  • I like your sound, I like your car, i like the color of your car (my fav i fact!!) Im gonna steal your car =)

  • i hear a k&n airfilter, dont i?

  • @Kreisverkehr00:

    You are right.

  • 10k away from buying an elise...

  • how reliable are these cars? i hear they're worse than range rovers meaning they will break down while driving? any insight?

  • I don't know where you heard that, but I doubt that they are unreliable. It has a 1.8 liter Toyota engine, which is very reliable. The vehicle itself has very basic which means less stuff on them that can break. So Im sure they would be ok when it comes to reliability.

  • my buddies dad owns one and his broke down only once in his lifetime and thats when he was really pushing it at the track.

  • @tennisplaya1869, weve had ours for bout 6 months and no problems at all, only thing weve changed was the exhaust cause with a stock one it got a bit dronie when idling

  • ive drive 2zz-ge lotus....nice, and fukcen quick but pricy

  • nulle parce que il et entrain de tuée son moteure.

  • Hello!i'm italian fan..!is this the original exhaust?!congratulation for the car!

  • My dad has that car, but with a darker blue

  • NICE COLOR!!!!

  • aw no clutch

  • i snore louder...

  • is it true that the Elise uses the Toyota Celica 1.8 engine ??

  • i kno its a toyota 1.8 but i dont kno if they use the same in the celica, if that helps

  • its the corolla engine i believe

  • Not even close. It's the GT-S Celica engine, not the Celica GT (which is the Corolla Motor)

    TOYOTA QUALITY!!

  • This engine is made by Yamaha (yup - Toyota also use Yamaha's engines) ;)

  • My friend! You are partially right! The Toyota GT-S Engine has a Yamaha Head.

  • Look the exhausts. This car was made between 2001-2003, with a MG ROVER engine.

  • ae86 used a 2.0 liter i think

  • 1.4

    Sw20 used 2.0

  • naw dude the AE had the 1.6L 4A-GE

my mk1 MR2 has the same thing.

  • Comment removed

  • yes its true, but its well tweeked up for the elise. and it was only put in the elise from 2004

  • elise uses 1.8 liter mg engines from the mg tf untill the 2006 elise...then it uses toyota engines...

  • lotus are raw lee lee ur mother a man

  • nice car, but I'm sorry.. nothing sounds better than a v8 engine!!!

  • how about a v12?

  • a v 12 sounds like 2 v6!!!

  • Your right it would be nice if they made this car with a V6 or V8 not a crappy inline4 they should make a V6 model.

  • BTW dont pop your pistons through your block going 0 mph.

  • Sounds like a honda w/ fart can muffler... nice.

  • you're garbage

  • If thats a later model elise then what he is doing is whats going to ruin the car. The variable valve timing switches at 6200rpm. Hes killing it by bringing it back and forth through the power band. Hed be better off just giving it smooth throttle from idle all the way to the rev limiter and then back down. Ps if you rev it to 9000 it wont hurt the camshaft. They put a rev limiter in for a reason. And the elise does have a rev limit. Its not track modified.

  • wont hurt the car? most cars have rev limiters. lol going 0 mph youre taking a chance on maring/scratching your piston without mass pulling against the engine.. i have an 03' 10th anniversary SVT supercharged cobra and i dont rev it to the limiter in neutral.. thats beGGingg for trouble.

  • i have a lotus, if you tach it up to 9 grand it will ruin the cams in the motor.

but you can floor it more than this guy haha

  • do u even know wut cams are u idiot

  • its a good thing you know how to start it now drive it

  • please sell the car to a good home, someone that will floor it.

  • sounds good at higher rpm's but at lower rpms it sounds like some five year old kid stuck a card in his bike spokes to get a sound hahaha

  • how much would one of these cost?

  • 50.000euros + or -

  • used abot 30,000 USD

  • sounds like it has a booger stuck in there or something lol

  • your a pussy you didnt even step on it if i had that car id be using it to the max

  • ...Its a lotus elise...I wouldn't...Your stupid I will just leave it at that...

  • At low revs it sounds like a guy snorting back some snot.

  • hahah short pipe sounds~

  • sound like a fart can

  • a few guys in my neighborhood have these

they look cool but i'd rather have a lambo or ferrari

  • yes i think all lotus drivers would. You do know that a lambo of ferrari will cost around 10 times more!

  • id take a elise over any ferrari and lambo except for the ferrarie f430

  • agreed...just so much funner to drive. perhaps not as flashy, but so much funner..

have a lambo in the garage, a ferrari on the street, but an elise to actually drive

  • yeah lol sounds like my dream garage

  • rev rev rev rev rev clank clank clankety clank - clunk "oh man my engine " LOL nice ride
  • it was an alrite sound, the lower revs are terrible, like not too sure but dont sound great, when it reaches the higher revs its amazing, sounds a bit like a honda.

  • Um, I own a 1992 Acura Integra with a 1.8 liter engine, and I can say now, the Lotus, sounds allot better, even if Lotus is now using Toyota engines.

  • nice car, and no it doesn't sound like a Honda. I've got an exhaust system on my Honda and it has less of a gurgle when you rev it more solid sounding.

  • eh....sounds like a honda...not too interested..

  • c'est bidon

  • c'est bidon

  • wow! sounds like a tuner car

  • The dual exhaust is standard on even the Toyota powered European version. You can also do a Larini exhaust on a federal Elise (US version) with 2 tips coming out the rear just like this video. So, I'm not sure which engine or exhaust this is...

  • I have a lotus elise but it doesnt sound anything like that

  • * dream car *

  • ooh i hadent expectat that sound out of a 1.8 ltr Engine :P

i wish i wasn't too tall to take a ride in one of those ^^

  • Austria 4-ever

  • hijos de puta maricas

  • does anyone know witch exhaust is better the Larini Sports Exhaust System or the array exhaust

  • what type of exhaust is this a Larini ????

  • Hmm.. same engine as the Toyota Celica GT-S.

You guys should check out the TRD exhause vids for the GT-S 2zz-fe. Sounds much better.

  • no that car has a dual exhaust system coming out either side which makes it a k series rover powered elise... the 111r with the 2zz-fe engine has a twin pipe exit out the bottom at the centre of the car. the 1 main difference u can tell between a 111s rover powered one and 111r toyota powered one

  • Elise S2 sound whith Rover K engine is great. Big vibes at low regime ! At high revs it's good too, but not as melodius as an italian engine. K-engine is a torque engine. In a way, its sound is close to old UK engines like Triumph and MGB. I love that too. But this video is poor. It doesn't make it. Automatic level Microphone are not made for catching these sounds.

  • patetic...

  • Your spelling is pathetic.

  • im no`t patetic you are one freak mi car is ford scor no need record the sound...

  • I can't understand anything that you're trying to say. Learn grammar and spelling please.

  • the high revs sound 100x better than the low revs

  • well ofcoarse it sounds good at hi revs thats because its a 4cyl

  • Wow, the low rev sounds idiotic, farty, blanchy. This car only sounds nice at high revs. If you want real revs like this get ae Subaru.

  • why put an exhaust on a car like this?! Madness!!

  • you know oh so little!

  • Love it at high revs, low revs is a little too farty.

  • i don't see how you think this sounds good, great car none the less.

  • Absolutely AMAZING. I'm glad I had the volume up when I watched this. A coffee mug vibrated off my desk during the video.

Where did you get this exhaust?
