  • Chuck Norris can do this without gloves.

  • Hes a nutcase.

  • @select899 all the best people are. if you're not at least a little nutty then you're just another drone in a human hive :P

  • @Rohan2300 Agree completely!

  • If it wasn't for the safety line he would have been a red spot on the street.

  • OOOOHHHHH!!!! you mean alluminum! haha had to think about that one.

  • @MichaelSimmons8D No, he meant Aluminium.

That's what the guy who discovered it finally called it and what most of the world ended up recognizing.

  • how i make a more portable version:)?

  • Ya, I would pay good money to get some of those

  • Imagine if we lived in a world where governments and companies made massive researchs and projects likes this, than superheroes and supervillains would exist.

  • but will it blend?

  • "Ahnuld" Shwarzeneger could do that without vacuum gloves :D

  • @TehSafst3r and Jackie Chan

  • @saymos72 True, true...

  • I FUCKING LOVE SCIENCE

  • This is extremely inefficient and yet another "because we can" invention.

  • He needed to stop fucking taking shite and get on with it!

  • omg this is amazing! epic win!

  • 0:47 to watch him climb

  • takes the credit for a kids work asshole lol

  • Do that 3 times a week and you'll get well-toned arms like him!

  • Ezio would have done this in a few seconds. Without breaking a sweat. Without vacuum gloves.

  • @2ToTooTwoFish Best comment I've seen all day.

  • y didnt u just use the elevator?

  • GEEZUS, that vein is about to explode...

  • somebody send this to Mythbusters!

  • spider wed starting to develope in his arms soon no need for puny vacuum gloves

  • can anyone tell me what is the name of bang goes the theory's comercial song that is being emittted on discovery science pls reply me!!!!!!

  • test in bank walls

  • wtf with his veins...?

  • @Aleects

His veins are there to transport blood around his body.

  • @v1kk3485 Arteries transport blood around the body, veins just take it back to the heart then to the lungs to get re-oxigenated.

  • @xblEloquent

Well, no need to correct me since his veins are part in the process in which blood circulate ^^

  • @v1kk3485 Touche, just had to put my smart pants on for a second.

  • @xblEloquent No harm done. I learned some new stuff about the bloodflow in the human body, I have to admit. So, thank you sir! :)

  • @Aleects Sure you've learned by now, but search "arnold explains pump", first vid there is a must-see ;)

  • cool

  • vaccum gloves bitches they should make one whr its like an actual glove has alot more friction and sucntion power that would be siiikkkk!

  • Kinda stupid that he's that scared when he is secured by climbing ropes?:s but cool little invention tbh :D

  • haha nice ....

  • oohhh 2:34

  • bullshit

  • Looks more like Doctor Octopus than Spiderman

  • @Sundaloz Yes, because, 2 protruding hoses somehow looks like 8 deadly steel tentacles.

  • @Raaaawrlol 4 tentacles actually

  • @Sundaloz Said the same in the first video...

  • i think they pulled the chain a little

  • if you were to use this as a crime preventer it would not be the best stealth machine...

  • if the do that without a safety line, i ll give them thumbs up

  • why havent we mass produced these yet!?

  • @crapola1234567 Would you really want a bunch of fuckers falling on you when walking downtown?

  • wow he looks slim but his muscles are huge. thanks for the inspiration. gonna go lift weights and maybe go rock climbing.

  • Comment removed

  • Umm... Anyone else reminded of Big Bang Theory?

  • The reassuring music at 1:50 just gave away the ending.

  • How can tell if his gloves are on? They are so quiet...

  • That was awesome

  • I'm not sure blaming grease from traffic pollution is entirely sound when you're right next to a vent… I guess maybe it's an intake, but still, maybe it's the kitchen vent or something.

  • this guy stole the idea from a kid.......

  • @2ndXary No he didn't, that was over 4 months after this. I met him today, he is a really genuine guy who just loves making stuff.

  • why didn't the mythbusters think of doing this?

  • @gurukid72 THEY DID

  • @coffee484 no i mean with the vacuum suction, they also didnt have the strength to go up a wall

  • @gurukid72 this isnt a myth...

  • goood, if he's not afraid of the height, why would he be afraid of rain making him fall when he's attached to a wire? -> NOT fall actually, just losing grip. stfu it's not quantum phyiscs or strain theory.

