Young betrays an arrogance that one often sees in elected officials who let power go to their heads. He does not deserve to be a congressman. Brinkley could have handled it better though. Such is the incivility in our current political discourse.

@bbonar1 I think when someone turns around and says "I'll call you whatever I want", the question of civility is already out the window. Young was pushing around his authority, and if he expected civility after that then he is truly unhinged.

OK let me get this straight. Congresspersons can say anything and citizens testifying can say what congresspersons say they can say....Brinkley was only saying what we all wish we could: "I pay your salary!" At least he got to say it face to face!!!
