Your Thunder/Windmill doesn't seem very... efficient :x, with single charges of Ice Spear; at the cost of some more mp- I don't get hit.. at all O o.. I think it's worth it, but to each their own :P

Hot keys would perfect this strategy. Essentially your using spike damage mixed with pet revolving. Smash Rank 1 does this slightly more efficiently as it 1 hits the target and doesn't consume mana. If your situation looks ugly with multi aggro just play dead which, again, should be hot keyed.

Ah~ You're right. Actually I don't recommend players using this tactic. One of our players introduced this thunder+wm mode a long time ago, then I introduced thunder+charge+wm xD Just for fun.

I don't think many people will follow this mode.

not that sure la~ i'm a old-aged player that is not fond of pets/clothes/color weapons.. etc. only 9 pets till now (including one given by the credit system that i even paid no attention to). since the small keyboard is filled with my pet shortcuts(1~9), i decide never buy any more pet :)

Honestly all this is is you fail Windmilling a few things in Ciar Adv, pet spamming, and occasionally getting owned.

Not even good tactics. All Ciar Adv requires is high ranked WM, and maybe high Range/AR to pick off anything that went into deadly.

Pardon, i have a question. How are you able to cast thunder so many times with it using so little of your MP bar? Are you using mana reduction wand upgrades? I've always wanted to use thunder like that but it always seemed unpractical with my wimpy 140 mana.

It depends on the rank. With higher ranks the time in between is bigger. So at higher ranks its easier to spam :D

Lol rank1 Thunder hits a number of 4-targets on first charge, compared to rank6~2, which hits only 3. Ty for clarifying the rank for WM, btw ken. I honestly hate WM >_> I just IS or Thunder my way thru just about every dungeon now lol

1:19 proof that wm and thunder is not to be used without a pet; you must PAY for nx to have a pet -> everyone is not a free main.

ah~ the fighting at 1:19 is not a typical tactic. it only assumes a "dangerous" situation that you might use wm+thunder to get around. in fact i think it more safe just run away and use the pets to block the enemies.

it seems that you MUST use a pet to save you, otherwise you don't have enough time to cast thunder after windmill? or am i wrong?

not necessarily. pets are called when you are dealing multiple enemies that're all attacking you at the same time. otherwise you can easily kick and thunder them by yourself. windmill is to make sure you kill them in one thunder.

rank 1 windmill :)  actually this is not a regular way for mage, especially with assault. windmill+thunder is okay for fight, assault for escaping.
