and a lot of deaths.

  • Then feel free to prove to us your ignorance...

Good video by the way little man, as a soldier I would like to say thank you...

  • it is said to know that it is the rich to get to stay home, while the poor go off to war....

  • Oh thats the case is it? I come from a multi million dollar family and I joined the service when I was 18 and I'm still in,,, so shut your mouth you ignorant fuck...

  • dude... freedom of speech. So shut up.

  • i can say whatever i want so fuck off.

  • Only the poor huh? Pat Tilman only gave up millions to join the Army. I am sure there are plenty of people who are not "poor" who joined. There are people out there who want to serve something bigger than themselves. And yes BTW, to the posted of this vid, great job! At 11 you have the maturity and soul of an adult! Air Force (13 years and counting)

  • my brother is in the front lines every day i hope for the best for him and all the troops, i respect all the troops tht are risking there lifes as i write this message for our safety

  • great video!!one of the most beautiful....what s the name of the song???

  • keep holding on is the name of the song

  • LoL @ 2:52.

Even though those brave soldiers are fighting, they still have time to have a little fun. Stay strong over there Canada and you all have my full support. Come home safe.

  • 107 great human being have died for us and the afghani people! stay strong troops, you have 100% of my support

  • rest in peice soldiers.....youve earned it

  • they didnt earn shit! they went there, fought and prayed for good but so many people disrespect those men. some are still kids, and they go to war and here they talk shit man, but they died proudly for their country, and god will understand that

  • it kinda looks like i want them to die but i didnt mean it that way, I mean that the soldiers that did die can rest in peace

  • no holy, i knew what u mean, i just joined the army, and i know the feeling, im scared like fuck, but hey, there's gotta be heroes, yes they surved theirs but there's too many people that disrespect soldiers, and thats what cuts me.

  • My big brother got sent to the front lines, i didnt hear from him for 2years most of my family gave up on him,4 days ago he came home i couldnt stop crying. I hope next time you get shiped put you come home in one, and i got a question whats everyone fighting for??

  • people dont really support soldiers because they either say that we got there for OIL, money or just killing. A lot of people think we are there for OIL, yes we are, but we barley defend OIL, we mostly look for terrorists. I have to disagree with all the haters, and I support soldiers day from day...they die for us to be safe not for OIL or money.

  • you and every other soldier have my full support british, french,Canadian i dont care there doing an awome job. MatthewGK01 i might not know you but if you do get sent there do me 1 favior come back in one peice xx

  • We all support you, I know it is going to be hard, but know that everyone you love and all that love you back have your back and will be there for you every step of the way. It will be okay.God Bless you..

  • <3 wow

  • im in grade 9 but once i get my grade 10 im going to go over there and help them

  • isn't that too young? well im not sure where you live but either way......... isn't it a bit young?

  • My boyfriends dad is in afghanistan we are all thinkin of him and this song is makin me that lil bit stronger and we are all gettin stronger and i showed them this video you have helped every one xxxxxxxxxx

  • may allah watch over him

  • No matter what Nationality, all of the troops enduring the equivilent of hell keeping the peace, deserve as much respect as humaly possible, if not more. So what I'm English, I still support the Canadians, Americans, French everybody who is winning, but at a price.

This made me think. I want to sign up for the RAF when I get older, but seeing these made me realise. What If I don't come home, even worse. what if a friend does not come home. It saddens me to think abou this.

  • Videos liek this really make me think how much I take for granted everyday, freedom, my own bed, my family, friends, girlfriend. I have no family deployed right now. I thought about signing up once I was of age. But im not that strong at heart. I truely honor these men and women....

  • 0:31 nice to see they're having a little fun lol... God Bless

  • thank you very much, and he actually is currently in afghanistan :( but i do get to talk to him alot, and now, im nolonger 11, but im 13, so it's a little easier to deal with it, but it's still very hard, and if any of you have family in the military, or they are overseas, you have my support 100%.

    with love,

    steph13music aka pierre1111

    (my new account is steph13music)

  • Sweetie, dont worry your dad will be perfectly fine. Before you know it he will be back into your arms to hug once more. Your dad is very brave and many have an unmeasurable amount of respect for him. I am sorry that you have to go through your dad leaving and I am not going to say its easy but he is doing what he thinks is best. God bless you father and your family. I hope that he will be back in a flash.

  • in the discription when you say 'ill be sad to when my dad goes'dont say that you never know he could be a survivor...you know what i know he'l be a survivor so dont ever say that alright dude

  • war sucks ;( it tears families apart. even if it is the enemy, they are probably feeling the same thing. depending on who is fighting who. Even if i dont believe in God, i still hope that all soldiers will make it home safely.

  • we o everything to soldiers. they sacrifice them selves FOR US.
