  • song title (One Million Miles Away) by J Ralph

  • genius

  • @policeluigi ZST (the organization he was fighting in) allowed fighters to fight without gloves if they wanted, but they would only be allowed to use palm strikes to the head of their opponent, no closed fists to the head.

  • This is awesome! it should be remaded adding the last fights he had

  • Does anybody know what this music is called, cos it's fuckin amazing

    Godspeed

  • @MrJordybt It's One Million Miles Away by J Ralph.

  • the first rule of combat:never attempt to kick masakazu imanari

  • anybody knows the song??

  • 1:19 looks like another version of him from a parallel universe watching himself fight..lol creepy

  • @helladatguy all asians don't look alike :P

  • @helladatguy

lol yeah ZST... the only mma organization crazy enough to do tag team matches.

  • @jigsaw99 DEEP did tag matches as well.

  • still one of my fav fighters...nasty crazy style...

  • *belongs

  • This guy belomgs on the MARVEL team!

  • In real life of fighting, if his opponents go together 2 guys then how can he fights?

If he choice "lie down fighting" that how I call, When u down that mean you get kill in real fight (street fight) but in MMA OK to win because 1 on 1... Some what!

  • @CharlieDoan butthead

dont forget : MMA is actually a sport. There are rules you must respect !!!

And Street fighting is bullshit !

if you think you cannot use bjj in a real fight, then, buy a gun, it is much more simple..........isn't it?

  • @CharlieDoan you definitely underestimate mma, but go train it for a few months(good coach required) and then tell me its useless in a street fight. you'll figure out which is street safe and not....also people don't just lie down and try and attack you lol imagine there is a setup you go through to get there...

  • @xvidzzz Or carried on a stretcher.

  • 1:13 kick reversal was amazing, that thing seriously looked like it was gonna mess him up!

  • he is a fucking snake

  • @xvidzzz Not everyone he fights walks out of the ring

  • @xvidzzz Not everyone he fights walks out of the ring

  • bjj

  • tight

  • Imanari HATES ankles

  • His BJJ is sick besides his leg submissions. He has a pretty good rubber guard.

  • great fighter, anyone else think he holds onto his submission holds a tad too long?

  • its like watching a spider catch a fly

  • 1:09 WHY WOULD YOU TRY TO KICK THIS GUY??? Of all things, just...just don't let him NEAR your leg!

  • 1:18 LOL look at Yano just hanging out in his socks

  • @50pushups

I just had this image of Imanari grabbing a random foot and locking it haha.

  • hes deceptive as hell

  • What's the name of the song ? I gotta have it no joke

  • @VitaNegern77 "One Million Miles" by J.Ralph

  • @MMA2Frog Thanks a lot man

  • perfect elusive song for such a dynamic fighter!

  • woow Ö

  • what is this music??

    please tell me this music

  • Great music and technique, thanks

  • The whole highlight is from one event...

  • 1:16 on da left hand side ring.. wtf?;;

  • @Erae007 Hahaahahaha

  • fawkin smooth ass movement....damn imma lay dis out on facebook haha

    btw what the song title?

  • 1:37 Oh Shit that is the nastiest knee bar i have ever seen! Shit!!

  • Masakazu imanari from JAPAN & Rousimar palhares (TOQUINHO) from BRAZIL THEY´RE a GREAT Leglock and anklelock Specialist , thats very KOOL

  • jiu jitsu puro, bom lutador

  • its true, even my bjj buddy admits, he cuts alot of weight to move to the lower classes to dominate. Unless the japanese fighter was insanely good which some of them are, then they'll stand a chance against roid monkeys.

  • can someone tell me why was he not wearing gloves on all the fights??

  • @msingstudio I think that gloves were optional at this event, however, you weren't allowed to strike with a closed fist without them.

  • @msingstudio Did you notice he never striked. Only threw flying kick to lure people to the ground. The gloves whoulden't let him submit as well.

  • love this HL absolutely LOVE IT

    one of my favs

  • Winning by the easiest way - Jiu Jitsu

  • Wow really aggresive heel hooks. But just wondering, how come the Japanese fighters don't do so well in UFC? They look tough in Pride...

  • @tom8me because most of good japanese fighters fight in japan and not ufc. aoki, kawajiri, hioki, yamamoto, mizuto hirota, yokota, kanehara etc would dominate the ufc and wec if they fight there.

  • @jingiskhan100 not taking away anything from any of those fighters but no... just no...

