  • can you tell me how big the piece of lead u added to the sr 71 was cause i have 1

  • @unionpacific08 think I added 4 7gram pieces, for a total of about an ounce, on the very nose

  • I LOVE HOW YOU TOOK THE SINGING OUT OF THE MUSIC , LEARN TO FLY IT SOUND SO AWESOME!!!!!!!

  • @TheBeatlesRUL3 thanks, just a decent karaoke version to stop Youtube's copyright Nazi from muting my video. I just dispute the copyright notices now though

  • I also have the F-117... it flies ok straight, and will roll great, but is severly underpowered and won't loop at all. I even treid at 4-cell battery(which pulled 36.7Amps)... the 40A ESC that came with it stock wouldn't hold up to 36.7AMPS!!! Junk products from nitroplanes/bananahobby.... Yet I can't stop buying and testing them lol! But I am always disapointed! Stick with Horizon or Tower and you will have much better luck!

  • @earthling1984 ya same here, trying to get some of the nicer stuff, E-flite F86 just working on, and a F14 that I hope will fly well with working swing wings

  • Thanks for the videos. It is sad about the Blackbird. Always a pleasure to watch on youtube when you can't be at the field.

  • thanks for watching

  • This would be cool with a B2 Bomber flying with them.

  • ya we love doing formation stuff, always trying to get guys with scale edf's to do it with us

Right now we're doing formation with two 80" wingspan formula one racing planes, called Sundowners. They have identical 2.10 moki engines

  • Pity about your friend's blackbird! I've seen enough of those particular ones go down on YouTube to decide not to get one... I just printed out some SR 71 schematics to start a scratchbuild instead so I can take all the responsibility if it hits the deck!

  • I've still got mine, works fine. Good luck with the build, just make it light enough with enough power and anything will fly

  • what editor u using here?

  • Think I was using Sony Vegas Pro here

  • ahh ok...i just stick to windows movie maker but its such a bummer trying to find a converter that converts windows movie make files for free

  • nice

  • Thanks DPLmovies

  • daym warderseeker how many jets do u have, u must have ur own hanger there to keep them in lol, i have 4 jets, my lastest is a sapac bitza, its cross between an f22 and typhoon, it has typhoon fuse and and f22 wings that i used as delta wing, i used one of the vertical fins off the f22 as rudder and i put some spare electrics i had laying around in it. all i need to do is give it a paint job then ill hit the field.

  • Oh there's a few, but sold a few edf's lately, to pay for turbine oil and kerosene lol Damn turbine flights cost like $3 for 8 minutes haha

Right on about the bitza, post some video of it, would be cool to see

  • yeah i know what you mean about the turbines

  • And that's just on my P60, the bigger jets, must be up around 8bucks a flight. I go through about 2 litres in 8 minutes, little more

  • Just got the F 117---any tips---first time I flew one of these it went hi alpha on landing--had to push down nose---any fixes in cg??

  • Ya had the same thing happen. Keep the speed up on landing, and it will track better, try more weight up front too, it has lots of throw to compensate. Thanks for watching

  • how much does a sr71 remote control cost becuse im thinking of buying and joining a club for remote control airplanes jets here in riverside ca

  • The SR71 was about $250 or so, but it is not the plane you want to try flying right away. notice how the guy at the end crashed his? not exactly all the planes fault, ducted fans are hard to fly. Need to get a cheap foam high wing trainer so you don't crash the blackbird when you get it. You can also get a sim that comes with a transmitter that plugs into the usb port in your computer, and you learn by crash over and over again on the computer first

  • ok i will thanks

  • and what ever you do don't give up

  • Are those electric or gas.. I tried a heli once but crashed and burned I'll stick to my Cars lol nice vid!!!

  • The jets are just 11.1v electric fans and the heli is nitro. Dont worry about the helis, they are super hard unless you get a sim and really get used to it. 150bucks and you can crash all you want, then get something like a blade 400

Thanks for watching, and check out Roninsrcracing for land based RC

  • this looks like a lot of fun

  • Thanks a lot, I love sims and use one for practicing heli stunts but flying this stuff and larger like Turbine Jet models really is a huge addiction and adrenaline rush. I'll send you a vid of one of our Jet Rallies so you can see these things in action. Actually harder to fly than most real stuff as the perspective is not from the cockpit.

    thanks for the comment!

  • Nice one! You really put that Blackbird in.

  • Thanks, that one can land well, right CG sure helped. Too bad about the other one, it's been glued back together but will probably be replaced by mine, as I'm selling the pristine body to him.