  • i might be a pessimist, but i say the first fail with the "grease" near the top would have sent him to is death without the safety line, so not successful.

  • >.> I bet the stairs would be faster, more silent, safer, and probly less tiring no?

  • Spidey hands, they suck :-) Just remember you would-be cat burglars that you do need to bring along your own 240 Volt power supply, a massive diesel generator outside the building should do the trick, oh and the noise of the motors plus the massive 'clanking' that you're making might make 'stealth' not an option but a good fun experiment and novel way to get up the building but as he says he'll probably use the stairs in future :-)

  • bear grylls would have done it in 10 seconds..

  • @Designandrew Only if a yummy pigeon was sitting on the top of the building.

  • @Designandrew, be QUIET! australian koalas would freakin´ climb that wall in light speed! GEEZUS!

  • @Designandrew chuck norris doesn't need 10 seconds.

  • um maybe he would be able to beat the weather if he didnt talk to the camera every 2 seconds

  • that looks fun!!

  • @Hiprocksoul1 This is the second highest rated comment?...

  • dude your vanes were bulging out

  • he just did what myth busters failed

  • If it starts raining, I'm TOAST!

All it does would mess up the vacuum cleaner.

You're hanging from a freaking rope and you know it!

  • its freakin doc hoover!!!!

    spiderman 4

  • @MrGunneronline you sire win 1000 internets. congratulations

  • I was there, in the crowd. Pretty cool.

  • "...grease caused by traffic pollution..."

    But of course it was.

  • OK so why didn't they clean the side of the building before he went up?

  • @havok311 - Nobody could get up there. He robbed all the ladders to make parts for the spider hands. hehe.

  • 命綱なかったら一回死んでるでしょ

  • I should really be doing my Physics homework.. instead I'm watching this.

  • @Hatchwork ha....i know what you mean, i should be reading for my literature, although watching BGTH really helped me with my GCSE physics last year...

  • his arms seemed a lot bigger in planet mechanics

  • you'll think that living in london there'll be lots of interesting stuff happening like this that i can go and watch but NO... just the occasinal wierdo on the bus for me, although the odd shout and talking to oneself is on the rise! i need to linger around the bbc when they're filming ;)

  • @stupidintellect90 Nothing to see here in the Islamic Republic of Londistan, move along...

  • WTF?! This is the smallest vacum cleaner in the WORLD!!

  • did he have 1 vacume for each glove

  • i can see why humankind could not advance

  • @valsotto27 wtf are you talking about. weve been advancing non stop since we were created or formed

  • @TheWebcamcomedy not enough 2 another type of lvl of civilization, religion is the biggest factor for humanity for not reaching it, (lvls of michio kaku's description of levels of civilizations) think about it, why is it "not" right to do cloning humans? where did the morality came from to prevent it?if only there would be a mass media production to promote the bad sides of a bible, you can observe how the religious representatives react to reason, and how they reply in an argument of ignorance

  • Rain = Toast cos the vacs were powered by 240v. Electocution was one of the real dangers of this. No help was given by the safety rope. He drops about 2ft near the top as the stretch in the rope is taken up after the gloves come detatched. They were linked to foot straps, using leg muscles for most of the work. They work on many surfaces, including brick and concrete, owing to the flexible and spongy rubber seal. 2 vacs, one for each glove. Simple valves to release the partial vacuum created.

  • spiderman turns vacuum salesman (or should that be the other way round?)

  • Go man GO!

  • Aloooooominiiuuum

  • No No No he failed we saw it I want my money back. jk cool vid.

  • jeez, lok at his arm just as he gets up, thats muscles for ya :P

  • A little too much 'safety assistance' on that rope :S

  • @ut2k4wikichici Please go ahead and do it without a safety rope. I would love too see you hit the ground with a giant SPLAT!!!

  • spiderman did it better lol

  • @Hiprocksoul1 lmao what i meant was crazyass muscles XD

  • he got a freaking rope connected to him, it can't be that hard knowing you won't die no matter what...

If you shift your weight properly from the moving arm to the non-moving arm and use the leg tie to support yourself, I can't see this being challenging. The french dude climbing building with nothing but his two arms are WAAAAAAy more impressive.

