  • wow so beautiful im gunna go to sam ash downtown near times square, check out beautful guitar!

  • Great guitar.

  • how is the string action? I would like to buy it, but I have been used to really low string actions.

  • @wannatroll you can lower the action to a buttery feel so that's not a problem..cheers jarvis

  • @guitarsaddle okay... question is: if you try to fit a coin between the 5th fret and the low E string, does the string move?

thanks a lot for the reply

    mike

  • @wannatroll the guitar is no longer with me so i cant do that experiment

  • If only the design was better, i would get it..

Just not feeling the whole black color thing.

great sound tho. Just not the color

  • @phenochio you could always but the solid sitka spruce version..

  • Firstly, THANK YOU so much for the review. So, I'm deciding between this one and the Art and Lutherie Ami Cedar Black. My situation is that I only play with extra-light strings. I play with a pick and mostly use my guitar for strumming and accompanying my voice on songs I write. I have a softer voice though. I know you mentioned in your video that the lighter strings made it sound like a toy guitar. Can you describe this more? Is there any way to make the lighter strings work? Please help =)

  • @TheLethalLex You can still use Light Gauge strings but keep the saddle action high..

  • @guitarsaddle Thank you for the help!

  • @TheLethalLex I have an Art and Lutherie I bought a few years ago and love it.

  • @neuregel Thanks for letting me know =) I think I've actually decided to get the Art and Lutherie.

  • @TheLethalLex That is great...super...cheers Jarvis

  • This or Baby Taylor? Please help!

  • @FilmingIsMyLife taylor

  • are you using the original strings as well? you may have said but i may have missed it.

  • @ROYYYBERT Martin Lifespan Coated PB 13-56 mediums on this Little Martin

  • haha the transition from talking to singing was amazing! great demo btw.

  • Do you find replacing the saddle with the bone one makes a noticeable difference? The guitar sounds great in this video, but the one I tried at the store had a very small toy guitar-like sound and didn't project very well ?

  • @d0ngbak You can hear the improvement in the tone on this video...plus a proper setup and medium gauge strings are all the contributing factor

  • £329 on navada.com

  • which would you choose...little martin or taylor mini? :)

  • @berloonable The GS MINI is good ..and i love the GS mini..cheers jarvis

  • I have been looking for a nice little guitar, and found your review. watched it and really enjoyed your detailed and to the point style, I then watched a few more of your reviews and enjoyed them as well.

    Very well done sir.

oh yeah, neat little guitar too.

  • sounds so good

  • Is the neck full sized?

  • You sound LIKE-A-SOMEBOOOOOOOOOOOO-DAY!!!!

  • Thank You! Im definitely interested in it now :)

  • how much does this cost??

  • What is a good pickguard for this guitar? Why don't they come standard? Can you use a kapo on a small guitar like this? Thanks.

  • @gumdropmom you can fit almost any pickguard you want

  • Just got this tonight, was not sure if I was going to keep it but for the price, and your review ill keep it. Thanks so much!!!

  • Excuse me, one question, this little martin is american made?

  • @Carosello1978 Its made in mexico..

  • Great review. I've been looking around for something to learn on and dreadnoughts are too big and brassy for me. This is the right size and sound. Thanks Jarvis! Keep playing and reviewing please, you're excellent. =)

  • Will probably get this as my main guitar, the GS Mini is good but is very dissapointing and does not deserve the name "Taylor."

  • Gs Mini probably kills that thing.

  • nice one - and nice to hear the van morrison song there towards the end :)

  • there needs to be more reviews like this. well done review

  • 2:06 made me feel funny.

  • I purchased my Little Martin LX Black back in 2007. Love the guitar! I'm now looking at mounting a K&K pickup system in the guitar so I can use it plugged in when needed.

    Great Review, THANKS...

  • May I know how much did you buy the guitar and where do you buy it?

  • @Tennsen I bought it thru the Singapore distrubutor City Music..you can check out their website..

  • I'm about to get the little martin black and trick it out with icoustic speaker:I'm excited. I have not had a guitar in many years

  • Great review! Both informative and entertaining!

  • Tus uh tus...tus.. Uh, tus... NUTS!!!

  • nice review mate.. thanks a lot :)

  • there has been one of these at the guitar shop calling out to me for a few months and now finally i have the cash to get it! so happy, its a blessing. great review. thumbs up g

  • Im getting a Martin CXE Would you be able to do a review on it? :Das your review on this is awesome. Im a songwriter, so im hoping that the CXE is as warm sounding as the Little Martin.

  • By the way, what are the songs that you're playing in this? I feel like I recognize them but can't figure it out(Excellent playing btw)...

  • Excellent review! I'm sold.

  • Owned a baby taylor and now this one... the Taylor was WAY brighter, thus loud, the strings SANG, so you couldn't strum hard. I strum hard, so I like this one... because its more muted... i almost returned this blackie cuase i thought it was too muted, but as i played it it loosened up and i love it... Also, my taylor required constant adjustment to stay in tune, this blackie i haven't touched the pegs yet from the store, its perfectly in tune

  • Hey man, great review!

How would you compare this one to a Baby Taylor?

  • @ZildjianGretsch the Baby Taylor is thinner in tone but with more punch..have a look at my Baby Taylor review and you can compare both

  • hey jarvis how much does this retail ? dont see the black ones anywhere

  • @Eatmeraw You can buy it from City Music In Singapore...all the black ones sell fast so ask them if you want one..

  • best review of this guitar! thanks!

  • Thanks for this review! Been looking for a black matte guitar and i can't decide between a martin 000cxe or this black little martin. Which do you think would be a better choice?

  • @firefelis Buy the one that speaks to you..its that easy..the one you love..

  • @guitarsaddle thanks for the advice!:) oh is this black little martin sold anywhere in Singapore?

  • @firefelis yes in some music instrument store.

  • fantastic review!

  • Is this the same as the LXM?

  • your really fun to watch man! nice job.!

  • Thanks, mate -- ordered my Little Martin Black this past weekend and have been passing the time looking for YouTube videos featuring it. Your review was perfect!

  • Nice review! Do you think the martin lxk2 would sound similar to this guitar? They're both little guitars along the same price range, just wondering if you've played that guitar?

  • @d0ngbak they sound very similar. All you need to do ensure that the neck is straight and fit mediums on it which is what Martin Guitars recommends

  • @d0ngbak its about the same..in sound..price too
