i got the opi shatterm the navy and the white one... but it does not shatter, or it only shatters vertically... unlike the crackle from china glaze, i found it to crack more.. Is there a certain way or a certain thickness in applying the coats of the shatter...

I decided to try this stuff out. It is neat. I notice that everyone that I've seen using it applies it with a vertical stroke to their nails, so I decided to try other directions like horizontal, diagonal, etc. I'm even thinking of hatching two colors over each other to see how that would turn out. Another neat trick is to dab it on in dots close together across your whole nail. This will give it a more random looking pattern.

@madigirly321 I had that problem the first time I used it - then I discovered the problem: you HAVE to put nail polish on underneath, even if it's just a clear coat. It doesn't work if you put it straight to your nail... is that what you're doing?

One thing I will say is you definitely only need one coat of black shatter!! If you do two coats, it looks like leather and defeats the whole purpose =P

I love these colors! I have the Teenage Dream and the OPI black shatter too and they are awesome! Too bad that they are sold out nearly everywhere because of how popular it is. The black shatter is obviously the most popular out of all of them though. To get mine it was at a beauty salon and it was the last one too! :)

I went to the beauty supply store today and I asked for shatter polish and they were sold out so they took my name and number so they could call me when they got more and then I decided to just get more polish since I was there and then as I was about to leave the store the lady yelled " wait don't leave!!" and it turns out the boss had just brought in s few boxes of the shatter polish and I got super lucky bcuz I left the store with what I wanted!!!
