It used to be only 19 states had wild hog problems. Now over 40 do. They are so rampant down here in Alabama that the Bankhead National Forest is overrun with them. There is no bag limit on them. They last news I saw on them some genius decided to import Eurasian bore and crossbreed them in. From 8 hogs they created an epidemic across the country. They are about a foot taller at the shoulder on average than most domestic pigs. Don't go after these with a single-shot weapon and no backup gun!
