Although this video has been on for over 2 years, Snackville Junction is very much open and better than ever. In August of '07 it reopened under new owners and the train continues to bring joy to every kid that walks through the doors. The food is great and so is the service. Birthday parties are also available. The hours are: Mon-Sat. 11-8 and Sun.11-5.
i used to live in the apartments right down the street from there my building address was 9212 i think and my mom used to work there i now live in indiana and relly miss this place
There was a restaurant called Hamburger Choo Choo where I grew up on Long Island, NY that had the same idea-unforutnately, they had a fire and everything including the train burned down.
It's a shame that places like this don't seem to be popular any more. I know as a kid I loved the place. There's something about trains that completely enthralls kids.
According to the local newspaper this business was bought by new owners and will continue a legacy for more generations to come. Check out KPHAMMA channel everyone. Evergreen Park rocks!

It did close, but not for long because new owners bought it to keep the business running. We love that place.
