No it's an old term (used by musicologist Richard Toop in an article in 1987) and the composers in question don't like this term.

I sort of like this piece, it has a certain musical pattern. But please, whoever uploads classical music make sure the volume is higher.... i dont want to crank my computer volume up constantly...

That's as loud as it is on the disc. To make it louder would require amplification which would reduce the sound quality. Buy louder speakers.