  • hmm, he had to use the wall to climb the last few tiles because the pads wouldn't stick. obviously a climber because it looked like he 'jammed in the crack between two tiles. well done

  • 'I'm properly scared' he says with a crap load of safety equipment attached to himself

  • These crazy brits =D

  • Maybe interesting for middle some outsiders :) Let him climb the rock with this thing. Or the walls of medieval castles :)

  • this is cool

  • @profilescythe the rope is slack the whole time he's actually climbing. pay attention.

  • @profilescythe search for top-rope climbing.. he's not helped by the rope

  • He should build a jetpack now, lol

  • brave as a Lion that man

  • he fell! the security thingy kept him in position and he placed again the paddles on the wall.

  • Truly .... Amazing...

  • "if it starts raining, im toast."

mate- it's called a harness. you want to impress the nation? take it off and show your stupidity :)

  • So at 1:40 he comments on the weather.

He's climbing a metallic building with some metallic equipment on him, and he remarks that its water that is the true threat to the mission.

Either that's some dramatic embellishment and there was no storm,or British lightning has different rules from American lightning.

  • Water would screw with his grip on the building.

  • @nachogod british lightning is to weak to hurt......

  • Now thats cool :D

  • You seem to be confused: doing it without a line would be the stupid thing.

  • Straight up? I don't think so. Even climbing a ladder over 100ft straight-up is tiring. Imagine doing it with several pounds on your back, and you're relying alot on your hands+arms to do the work.

Alas, a fricken cool invention. I want one!

  • @Rusvi1 Yes anyone can do it, that's not the point of the video. the point is that a simple vacuum cleaner can produce enough suction to be modified into a climbing device. If that does not interest you, why watch the video?

  • @Rusvi1

    No guts, no glory man!

  • awesome!

  • ....crazy ass muscles

  • nerd muscles

    does not compute

  • @csidaznigga would be the same as rock climbing, he isnt using his legs enough

  • @csidaznigga The Key:The legs

    HOW?

Well, if you don`t know people have strong leg muscles when the force of gravity is pulling them down....

  • What's the challenge exactly? He's tied into a rope so if he falls (like he does at 2.34) he's just as safe as a flying pig!

  • true

  • Во придурок ))ыы

  • Cool idea. Now he must create some kind of batmobil)

  • Maybe if you use a sun batteries u won't need a wires

  • Grappling hook > Vacuum pads.

Seriously though. I have to give props for figuring it all out. It needs work but maybe someday it will be something usable.

  • Nice! And Haters, please gtfo!

  • the problem is that you need a power cable for the vacuum cleaner.

  • that's nothing, I wanna see somebody walk on the water

  • 2:33min Homem aranha Fail! aoiueaoiueaoueoauea TEEENSO!

  • @2:35 he failed! The french Alain Robert free climbing is much more entertaining that this brit childish climber.

  • 2:35 hahah Ah ahh uhhh

  • yeah that was funny but you're not supposed to laugh.

  • What a dramatic cunt.

Like he was in any real danger.

  • I'd like to see you do that. You'd probably piss yourself halfway up.

  • I also think if he had maybe another one of those suction pads on each of his leg, between his knee and his foot it would reduce the weight put on his arms, and be easier.

  • But if he used those pads on the feet then he would have to add weight in the form of two more vacuum cleaners on his back

  • That's true I didn't take that into consideration, it would probably be harder then. If he could just have a vacuum with that much power, and less weight he could go on longer.

  • YES! Real life Ninja's just one more step away.

  • This is too freakin' cool.

  • mejicolindoyquerido I'm not waiting the camera to show how brave I am and talk like a retarded nerd. All I want to say ,either in front of the PC or not, I say straight.Don't judge someone you see to write for your friends or your family like that. You don't know me and as much as you want to meet me it will never happen cause I don't want to climb any building with the help of a vacum cleaner

  • youre right! commenting online (not in any way near his attention span) and not doing something inventive with yourself is much braver! Go Jimdominic! This computer screen takes strength to stare at!

  • If it wasn't for the safety rope, he'd be dead now.

If you watch at 2:33, both pads slip off the wall and only the safety rope saves him from certain death.

  • "if you watch closely"? uh...they're not hiding that fact, in fact they replayed that lil bit. wiseass.

  • Did I use the word "closely"? Read it again.

  • Had to take a 2nd look at the design, the use of foot straps was ingenius, it let the whole weight hang of the foot instead of the hands.
