First not the context. in many translations Heb 1:9 reads “God, your God, anointed you.” This makes it clear that the one addressed in verse eight is not God, but one who worships God and is anointed by him. OK My actual position is in order to be an atheist you have to be able to say God does not exist. To say God does not exist you have to say that you can perceive all reality and have not perceived God. If you cannot say that then you cannot say definitively that God does not exist. You can, like Isaac Asimov, make the assumption and stick with it. But to affirm that God does not exist definitively one must affirm that one can perceive all that exists in stating there is no God.

I was just stating that your comment that the Atheist position stems from "they think they perceive all reality" is silly and you know it is, hopefully. There is no definitive position but mine requires evidence.

OK My actual position is in order to be an atheist you have to be able to say God does not exist. To say God does not exist you have to say that you can perceive all reality and have not perceived God. If you cannot say that then you cannot say definitively that God does not exist. You can, like Isaac Asimov, make the assumption and stick with it. But to affirm that God does not exist definitively one must affirm that one can perceive all that exists in stating there is no God.

According to your "definition" there are not atheists. In reality though the position is God probably doesn't exist for most.
Think of of this way. I don't hold a position. You present the claim the there is a God. In particular the God of the bible. I ask for evidence of this claim...after all, extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. You say this claim has no evidence and it requires faith. I dismiss claim. That is generally the position or at least mine.

I am quite familiar with that position. However, the key issue is: Are there realities in the universe beyond our ability to perceive? (Obviously, I believe yes) An answer to that question does not define faith, it defines who we are as humans. the nature of those realities or lack thereof defines how we live as humans. So the issue goes beyond whether or not God exists and affects every aspect of human life. If God is dead we are gods. Are We?

It is not presumptuous of omniscience to decide that specific things - the bible, and other theistic books - are books of lies, written by men to control other men, or that the Gods of these books are creations of manipulative minds. The faithful of these fanciful books are presumptuous of having a personal relationship with omniscience, which is what the Atheist thinks is foolish and prone to abuses.

This man is trying to intellectualize God instead of intellectualizing evolution. If he did he would find how weak and changing the theory is. Today it is weaker than it ever was according to 21st century data. The Altenberg 16 summit came as a result of evolutionary scientist realizing the futility of natural selection being sufficient to account for life. This man has put faith in a synthesis that is headed out the door. He has substituted Gods words for an obsolete paradigm.

yes, i agree fully with what father carr said. God is someone who we cannot fully understand or seek by means of the world, for eg using science. Faith in the bible is believing smth we do not see and feeling certain of it. In proverbs, wisdom comes to those who fear God, Jesus said seek and you will find, knock and you will receive. God is love the greatest love of all, the love that surpasses all iniquity to convict sinners to repentance, i was one of them,a homosexual, but i was reborn!!

because some priests doesn't obey fully and listen to Jesus, they lean on their own understanding, they are lacking in faith, enlightenment doesnt comes to those who are lazy towards seeking God's word. He is well learned and he seeked much the kingdom of God. but God's kingdom must comes first.

If JESUS is the EXpress image of the INVISIBLE GOD.... what invisible GOD(THEOS) is He the visible image(IKON) of? THE Father? GOD THE SON? GOD THE HOLY GHOST? IF THEOS means simply GOD . And GOD is triune, then Jesus is the express image of the invisible TRINITY?

1 John 5:7 Its taken out saying its a interpolation, fabrication, thrown out the RSV bible.
32 scholars of the hightest eminence, backed by 50 co-operating denominations took it out the bible saying its not the word of God.

You do realize that the redaction error made in 1 John 5:7 was not made in all Bibles, don't you? And that that verse was not the basis for the doctrine of the Trinity, which was defined long before the editing error was ever made? Paul defines the Trinity in Galatians and that was NOT a redaction error.
