@jvforeverful some very common things to look for when buying a used scooter are how do the brakes feel (how much play is in the lever) are any body panels cracked or not secure, and most important open the engine access under the seat and look @ the Carburator. Is it rusted, discolored, and do the rubber hoses look cracked and dull or smooth and shiny? There are obviously many things to look out for, much like a used car. This will be covered in an upcoming video on "scooter shopping "
I want to but the same scooter used from a local here in town (a person). do you have any tips on things to look out for when buying scooters i really dont know much about them. thanks
@SuburbanMotorSports I have a 2006 Honda Reflex Sport model (yellow), and it will go faster, the fastest it will go right before red line is about 80 MPH. Keep in mind 80MPH is not the scooters top speed.
@SuburbanMotorSports I have a 2007 Reflex Sport, and it's a great scooter. I've had it for over two years, and I ride all around town including on freeways going 70 mph. Very easy to handle, great balance and maneuverabilty, automatic clutch and transmission. I get about 65 miles per gallon and it carries over 3 gals of gas. Tons of fun -- I go riding out on the countryside with some motorcycle riders from work, and I keep up with them just fine.
