if your gonna half ass it like that why don't you just free hand it. i would suggest saving yourself even more money and not painting the black so heavy especially when your gonna paint yellow and red over it. also maybe making your vitals smaller. good idea tho.
as far as a lead or cast round in your ak the only thing that would present a problem is bolt cyce the load has to have enough ummmp to cycle the bolt it is possible... lee sells a mold designed for the 7.62x39 its also at midway check it out....you have anymore qeustion s about reloading checkout ammosmith com the guys there are real helpful
@dills2403 Haha! Thanks. :D I'm a cheap-o, if I can make something cheaper myself I'll do it. I was looking into a reloading kit, but the presses and stuff seem kind of expensive to get started.
@naughtyfeline lee kits are around the hundred dollar range with no dies or powder....just look at your local gunstore and see how avalible primers are thats the hardest componet to get.... search midwayusa comfor some reloading equipment....yes the kits are pricey but they pay for them selves in no time... not to mention the better loads you get...some thing to think about....
@dills2403 I'm always happy to take advice from you dude, I've been subscribed to you for quite a while now. I'm definetly going to look into it in a couple of months. (Got to buy new tires for my car with my spending cash right now. Ugh!) Can you fire non-jacketed lead bullets through an assault rifle? I have an AK-47, all the ammo I use is jacketed. Would a pure lead round be OK?
@naughtyfeline pure lead is not recomended for casting unless its for black powder.... i use wheel weights melted down and cleaned then cast into ingots... thats my alloy of choice..(take your weights off your tires lol... thell add new ones when they install your tires...)also ask the tire store if they would sell you a bucket of old tire weights..one of my subs has a few vvideos on this method and the steps you have to take in order to smelt them and clean um/...
Is that where my heart is?

@dills2403 Interesting. So that's not lead you're shooting? What sort of material is the wheel weight?
