Rain = Toast cos the vacs were powered by 240v. Electocution was one of the real dangers of this. No help was given by the safety rope. He drops about 2ft near the top as the stretch in the rope is taken up after the gloves come detatched. They were linked to foot straps, using leg muscles for most of the work. If you shift your weight properly from the moving arm to the non-moving arm and use the leg tie to support yourself, I can't see this being challenging. The french dude climbing building with nothing but his two arms are WAAAAAAy more impressive.
