I think being tripped for mistiming an air hado is fair, because if you time it right you can do all sorts of shenanigans! The air hado is actually really powerful if you use it correctly, especially ex air hado. Check out Mamochi v Daigo for a good example of how to use air hado properly.

I feel Seth should be banned on the grounds that he is a secret/ unlockable character. (yes I know so is alot of them, but you don't have to beat it with EVERYONE to get them) He's also a console exclusive (though I think the arcade roster is FAR too small and seriously WEAK) Also he's a boss character and therefore designed to be overpowered. Gill is banned, why not Seth... set aside the short bar and low health.. in the hands of a pro it won't matter.

His moves are weak, he has little life, you have to play very carefully with him since one combo practically eats your entirely lifebar.
Sure he's got the moves of others, but in that combination of moves you don't play him at all like the character you got them off. In that sense he's a completely unique character with large potential but also a ridiculous downside.
Were they to ban anyone I would say start with Sagat as he's obviously the best character in the game.

Akuma is banned in ST not because he's a boss character, but because he's entirely broken in that game. For Gill I have no idea, I assume his moveset is ridiculous even though I've heard he has low life.
Banning a character just because they're the boss character is ridiculous when they don't break the game. After that comes banning characters that are too strong, characters you don't like ... it doesn't end. He's not getting an exception, he's just not as broken as the other two.
And if they allow Seth then why not everyone else? He appears to have a variably long list of combo abilities as well as maannny pluses from other characters. I mean a shoryuken is murder enough, but Dhalsim's arms and a teleport even faster than Dhalsim's? With the right hands you could very easily play Seth like Dhalsim with retaliation hits after dodging with a teleport, but with Seth's speed and higher combos being able to have a 100+% higher success rate than Dhalsim's....broken.
Yeah, he's good, but not as good as the others. Sure his combos can be long, but the damage they do is utterly miniscule.
The problem with him is that you make a couple mistakes and you've lost the round against most people. Combined with the fact that most of the people that kill you in a couple mistakes also have the highest life in the game makes for a loooong fight with a lot of room for error.

I never played online street fighter until today. My father was a tourney champ back then in street fighter 2 days and all he does is play ken/guile. I play Sagat and i went into a ranked playlist today and went 17-2. The 2 losses were one, i was Zangief against a non stop fireball akuma and the other was versus a pro rufus. I dont spam fireballs, i hate when people do that. People are surprised when they face me when im Sagat. I do agree though, i fought atleast 11 Akumas, 2 kens and 1 ryu..
He wasn't using the Boss form of Seth, he was using the weakened playable form of Seth. If you hadn't noticed he has no life and no damage so anyone using Seth is at a pretty big disadvantage.
the only reason hes band is cause his teleport is mega broken. Theres almost no recovery time on it so you can escape basicly any situation using it. Characters like Akuma and Bison have a long cooldown on there teleport so you can punish if you guess a teleport.
Probably cost the other guy his concentration. I'd have been pissed.
They seem to always do that to the Seth players in America. It's not like he's easy to use. Sure his combo's are pretty safe but no pro has a hard time pulling off any combo's so as far as effort into reward goes Seth doesn't pay off.
Not to mention the fact he's made of glass and has to treat practically every single character the same as a normal character treats Zangief. Eat one ultra and you die, simple as.
That's a stupid reason. Maybe Ken shouldn't be in tournaments cause he basically has Ryu's moves, right? They all play differently, and Seth takes by far the most damage in the game for a reason.
i think seth is a broken char, i dunno if they ban him in evo. In japan i heard they ban him, i saw videos of him in japan where japanese players use him sick and show why he should be banned.

His moves are weak, he has little life, you have to play very carefully with him since one combo practically eats your entirely lifebar.
Sure he's got the moves of others, but in that combination of moves you don't play him at all like the character you got them off. In that sense he's a completely unique character with large potential but also a ridiculous downside.
Were they to ban anyone I would say start with Sagat as he's obviously the best character in the game.

Akuma is banned in ST not because he's a boss character, but because he's entirely broken in that game. For Gill I have no idea, I assume his moveset is ridiculous even though I've heard he has low life.
Banning a character just because they're the boss character is ridiculous when they don't break the game. After that comes banning characters that are too strong, characters you don't like ... it doesn't end. He's not getting an exception, he's just not as broken as the other two.

And if they allow Seth then why not everyone else? He appears to have a variably long list of combo abilities as well as maannny pluses from other characters. I mean a shoryuken is murder enough, but Dhalsim's arms and a teleport even faster than Dhalsim's? With the right hands you could very easily play Seth like Dhalsim with retaliation hits after dodging with a teleport, but with Seth's speed and higher combos being able to have a 100+% higher success rate than Dhalsim's....broken.

Yeah, he's good, but not as good as the others. Sure his combos can be long, but the damage they do is utterly miniscule.
The problem with him is that you make a couple mistakes and you've lost the round against most people. Combined with the fact that most of the people that kill you in a couple mistakes also have the highest life in the game makes for a loooong fight with a lot of room for error.

I never played online street fighter until today. My father was a tourney champ back then in street fighter 2 days and all he does is play ken/guile. I play Sagat and i went into a ranked playlist today and went 17-2. The 2 losses were one, i was Zangief against a non stop fireball akuma and the other was versus a pro rufus. I dont spam fireballs, i hate when people do that. People are surprised when they face me when im Sagat. I do agree though, i fought atleast 11 Akumas, 2 kens and 1 ryu..

He wasn't using the Boss form of Seth, he was using the weakened playable form of Seth. If you hadn't noticed he has no life and no damage so anyone using Seth is at a pretty big disadvantage.

the only reason hes band is cause his teleport is mega broken. Theres almost no recovery time on it so you can escape basicly any situation using it. Characters like Akuma and Bison have a long cooldown on there teleport so you can punish if you guess a teleport.

They seem to always do that to the Seth players in America. It's not like he's easy to use. Sure his combo's are pretty safe but no pro has a hard time pulling off any combo's so as far as effort into reward goes Seth doesn't pay off.
Not to mention the fact he's made of glass and has to treat practically every single character the same as a normal character treats Zangief. Eat one ultra and you die, simple as.
