Ok your son is soo intelligent and I was admiring that up until the end and then the water works started. You have awesome kids. Both of them. And the last picture is precious
Your son is very sweet and understanding, I think the reason your daughter was less accepting at first was because she was afraid of losing her mommy. What she's coming to learn is she's not losing you as a person, you'll always be there for her no matter what.
You see how strong and deep that love really is? Your kids especially, will love you no matter what. It's one of the reasons that I wanted to have chidren before I ever did. I love them and I love that they love me. You have every reason to be proud. You are obviously a loving parent for them to love you back the way they do.
Wow you must have been doing an incredible job raising your kids and they sound like incredible people! Thank you so much for sharing these personal experiences. My boyfriend & I recently discussed wanting to adopt at some point down the road (several years from now) and I worry about explaining our genders to our kid. We are both very open about being trans and wouldn't want to hide that. I imagine it will be complicated and will involve a lot of prep & therapy (on my part LOL).
"on my part" lol! I think adopting would be awesome. What a lucky kid! Thank you for all of your kind words it's nice to hear. It's helps to drown out the fear in the back of my head that I am somehow screwing them up. But that is more and more apparently not the case. Thanks -Clay
That is EXACTLY what made me to finally take the step to physically transition. After forever of not wanting to do it because of them. I finally realized I had to do it for them.
Your voice sounds like Trunks from Dragonball Z.
And that's a very good thing! 8D

I think teaching them to be honest & true to themselves no matter what the cost is a gift that far too few parents give their children.

That is seriously sweet! I'm glad you kids are taking this so well.
I came out to my step daughter a few months ago, granted she's 18, but she thought it over for a minute and said "Yeah, I kinda figured!"
Kids are amazing sometimes! :-D