  • @jingiskhan100 Aoki just lost to the Strikeforce lightweight champion, which is pretty bad cuz Strikeforce blows. Also, Takanori Gomi just got destroyed by Kenny Florian....these japanese fighters would not dominate, they would be dominated

  • @jingiskhan100 Aoki was considered to be the best Japanese fighter, and he got schooled by Melendez.

  • @tom8me weightcutting. Japanise fighters tend to refuse to do it. normal weight cutt for western fighters is 10-15pound in just water weight. Main reason, aswell that with mainly american fighters ofc americans will usually dominate ;)

  • @tom8me They're small, and they get controlled against the cage a lot.

  • @tom8me size difference, also style differences. Many UFC fighters are focused on winning while many of the japanese want to put on a show with exciting moves(flying triangles).

  • WOW this gives new meaning to the phrase "Pulling Your Leg".....okay bad joke.

  • the serpent!

  • imanari scares the shit out of me.

  • @subgrap7 I don't find him scary but if he so much as brushed my leg I would tap furiously.

  • If I was a mma fighter, this would be one guy I would not want to fight. When he gets hold of your leg, be prepared for it to make a nice crackling sound, then be prepared to scream your ass off.......ouch!

  • Legs Master!!! Woaaaahhhh!! What is the name of the song?? i really like it!

  • @Akumaof33 One Million miles away by J ralph

  • He is sooooooo sick!!!!!!!! MAd respect.

  • he needs to go to the UFC

and why does he not where globes in his fights ?

  • He a natural 140lbs, way to small for the UFC LWs..

  • maybe he will make it in the ufc haha

  • Wec should sign him.

  • he doesn't wear gloves because he has more grip for leg locks without them. and since he chooses not to wear gloves, he is not allowed to strike with his fists

  • *BowZ* i LuV U ImAnArI

  • HIS SKILLS KILLS

  • Leg lock king!

  • Anyone know the name of this song? It sounds vaguely like a remix of Sweet Dreams.

  • J ralph one million miles away

  • go asian boy

  • According to Wikipedia, he has a very recent win by "omoplata neck crank..." can't wait to find out what that is!

  • It was sick.

  • Such a refreshing, different perspective Imanari brings.

    J-Ralph+excellent intros/sequencing from boozerwreckage doesn't hurt.

*Lights stick of Shoyeido Nazan and watches 4 more times*

    9/10

  • Totally agree -- out of the box approach. Volk Han used to have some innovative lead ins to leg attacks as well.

Great choice of music in this vid.

  • Thanks!

  • Anyone know what music that is?

  • J Ralph - one million miles away

  • i came to tears watching this. ASHIKAN JUDAN

  • is he the best ground fighter in the world?

  • No, but he's definitely an authority on leg locks. Right now, the three best are probably Marcelo Garcia, Roger Gracie, and Jacare.

  • yeah, most defenitly, but i dont think roger gracie should be on the list... he should be replaced by demian maia.

  • Roger Gracie is considered the best grappler right now. Marcelo Garcia even said that he's the biggest challenge. He's beaten Jacare a number of times, Xande Ribeiro, Mario Sperry, Shinya Aoki, Robert Drysdale a number of times, Marcelo Garcia twice (both of whom have beaten Maia). He hasn't been tapped out in a competition since he was a blue belt. Maia is certainly an amazing grappler, one of the best. But he's nowhere near Roger.

  • oo, well i gotta agree with that, i think that i probably ment in mma or something but, yeah, if there was a top 3 list, marcelo jacare and roger have to defenitly be on that, defenitly world class in there own downrights

  • If we're talking MMA none of those guys are the top contenders. Not yet at least. They're all amazing grapplers but they still have to learn the ins and outs of MMA. Maybe one day though. So agree with you on that. But in pure grappling the one who is considered the best right now is Roger.

  • like number 1? or next to the likes of garcia and jacare.?

  • Right now he's considered number 1. A few years ago Marcelo was considered number 1. Jacare has always been top three, but right now Gracie is considered the best.

  • oooo ok. so roger is 1 and marcelo is 2. jacare is 3?? but yeah i mean i cant believe how many world class grapplers there are, and these guys have surpassed them.

  • In my humble opinion:

    1.- Marcelo Garcia

    2.- Rubens Charles Maciel "Cobrinha"

    3.- Shinya Aoki

    4.- Imanari

  • don't underestimate the old master rickson :)

  • Exactly. Rumors have it that he still smokes all the top BJJers even today. They'll be the first to admit it. Rickson is Rickson -- the guy is a living legend.

  • yeah, wish i could experience his skill first hand

  • 3 things I want to do before I die:

Bang lots and lots of Japanese girls.

