  • I'm so glad this guy gave up stand-up comedy for horror novels. Proud that he's Swedish.

  • Just saw the French film, "They Came back", based on this book. Very good but I'm sure his book will be a better choice.

  • I absolutely loved the book! I can't wait to read his next installment.

  • @TraumatizedTrailers Have you read Final Handling its a somewhat sequal to this.

  • I've just finished reading "Handling the Undead" and I must say I was totally disappointed in it. I read "Let Me In" and was so hooked into the book, I couldn't put it down until I was done with it. Back to this one, what was the point of saying why all the electrical equipment wouldn't shut off, when after a while, it did. Why did people all have headaches? I didn't get that either. Why did ONLY certain undead people risen? To do what, NOTHING? Totally lost here...

  • I love this book and LTROI. Cant wait till more of his work gets translated to English!

  • @Flaxx Lets hope that Let The Old Dreams Die gets translated aye!?

  • John Ajvide Lindqvist is one of my favourite authors. Thankyou for putting this up :)

  • Naaw,, I'm reading it right now. :)

  • I read o novel once where this guy was resurrected and it went wrong so as a result he was kind of a zombie but not evil and it was kinda shit for the individual no eating no sleeping no sex no heart beat always having the wound that killed them never healing from damage he didnt rot or anything but still its not fun being a zombie

  • I love how he always takes a new perspective on an older theme. His other novel, Let the Right One In, is one of my favorite books. I'm looking forward to reading this one ^_^

  • Its so sad but when I found this clip I actually started clapping and jumping up and down in my chair. John is my literary hero. And, I have NO idea he spoke English.

  • @littleroom333

I'm glad John is making such an inpact on people from different parts of the world! I'm very very VERY proud of being a swede when we have such a wonderful author as John. He's change my life, basically, because I read his first novel in such a crucial time of my life.

And, for your information: Most swedes knows english ;) We learn it in school, you know!

  • @EzmeraldaS - Haha!!! Yes, I was just so thrilled to hear him talking in English when so many clips of him have been in Swedish. I LOVE LOVE LOVE John! I wish he'd come to California to do a book tour/signing.

  • I had bought this book as a present for my brother, but started reading it for myself. Very good book, filled with some very touching and emotional moments. I'd always thought the horror genre to be a bit cliched, but this work is so full of sentiment, that I want to read more of Lindqvist.

  • Well said!

  • I finished reading Let the right one in yesterday and started Handling the undead this night. So far it's really good and I'm looking forward to the movie! (if it'll turn out to be one)

  • @Nyappyp0per It will be made into series for television in the future, at least in Sweden. Don't know if it will be send in the rest of the world...

  • I enjoy how the "monsters" in his stories turn out to be very humane and good
