@6StringAxeMoFo wow... now that's crazy. yeah, this is a killer setup. love the ultra too and don't do much distortion thru the clean side but i love the low end fatness on the clean channel. thanks for stoppin by dude!
@Jammydodger58 they are very different. the supreme has 57 pups, ebony fingerboard, 24 frets, nice flame top. all sg's are cool but the supreme is a shredder sg. good luck finding what ya want dude!
@petrucciansky Really? So the supremes were designed for shredding for real? I didn't know that. What other characteristics make it ideal for shredding as opposed to a 61 reissue, for example? I used to have as black supreme, but I ended up trading it a few years ago for a white '79 Rickenbacker 4001 bass. I let the supreme go because over time I noticed the guitar was real picky about its setup. I also realized I didnt like the 24 frets. They were too small past the 12th fret
@petrucciansky I used to own one and traded it off because over time I didn't like the way it played. I also realized what a pain in the ass the two additional frets added to the mix. I guess I was pretty much wanting to know if anyone else who owned one of these ever had setup problems like mine did. It always seemed that I'd get fret buzz on the B string around the 2nd fret and my low E sounded flat all the time. It didn't have that sharp attack like it should have.
@1325ACO i haven't had any issues with mine. makes me wonder if your neck had a slight twist in it or fret that needed hammered a bit. not seen any issues with it yet and had it a while now.
sorry im kinda a noob but whats a high gain? and is this guitar easy to do hammer ons and pinch harmonics and is it good for playing songs from iron maiden? thanks
No problem. Great chops by the way. I know from experience. Once you start to get those ring tones in your ears like someone flipped a switch in your head that's a sign of tinnitus. The highs are the first thing to go. But there's nothing you can really do about it if your a rocker because it just doesn't sound good unless you turn that mother fucker up. Just don't over do it all the time.
i hear ya dude. i've been playing for a while and never had a problem. but had some nerve damage to my left ear caused by an insulin reaction about 12 years ago and lost most of my hearing in that ear over my stupid diabetic desease.
For the Ballbreaker world tour AC/DC purchased 12 1959SLPs (100 Watt re-issues) and 24 1960BV cabinets complete with vintage grille cloth. Angus also purchased 2 2100SL-X heads for good measure.
While on stage Angus and Malcolm plug into 4 1959SLPs each with each head driving 2 cabinets. Angus still uses his favourite studio amp an ancient JTM45 on the road too. This ancient beauty powers a single Marshall 4x12 cab which is located in an isolation box under the stage for mic'ing purposes
I like your guitar riffs. Sounds like post - hardcore/hardcore . i plays the guitar in a band , too. So we like to use the same sound like yours and the same playing of the accords.
i did the apartment thing last year and i got so tired of headphones that i went out and got me a vox ad30vt and had something to jam with that i could have at a low volume. it was well worth it. now i am back in a house working on my studio/jam room!
well, you'll go far with guitar talent, you're already there!
quick question, although i wouldn't assume they're the best guitars available by any means, have you ever had the chance to play a fender jag-stang? i'm big into the kurt cobain thing and i've wanted to test one for a while.
Jag-Stangs are really awesome guitars. It's all about preference though. I'm not really sure of a major dealer that really sells them, but they have a nice sound and a nice feel. They may not be as high in value as an SG supreme, but a Jag-Stang is more than enough of what you need to get a great sound.
Nice sound, I do enjoy it alot. I just bought a Godin Freeway with a Vyper Amp and I am just trying to learn on my own. But i definetly like your sound.
but its not on the gibson website i searched for sg and discontinued model i clock on a link to gibson sg supreme and there was nothing just the gibson website you r lucky to have this guitar its like it doesnt even exist
I found an SG Supreme in Fireburst on eBay that's going for $1,850 (or best offer) and one on the Premier Guitar website going for $1,350. Are both of these good deals?
i think it's a great guitar. i never like paying the gibson prices though. i got this one used and still spent some $ on it. but i do think it was worth it.
hey manits jordan from agf . i just bought a set of gfs fat pat boutiques and its been past ten days and i been tryin to get the feel of them but man im just gonna save up for some alnico II. do you know anybody who would like to buy them?
@6StringAxeMoFo wow... now that's crazy. yeah, this is a killer setup. love the ultra too and don't do much distortion thru the clean side but i love the low end fatness on the clean channel. thanks for stoppin by dude!

@1325ACO mainly the slim taper neck with ebony. this thing plays like butter. and the 24 frets lets you scream the high notes.

Every musician will have some sort of ear damage but try to at least save some of your ears and not stand directly in front of the amp.
