No its the amp :) trust me on that =p  i've played MANY DBZ guitars and none of them sound muffled, muddy, too bassy, or whatever you wanna call it. all I know is that DBZs are by far the best guitars i've ever played and i've player the best of the best (supposedly) trust me on that =p

@ForMetalWeWouldDie I only can say that this price is just accurate to the quality of the guitar. These pickups guarentee good and pretty hard rock sound. Maybe even too hard for me, but still it's worth it man ;] For this price, awesome.

wow that's such a terrible review --' most people are going to buy this guitar for metal playing and he played the same kind of music the whole time and didn't even change the settings so yeah you can just see what the guitar looks like and sounds like with those settings that's great...

@Winterhe4rt I believe it is a moderately thick "V" profile neck. I got to play one. It felt really smooth, and played well. I'm not usually an EMG fan, but this guitar kicks ass.

Not really a review is it. More like showing off. Only way to know what a guitar's like is if you actually go to a store and try it yourself. From this video you're not gonna be able to tell how the neck feels, what the sound's like first-hand etc. This guy didn't even describe anything. Ridiculous.

i have to agree with that 110%!! my dbz import blows my gibson usa custom out of the water!!!! dbz pros- better pickups than les paul, construction....yes you heard me correct this thing has better craftsmanship than my les paul, sound, neck profile.. cons of dbz - it dosnt look like a les paul... pros of gibson it looks like a les paul... cons.... there was a factory paint defect so i returned it, three weeks after my new model arrived....the headstock snapped off.

i dont see the difference with dbz and deans guitars they r built the same they use the same material to make their necks the only difference is that they all come with floyd rose as a standard and that they r way more expensive then dean guitars at least dean is making their guitars more easier to afford like these guitars u have to be rich to buy them

the imports are the same price as deans but u get a real floyd. and they are built like deans were when dean actually owned the company (actually worth a damn)

The difference is in the body's design and in the tone of the pickups they choose. A lot of these guitars are really thin in width. Dean's whole reason for leaving dean guitars was because he believes that guitar line has gone to shit and wants to make his product the best it can be which he couldnt with dean guitars. Sure your paying less for a dean but your losing in quality. I actually just called up and contacted the NY rep to find the BOP red flame maple top. These guitars are sick.

not really ive played both guitars and personaly dbz guitars dont feel as good as dean guitars everyone is saying dbz was he talent of dean i think dean just got ris of the problem and i agree with marrog thier way to expensive i wouldnt pay they money thier asking for the guitar because the guitar isnt worth it thier just worser made cersions of dean guitars just made a little flashier looking
