I believe that every time I hear this song for years to come it will always give me this heavy feeling in my heart like it has right now. Brian and Justin will always be the only thing I think of when I hear it, and that last scene they shared together...gosh, I can't even properly articulate how desperately sad it makes me feel.
I cried so hard in this final episode of the last season and it had a lot to do with the music choices. Bravo to those who decided and I hate that it's only five seasons. I've been a Queer as Folk fan for a while now and I've seen the entire series 10+ times over and I still freak out even though I know what's going to happen....due to this series, I should be emotionally dead by everything that happens....So heartwrenching. Justin and Brian...what a pair. Ah, man, I love them to death.
With this song I traumatize myself .. the final scene was very sad but simultaneously taken pleasure of this history discovered congratulations for putting this one

I did hear this song off the Brian and Justin clip, but that's not why I love it. The melody, the echoing voice and elevating rhythm is what drew me towards the song, even more so the lyrics. There's something both lifting and sad about this song. Like you have found something whole, however when it was too late.
Why does everyone think the ending to QAF is sad? In my mind, it's pointing out that you should be in love with the PERSON, not love itself, as the former is true love. I think it would have been wrong for them to get married. They're still together.

I've only ever been able to watch that scene twice (and I watch QAF A LOT!) and it's so heartbreaking. One because, obviously it the end and two because the way it was shot was so beautiful. The projections were so good and I think that, and the time after Justin's bashing, was the only time they've ever really 'made love'. I'd never really listened to the lyrics until now, and well..
