  • your awsome

  • i spent all day watching your videos

  • great channel

  • I'm new to geoaching (About 55 caches or so) and I appreciate all your help and for feeding my new addiction even when I'm not out caching, and you do all this while being funny! AWESOME!

  • what would happen if you took a old fire hyrdrant and used that as a cache and the fire depertment came and tried to use it??

  • Thanks headhardhat.

  • @Mguidr1 You are most welcome. Thanks for watching...

  • there is no way that even almost looks like a fire hydrant

  • i like how you respond to nearly everybody's comment nobody else on youtube ever does that

  • @jacobcwz Well thank you. I figure if people will take the time to comment on my videos the least I could do is respond to them. It is just as good as an email or comment on my blog.. Thanks for writing in...

  • Why not glue the stoppers in and paint them along with the main part first, unless you are going for the 2 tone look.

  • @jbonnardel Either way works just as good.. Have it your way if you prefer :)

    Thanks for writing in!

  • I'm all for this type of cache. Very cool. But to play devil's advocate, doesn't this break the rules? (Pointy object into ground. )

  • Okay now you made me look it up :)

The rules state: Caches that are buried. If a shovel, trowel or other "pointy" object is used to dig, whether in order to hide or to find the cache, then it is not appropriate.

The stake is simply stuck into the ground to better keep the geocache in place so it is not used to bury or recover the geocache itself and does not apply. Phew you scared me there for a sec ;) Thanks for keeping me on my toes. -HHH

  • Honestly now, is anyone really going to complain? It's not like the ground is being desecrated or vandalized by a simple stake. ... The shovel rule is intended to keep people from burying caches in a way they won't be found, but up to the lid is commonly practiced and permitted for example because as long as a lid shows, it's not entirely buried. And who is to say the hole (or stick you stuck the cache on) wasn't there to begin with as far as needing a pointy object to place it? LOL

  • @xapplimatic Couldn't have put it better myself... Thanks for the comments :)

  • oh wow, I think even I!!! can make this one!! I'm so mechanically challenged, but this one doesn't require tools (I fix everything with duct tape or a glue gun haha) Thanks

  • Hope it turns out well for you.. If I can do it I know that you can ;)

  • A geocache like this can be painted a bunch of different colors or left white. I would suggest since it is only about four inches tall it would work great in between bushes like in a medium by a street or on the outsides of a parking lot. It is one of those type objects that most people will not notice it even if they see it. -HHH

  • Very creative, I really like it. Where would you place something like this?

  • @Dolfan64 behind a building, It works real good if there is other plumbing to blend in with.
