  • If you invert the signal to the wire on top it will activate the flip-flop almost instantly.

  • @Chewy20141 I know... that is what just about every commend says lol. Thanks though.

  • The compact flip flop u can invert the input to mak eit react pretty much instant :D

  • as a video response i mean

  • @MrZosiko Sure man. NP

  • hey mckrawll do you mind if i post a redstone thingy that i thought of that could be connected to a flip-flop? i don't know if it's made yet

  • I run a 1.7.3 SMP server and that design works fine for me. to get that one to work on the upward edge you just need to invert the input signal. I have several of those working on my server. So I can say with absolute certainty that 1.8 has nothing to do with whether or not that works.

  • That t flip flop design has always worked for me in SMP since at least 1.7. It would depend on server latency.

  • @salgurdar I'm seeing a lot of people have gotten this one to work but I never could before 1.8. both Minecraftaddict and Sirdava(aka Rolf-david) have videos out with them trying to get that to work in smp and not working.

  • @mcKrawll I'm pretty sure it depends on how decent the server is ie. how much ram it has and whether the memory allocation is fixed or dynamic, possibly what kind of server infrastructure is being used. The biggest issue with redstone on SMP is that it relies on a server side clock. I've been on servers where the piston t flip flop worked fine, but other servers where it didn't work at all, but those servers generally had a lot of issues with redstone.

  • =) it works in 1,7,3 for me... i dunno about before 1.7.3, firs time i tried it on smp was then

  • This design has never worked on my server. =/ Are you using Bukkit?

Oddly, a vital part of my Lights Out game works great on my server, but not my pal's.

  • @RagingPygmy Last time I tested it I was running bukkit but I am running simple server with 1.8

  • Yup, it works on my server =]

  • I've been using this kind of T-Flip flop since the day that 1.8 servers were officially released.. How is this only a new discovery..?

  • @n64billy Keep in mind that was only 2 weeks ago..

  • to fix the delay of the new design.. why dont you just invert the signal before the input?

  • @MegaDeutschbag Don't be a Deutchbag! lol. No that is awesome. I can't believe I didn't think of that. Great Idea man.

  • @mcKrawll i tryed both designs out in my testworld. the thing is:

-the large T-Flip Flop delays the signal by only 1 or 0 ticks depending if you are turning it on or off

-the new one always got a delay of 1 tick + 1 tick of the inverter (if you are using my "fix")

    =the old design is superior

why not make a slightly bigger T-Flip Flop that does not have any delay?

  • @MegaDeutschbag Your right man. I actually already have one now. This is the design I will be using from now on. :)
