Well done, Gene! Now if only we can bring justice to this catastrophe and remember we have a responsibility to our planet and the people, animals, and plant life on it.
Whilst I totally applaud this effort, the oil companies dont care. Texaco Chevron dumped many billions of gallons of waste byproduct from oil drilling directly into the rivers and streams of the Amazon rainforest covering an area the size of Rhode Island. and poisoning the drinking water of the people - yes "people" there. They now claim not to be responsible. The problem is that our debt based fiscal systems are tied into energy production from oil. The system is broken.
That is a disturbingly accurate portrail of how our Wildlife must feel covered in Oil and dispersants.. I'm ashamed of all of us Human beings for taking part in and perpetuating the ultimate destruction of Not only the Gulf of Mexico where I and thousands of others call home. But to the ultimate destruction of our planet as well. Thanks so much for sharing this eye opening video.
Planet earth is just that- planet earth. Drama queen Bullshit from the assholes who helped BP happen. Thanks for forcing us 2 drill deep. Save capitalism, prosperity and America from tree hugging propaganda whores. The earth will take care of itself
Gene, I am stunned by the immature comments being written about your video.
You have produced an incredible work. I had chills for the entire three minutes. To the childish responders, please understand that this is what is known as EMPATHY. Only when we can feel another's pain as if it were our own, will peace and justice be possible on this planet.
I will do my best to spread your video and it's powerful message.
Interesting, make more and better videos in the future, and don't concern yourself over idiot comments, from "some" Americans who don't know the value of any life human or animal, esp. when their own people are suffering after katrina, and now the oil spill, tsk, tsk. PS the guy needed a tie with the suit. the girl had the right look. Do more!
very artful. a thought provoking wake up call to those of us who live on the other side of the world and haven't been paying attention. Good job Gene.
You could have done better. Doesn't really show the effects of the oil and it doesn't help to have birds flying happily around in the background. Have her grab something to eat with it covered with oil have her trying to do something humans do but is prevented from doing it because of oil. A very weak video. Seems to have been made just go Gene could say he made something. No heart in this at all
@ShadenGheist Yes, what's the matter with the fish and wildlife being in coporate owned waters. Clearly, fish are "libtards". We're here to serve the top 1% wealthiest elite just as Limbaugh, Palin, and the FIXED Network demand.
The level of moral bankruptcy and breath-taking stupidity of rightwingers knows no bounds.
No, "Fish and Wildlife" aren't Libtards, (BTW, Fish ARE Wildlife, you 'Tard) just folks like you that repeat the same action over and over, hoping each time for a different result, but each time getting the same result... Failure.
It's because of Tards like you that the Gulf is a mess. If this same exact blowout had happened in 100 feet of water, El Presidente' Nobambi wouldn't have had to fly Air Force One down to the Gulf for a photo op, it would have been capped within days.
This moved me to tears...and when it is our children who do this because we cannot help them, then maybe...just maybe, we will understand our impact is irreversable.
They are us! In ways we're worse that the birds and animals suffering. The animals get sick and die fairly quick. We are for ever changed because of this. Humans are defined by its cultural practices and when we lose our culture we become less defined. We become that much less human. For temporary comfort we're giving up those things that define us.
Choice is more important than life. If our fathers and grandfathers valued their lives less than they valued their freedom imagine what the world would be like. And human life is more valuable than a few birds. If you want to be nature friendly go live in a wooden cabin and dress your kids in animal hides. Even more so you shouldn't be allowed to have kids since the Earth is already overpopulated. And even then you have to be glad that you have the choice to be pro-nature or pro-life.
This is a bad situation. I just wish people equally as passionate about the 1.5 million babies we kill through abortion every YEAR in this country. If we are going to want people to respect life, then life has to be valuable at every level. Otherwise it;'s simply a matter of politics.

The oil companies would probably care about as little if it was us.
They only have compassion for one thing.
