  • Your voice sounds like Trunks from Dragonball Z.

    And that's a very good thing! 8D

  • I know this video is old but you've done a good job as a parent. Your son is very loving. Thanks for sharing your story!

  • This is really amazing. Love the pictures and the honesty.

  • WOW Clay - amaizing conversations with both kids - maybe your son, like me, doesnt see gender... that makes the understanding more of a challenge

    thanks for putting these together

  • Ok your son is soo intelligent and I was admiring that up until the end and then the water works started. You have awesome kids. Both of them. And the last picture is precious

  • Your son is very sweet and understanding, I think the reason your daughter was less accepting at first was because she was afraid of losing her mommy. What she's coming to learn is she's not losing you as a person, you'll always be there for her no matter what.

  • @TheGeorgeBerger I agree %100

  • You see how strong and deep that love really is? Your kids especially, will love you no matter what. It's one of the reasons that I wanted to have chidren before I ever did. I love them and I love that they love me. You have every reason to be proud. You are obviously a loving parent for them to love you back the way they do.

  • Wow you must have been doing an incredible job raising your kids and they sound like incredible people! Thank you so much for sharing these personal experiences. My boyfriend & I recently discussed wanting to adopt at some point down the road (several years from now) and I worry about explaining our genders to our kid. We are both very open about being trans and wouldn't want to hide that. I imagine it will be complicated and will involve a lot of prep & therapy (on my part LOL).

  • "on my part" lol! I think adopting would be awesome. What a lucky kid! Thank you for all of your kind words it's nice to hear. It's helps to drown out the fear in the back of my head that I am somehow screwing them up. But that is more and more apparently not the case. Thanks -Clay

  • I think teaching them to be honest & true to themselves no matter what the cost is a gift that far too few parents give their children.

  • That is EXACTLY what made me to finally take the step to physically transition. After forever of not wanting to do it because of them. I finally realized I had to do it for them.

  • thats really cool..your kids seem very smart and understanding..you seem like you make a pretty awesome dad too

  • That is seriously sweet! I'm glad you kids are taking this so well.

I came out to my step daughter a few months ago, granted she's 18, but she thought it over for a minute and said "Yeah, I kinda figured!"

    Kids are amazing sometimes! :-D

  • That's cool!

  • This is a beautiful video. Thank you SO much for sharing this. xoxo
