"Beyond the façade of the public image you build, is the man whose groggy eyes and messy hair must be faced in the steamy mirror of each new morning. There is no lying to that dude. He knows the deal, he knows your true identity. This to me, is not cynicism or pessimism, but instead the beginning of enlightenment. " - G diesel from animalpak
people need to stop lyin' to themselves. take fuckin' responsibility for your goddamn lives.
stop blamin' the unconscious mind for your stupidity
hahahaha, the last minute of the video is fuckin' hilarious. also, it is very beautiful because it states that which is simply true. YOU are fucking responsible for whatever the fuck happens to you. YOU.
Interesting video.TBH I wasn't aware that there is an argument against the 'unconscious mind' .For me the conscious mind is the 'self that is aware of its being';cogito ergo sum. The 'subconscious' or 'unconscious' mind for me is a part of this same mind but is 'out of site'.For example, imagine your office and its content is your self/mind,the conscious part is what you are concentrating on,looking at,aware of or even thinking about. The unconscious is everything else. But u still know its there.
Just a side-note. This is a good observer. The "unconscious" is appropriately ill-defined. After all, it is out of consciousness. What there is, however, most certainly is an "I" that is not anything else. This "I" is always there and never moves. Materially fixed minds may miss even the holographic aspect they espouse. There is a core reality, the true self, the heart, the soul: YOU. It is anything but unconscious. We wander about semi-consciousness in the external.
3 You have no idea where dreams come from and their biological basis. Because you are stuck in the unconscious cult you think that is dreams don;t come from a logical mind that they have to come from an unconscious mind. The problem is that there is no logical mind either. Google"dreams serotonin"
Thanks Paul.....The new stuff we are looking into explains much of what was once considered the "unconscious mind". What we suggest does not mean that hypnosis is not useful. It means that we have to rethink how it is applied to make changes.
I've always understood the unconscious like this: Whatever you focus on, at any given moment, is your conscious; everything else is your unconscious. But as you explained, it's a limiting metaphor. If you replace the word mind with awareness, then there may be something to that, though I'm skeptical of certain claims about how that works.

Of course the SC mind does not exist, in reality. It is just a metaphor.

That is great! It is amazing how you can change someone's life with one simple tool. Great job!

4 setting your thoughts in motion does not equate to an intelligent unconscious mind.
5 there is no 'it'
6 imagination not unconsciousness. The truth is that most of his inventions did not work
7 To a cult member that would be like trying to prove God does not exist.
The unconscious mind is a flawed unusable model that does not produce very good results.

As a hypnotist for almost twenty years this has always bothered me.
How comes the great subconscious is so dumb.
Keep bursting the bubbles Tom.

Where did I say that 'thoughts' do not exist? Frankly you either need to learn to listen or you are so brainwashed you can't think for yourself.

Spot on tom :)
it's sick that some think they can use a "mental template" to fix people

Thanks. I think it is time for a new way of looking at the mind

Yeah, if you talk to a person, you hear instantly how he/she have their one layout of how they think and how they use their brains