    Fly to the moon.

Be forced to cry by an Imanari leglock.

  • @TheJimster813 ahahh good one bro..but i dunno about the last one, imanari may break my leg. i rather get knock out by anderson

  • @TheJimster813

Hey, whatever floats your fetish-filled boat.

  • @TheJimster813 kill yourself while your at it mental ass

  • @TheJimster813 i can say thaaat heheh im training with him in tokio ;) hehe im happy

    thanks imanari, master or leglocks!

  • or wait, maybe it wasn't exactly like what imanari did there

  • king of leg locks

  • thank god i found this highlight again. this is a classic

  • i hope he goes toe UFC !!!

  • hes always an interesting fighter. didnt do well in Pride though, i hope he does better in Dream from now on

  • Frank Mir wanted to train with this guy for his fight with lesnar. I can see why haha

  • oorah go asian boy. im comin for you

  • I like how he takes the leg at 1:11.

  • Comment removed

  • Daje rade skubany ;D podoba mi się ten styl!

  • asian is for skill....that's awesome..

  • aww man the song to this video was soo awesome

it is a shame they deactivated it

what was it called if anyone can still remember??

  • J Ralph - One Million Miles Away.

  • was the song deactivated when you watched it 2 months ago? cuz it works now

  • it was gone for a period because of copy right claims i think

  • 0:29 oh that s fucking beautiful , perfection

  • in general im not as big a fan of ground fighting, but this guy makes it very interesting.

he is so skilled its unreal, i imagine it would be tricjy trying to figure a plan to fight him...

they should match him up against an octopus or something, that would be a cool fight

  • He is a snake.

  • Really Great Vid, never saw this guy, he got a lot of skills, a great inspiration, is wonderfull how a lot of good fighters keep in the shadows in a certain way with no one to take a look at them

  • One of my all time favourite fighters .. a true artist

    much respect

  • Wicked stuff. I love his DVD.

  • Nippon Top Team has the coolest style out there!

  • omg

  • 1:17 ... Awesome (!) transition from Heelhook to Toehold to Kneebar.

  • hey, anyone kno the name of this song??

  • The name of the song is One Million Miles Away by J. Ralph.

  • j-ralph one million miles(i think)

  • this man just beat KID and thats no joke.

  • He did not beat Kid Yamamoto, he beat someone on Kid's team (Atsushi Yamamoto) who happened to have the same surname.

  • Yah, i just realized after the post, Thanks.

  • Bjj owns u.

  • Imanari has great skill in the leg submissions and great speed for transitions but does he utilize any upper body submissions as well as he does the lower? Myself I think people underutilize leg submissions!

  • he's got a crazy armbar.

  • this guy is really good

  • 2:05 onward is fkn amazing

  • His timing was perfect....

  • unreal, i've never seen anything like this before.

he's like King from tekken or something

  • haha, rolling death cradle

  • A M A Z I NG, what a genius!

  • song anyone?

  • One million miles away- j ralph

  • Imanari is such a badass.

  • Great fighter, great video.

  • It is strange that he didnt competed in ADCC.

  • I would like to see any american LW deal with Shinya Aoki's one dimenssioness

  • Just like American MW's are dealing with Damien Maia's one dimensional-ness? :)

  • Yet he beat fighters who were LWs...

  • Have you actually watched some of his matches? He can strike (somewhat) and he uses it to set up his leg locks.

One dimensional wrestlers or strikers won't cut it in today's MMA but submission specialists like Imanari, Aoki and Maia can do fine with their style alone.

  • Imanari's strenght is leg hooks. Hmm, if you call a mastered move or style "one-dimensional"... then...

    ... i'd rather a "one-dimensional japanese owner/WINNER" than a "COMPLETE american LOSER".

    Nippon banzai!!

  • If you beat an American, be prepared for name-calling, because they'd think it makes up for the fact that they lost.

  • song?

  • why didn't imanari have gloves on?? is he just showing his grappling skills??

  • In ZST you can opt not to wear the gloves if you just throw palm strikes instead of closed fist punches. Makes grappling easier, especially chokes.

  • excellent show and beautiful music.

    What is this sound?

  • J. Ralph

    One Million Miles Away

  • thank a lot bruv!

    ;)

  • Talk about a 20th Degree in foot locks!

  • 1:32 is a O SHIT moment, you knew what was gonna happen next.

  • HOLY SHIT WOW

  • just wow ! :O

  • Nice Highlight, whats the name of this song?

  • One million miles away
