I would LOVE to be able to go to the moon. I have thought alot about what it must be like to stand on the surface, gazing up at the blue earth, surrounded by nothing. How do you take that in? How to process an experience of that magnitude? And after you come back, what can you ever do to top that? It is still amazing to me to think that someone actually got to stand on the moon. SOMEBODY ACTUALLY GOT TO DO THAT! INSPIRING!
The computer you are using right now has tremendously more computing power than the computers used in the Apollo CM's. The onboard computer had no keyboard, just a numeric pad and buttons for "noun", "verb" and "proceed"
It's fun being the only county to have landed on the moon. You get to hear all the idiots show up from OTHER countries to say it never happened. comical...
@rfsent5 Don't be so ignorant, people like you were not chosen to go there and you had NO part what so ever in making this happen so don't even try and take credit. It is quite obvious that the Apollo guys were proud that they got to do what they did for the benefit of ALL mankind, and not just the united states. I do agree with your comment about the blind sighted unimaginative idiots who think this was all fake, but your comment towards the rest of the world is ignorant and offensive.
Aldrin said something very interesting: What is man compared to the moon and the stars?
I think that once someone is flying such a mission and looking back on Earth, his/her perspective of themselves and life in general, may change completely!

They faked the moon landings in a studio. Here's a link to some of the evidence.
