Wow! It looks like I am looking at my own tank! I have a clownfish food clip like that! I also have a blue oranda (Auggie) and a ryu that looks just like your orange/white one (Neptune)! Awesome! :D

when i was about 8 yrs old, i would try to get the snail out of my small garden with this plant i smushed into pieces and they would eat them! it was cool cuz the food was visible through the neck and i saw the food go down the throat! then, the funny part was when a fat snail ate too much and it pooped, the poop came out of his/her shell.......lol my neighbor which is my age helped! LOL

do you still have the same amount as you brought ive herd you can end up with 100s of them from the one snail, they dont need a male or female to reproduce

Alage is not all they eat.I have no alage in my tank and my snail is fine.He heats veggie wafers.

@pinkraindrop101 correct! They eat everything, i just feed mine goldfish pellets and algae wafers and hes fine, he'll also inch on my plants and even my goldfish's poop! Green beans and broccoli are nice too ;)

They enjoy blueberries too! I have tried feeding my different things and so far I think they have enjoyed corn and blueberries the but, anything rich in C is good for them

all true hermaphrodites can reproduce by themselves, but prefer a partner so they can mix genes - its offspring is a genetic clone of itself.

buy a ramshorn snail, a single one, and introduce it to an aquarium full of live plants and food, and you will find your aquarium full of ramshorn snails sooner or later (i use them as an example because they are notorious for reproducing quickly)

@APWesties5 As terrestrial snails are hermaphrodites most of the marine gastropoda got separate sexes and you can identify a male marine snail with the so called "love dart", it is a penis and you probably see it whilst the copulation near the mouth. If it is not mating you won't see it at all.
