  • i find it difficult to masturbate when they move around to much

  • holy crap thats a big group compared to where i work

  • ihave 800 acres

  • some urban kids think they invented rap, the rural hick auctioneers had been doing stuff like that, & at a far higher level, for many years.

what a nice, clean, well kept sales ring! (some of the places I have seen were not very pleasant)

  • I can understand the auctioneer perfectly well until the bidding starts...and then I get the summary just fine, but I don't have a clue what he's saying when the bidding starts. I go to a live cattle auction in Ireland when I visit there just out of interest and it's exactly the same. Good job I'm not buying any cattle!

  • lol that is a lot like the auction in Nampa Idaho today my dad bought 5 steers

  • if i wanted to start a small farm , how many should i buy. and where do i learn to take care of them

  • It depends on how much land you have, what part of the country you are in, and what you are trying to accomplish.

  • 1 cow per acre. possibly 2 on good pasture. if you don't know much about cattle, get involved with your local 4H Club to get the feel of things. i grew up with cattle, and it's in my blood. some can be nice as can be, some can be naturally dangerous, and some like to tear up your fences and get out. sometimes easy to round up and get back in while you fix the fence, sometimes wild as hell, and you have to chase them. i love em, but they're not for everybody.

  • @comebigarestayathome before you start a small farm get some experience by getting a job on a farm or talk to farmers that you know and do TONS of reaserach

  • @comebigarestayathome all depends on how deep your pockets are friend

  • @comebigarestayathome I have a small farm but what would you like to learn about I can help I have chickens, goats, and ducks. You should get a few of each animal you want but it depends on how much space you have available for the animals.

  • There fucking cheap!

  • that price is per hundred lbs. per calf.

  • How do those cowboys place their bets?

  • By either raising his hand and or bidding with his head

  • So every time a cowboy does that, the bid goes up by a certain amount?

  • Yep Every time one of the buyers nods his head or raises his hand and the auctioneer goes up by certain amount In this case the auctioneer is going up by a quarter every time someone bids

  • were is that auction cows

  • have you guys bean to woodvill

  • i want one of em as a pet - they're cute.

  • o cool this is my home town auction ive bought and sold hundreds of cattle here

  • Were is this and wuo is the auctioneer?

  • Ogallala Livestock and Dan Clark is the auctioneer

  • Who is the auctioneer?

  • Comment removed

  • Its in toppenish wa and i want to say the auctioneers name is john.

  • I work at the Farmer's Livestock Auction in North Dakota. I carry a long stick -- kinda want to put a flag on it ....

  • So they will weigh that whole heard of cattle and sell them at 95.5 cents peer pound?

  • Yes.

  • Haha i think you 'DAKOTAROUGHNECK' will find that your 'THE DUMB ASS'!!! So before you start slating Veggies (like myself) make sure you use the correct spelling...'Vegetarian'!!!

  • You misspelled "you're". Also, the word "I" should be capitalized, and "ha ha" is generally considered to be 2 words, not one.

  • @hitchhikersguide2 it's called "text/comment" not an essay assignment from your language arts teacher

  • @LilJoysFarm Yes, but when someone else leaves a comment to specifically complain about someone else misspelling something, they should at least be able to avoid misspellings themselves. That is what I was responding to.

  • Why didn't that auctioneer make top 10? I thought he did a whale of a job in MO. Was my choice for top 10.

  • byron he didnt make the top 10 because in the regionals they only have top 8

  • That's why I said top 10 at the finals, in MO

  • I think they went for 5.50 but I think that is per hundred weight. Am I wrong farm guys and gals?

  • It was $95.50 per hundred weight ($95.50 per hundred pounds, or just under a dollar per pound).

  • Ok help me out please... how much did they sell for, was it $950?

  • they went for 95.5 conts per pound

  • thank u...shit if i get hit when im sorting 500feeder calves then i rage..but other wise im pretty good

  • the whipping doesnt even hurt them

  • thank you hitchhikersguide2, you just summed it up. so if you think that is inhumane, your sure as hell aren't knowledgably in the area of livestock.

  • its not inhumane. that tap on them feels like a pinch to them. it doesn't hurt them.

  • thats not a tap.... Thats a hard smack. It is inhumane. give me that stick and let me hit you that hard with it and then you tell me it feels like a pinch.

  • You are making the common mistake of equating animals with people. Sure, if I hit you, it would hurt. Does that automatically mean it would feel the same to, say, a turtle? Or a tree?

It does NOT hurt the cattle, for several reasons.

One, the cattle are about 5 times bigger than you are. So anything you would feel, imagine 1/5 of that.

  • Two, the cattle are covered with an inch of thick fur. So, imagine me hitting you through a thick sweatshirt or blanket. You don't feel it nearly as much.

Three, catlle are thick-skinned, and I don't mean that in an emotional sense. They literally have thick skin, many times thicker than yours. Ever heard of leather?

  • And four, cattle are just naturally tougher than you. They live outside, all the time, and have to withstand all the elements. They have a high tolerance/low sensitivity to pain.

So, the ringmen are hitting them that hard (and it's not really that hard--look closer) because anything lighter and the cattle would not feel anything at all.

  • well excuse me, but i've been around livestock ALL my life, and it doesnt hurt them.

  • InHUMANe.. haha their animals not humans. U dumb ass. Its the only way you get them to move. U must be a vegitarian.

  • they arnt hitting htem for fun..it is just to get them going so they down stand around..i know cause im a ringman at livestock auction in washitnon

  • Keep them going? Where the hell are they susposed to go?

  • they have to go back out in to the pens

  • Why the heck are they whipping them??? I want a cow!!!!

  • Yeah...kinda cruel.
