There are randoms in the game just in any other game. And yes, there were other birds that I missed. I did not cover birds and/or metal pieces in my walkthrough.

Wasnt the bird on the previous floor where the bay door was? Also when I did this level two big guys showed up after I passed the bay door and into the room to the left. They hit hard but go down easy.