    Thanks for watching

  • No his is already maxxed out from buying the F18 and apprentice parts lol

Dont actually have much footage from it, flying too much stuff myself, but no footage of that either. Maybe a minute of 2 or 3 of us flying together thats usable, I'll see what happens

  • The Apprentice only cost me $19 to fix from my Saturday "event". I LOVE glue. Uh, for the plane, that is.

  • Figures a CubDestroyer would have an addiction to Glue, glue victim lol. Should have had footage of that event, told you to tell me when you're going to do that stunt flying

  • It would come out faster if you gave Ronin your Visa number.

  • Did it come with instructions? Email bananna hobby and ask them for the cg, they should know it. Mine is different so, motors and esc right, so yours will be more tail heavy than mine, and the cg different

  • Maybe we should hold a May Scale-a-thon at Kamikaze?

  • Ya, I want to try a Scale meet again, we'll see if I wait right until May or what, need to know a couple weeks ahead that we'll be ok, but kinda tough to predict. Maybe only a week would be enough time to get the word out to people.

  • Another 5er bro.

  • Thanks man, scale shit looks so cool in the air, if it wasn't for the light poles...lol

  • Now what do you name you? lol Plow Queen? Blackbird killer?

  • Plow Queen....sexy!

  • So this is why I didn't see you out at pipeline this weekend, eh? :)

You missed me thundering in my Blade :)

  • That's Ok, I"m sure I'll catch it next time. Had to catch video of the snow plow queen thundering in the SR71. Wish I had the camera at the time, I could have zoomed in to seen the foam confetti

  • by the time you add shipping and duties, exchange, you'll be way over 200. I couldn't take less than 180, no battery no reciever

  • Great video as usual..... by the way, what model video camera are you using? The resolution is great.

  • Thanks a lot dude, it's a Sony HDR-SR11, records in 1920X1440 then I output it after editing with a XVID codec at 1280X720 makes it look amazing in HD mode, but not as great as I'd hope in normal mode. Thanks for watching.

  • Ouch! No elevon mixing Al ??? mmmmm.... ; -)

Great Preditor footage, nice flying Jeff !

  • Hey Adam, going to sell my SR71 to AL, get him parts from mine to get it flying again, if we can agree on price lol

Nice flying with the 3D plane this weekend, see you out there again,

    Ronin

  • Can't remember if he said that plane or not, but another jet, the rudder channel is not working on the rx, so he has it mixed into aileron LMAO

So the right stick steers on the ground

  • If you're going out to fly it, call me and I'll see if I can get away

  • Hi :) Once again great flying and sorry bout the SR71 crash. It was a nice plane. Just got my new Panasonic HDC-SD9E-S camera today.

  • Thanks, no worries for the crash, now I can sell mine to him, and get the 4 cell version with retracts. Like to see some footage from that Panasonic. Thanks for watching

  • Ouch, sorry bout that one. I hate crashin! I wonder if anyone in hobby has never crashed. This hobby has us by the cajones :) Love the music! Fab 5/5.

  • Ya it happens. I don't think it's possible to be IN the hobby and not crash, not likely anyways. Gotta have the cajones in the first place lol...especially flying around Anarchy RC and Crazy Ass AL. or so his buds say. Thanks man, got a new F5 myself, going to maiden soon. Guy upgraded the hell out of our Starmax one, but it's so heavy now...should be fun

  • Well, got like 5 flights on it, how much did you pay for yours?

  • I bought mine off ebay but they said warranty was by Bannana Hobby, ad said 5 servos, showed picture of retracts, but when I got it, only TWO servos and no retracts. Messaged the guy about it, got a copy pasted list back of the parts, no answer . Ready to buy my SR71? Might as well get it now, while mine is in good shape! Just pull the fans and motors out of your, and whats left of the retracts, put it all in, and you're up again. Don't fly that F5 unless I can get there either lol

  • Yet another great video mate and the comment at the end of the video is true about being the best HD R/C vid's on YT lol,i just got back from three great flights today and now going to take my mini pred 3D out in the back garden after seeing your HULK up again lol,5*

  • Cool, thanks Taz, Yep get the mini-predator up, and get some stick time in, spring is around the corner, I have to get my Trex up too, almost ready to go now

  • I get this sinking pain in my gut when I see a plane crash... Lucky for me, you don't crash much! ;)

  • haha...ya well, Lucky for me too, wish I had been lucky and had been filming AllanShoafRocks the SR71 but thankfully CubDestroyer was still filming in time.
