  • how did you break the tip? i have the tanto anaconda, and I am also extremely abusive to my knives lol... i am curious though, so i can learn from your mistake and not mine. thanks!

  • @CondemnedPatriot Tip prying into wood. After stabbing several quarters with it. It honestly shouldn't have broke. I've down similar abuse to a few other knives and their tips are fine. However, it could be because of the swedge on the tip. This is why I am extremely resentful of swedges. They serve very little purpose (some people say it is to lighten the blade. Really? Can't carry a few extra milligrams?) and can weaken the tip of the knife considerably.

  • Sheesh, what did that poor griptilian do to you?

  • does the pocket fit an altoids tin

  • @megalizardfreak Smaller size, yes. Large/normal, no.

  • @SharpSpears also do u recomend the tanto or hunters point , is this a good wood working knife

  • @SharpSpears im about to order this knife, can u please do a demo like its choping power, batoning, saw tezting, and just wood working.

  • @megalizardfreak I'm currently out of town, however, when I get back. I would be glad to.

  • @SharpSpears thx that would be awesome,

  • THAT's your first knife? i guess you'll be disappointed for every other knife you get. lol

  • @hibbityhooblah07 No, not really. It just means my standards are a bit higher.

  • @SharpSpears

lol just kidding dude, it is an awesome knife though for your first.

  • @hibbityhooblah07 Yea, thanks, though, kinda wish I was more knowledgeable back then though. Could have gotten myself a Swamp Rat or Busse. : D

  • I belive those teeth prevents use of batoning through wood?

  • @JoakimfromAnka Yea they do that too...hahaha. No they are alternating chain-saw cut teeth. Great for making square notches but not too much of anything else.

  • @SharpSpears Really The sawback works pretty well for me. Not like a folding saw but some green wood wrist thick.

  • @wilcox1219 I mean it works, just that batoning against the grain (or using a proper saw) is faster and more efficient. (Also, I can easily do the task with a smaller knife).

  • i know you said that the saw was good, but i was hoping for a demonstration... do you have a vid on it it your bushcraft vids? or maybe could you make a video of that? i would be really grateful

  • @jeffbengtson

Well, it's ok. Good for notching, but that's about it. If I had a small knife, I could make a notch just as quick or faster. I tried using it as a wire breaker (fence like wire), too, didn't really go so well.

  • Nice first knife man

  • I appreciate your review! Because of that, I ordered one.

  • I like TOPS Steel Eagle 107C better, my first knife.

  • Did yours come with a workable edge? I had to send mine away to be sharpened and after that it seemed to work fine.

  • Yea, mine came with a hair-popping sharp edge.

  • I carried one of these every day when I was deployed to Iraq. Its heavy but built like a tank. I never got to use it in combat but I cut apart a car trunk and chopped up the cement holding a window frame in place to make entry in a house. Didn't damage the metal much but i don't a lot of the black finish left anymore. I love it but I have the old kydex sheath that came with it. It was my biggest complaint about the knife from the beginning and still is.

  • That's pretty awesome and thank you for your service.

It is a great overall knife, but my complaint is quite the opposite of yours. If you interested, I'd be willing to trade for the Cordura sheath.

  • I need that knife.

  • you need to get you a micro widgy for prying!

  • That's what my FFBM is for. :D

  • NICE!

  • good review. i just ordered a steel eagle 111A with the hunters point. cant wait to get it. you have some nice knives. what do you use them for? camping hiking??? brush trees??

  • Bushcraft and anything that I can do in the woods. Training, etc. I really don't need another knife, but it would be nice to get an extremely rust resistant fix blade with serrations (for SAR, like the H2O from BM), though I really haven't come to a situation where a knife like that was needed. :D

  • very nice....looks heavy

  • That thing is a beast!

  • Thanks, though, it still had a tip failure. Lateral strength however is very impressive.

  • Hey mate, got your message.

My youtube acount is buggered up so it won't let me respond.

    I'll hit your email up.

  • Just showing off all your busted ass knives eh bro.
