No no, moon rocks are a good CONDUCTOR of portal surfaces. Just as copper is a good conductor of electricity but your finger can work as a wire to transmit electricity, you can place portals on many surfaces. Considering it isn't a good conductor, I'm guessing the portal would be smaller?

The only thing that we think could go potentially faster than the speed of light is a single neutrino in the LHC (Large Hadron Collider) in which they only though that it went faster. If it actually did go faster, we'd have to re-write every single law of physics and kick the E=MC^2 equation that has worked for everything so far.

Pretty cool, but it could have been improved significantly if you'd added the proper sound effects for shooting and going through a portal. As it is (without making any sound) it really seems to make it less entertaining.

I would say that that kind of went way beyond self defense, I'm sure using the surface of the sun as a weapon to incinerate an unarmed and defenseless opponent wouldn't fly in court (provided they believed your story in the first place).

You are basing the portal on the sun with how in Portal 2 you make a portal on the moon, if you did not catch it while playing the white goop in the game is actually ground up moon rocks meaning the moon is naturally able for portal to be placed on, the sun is not though.
