I was the first girl wrestler in my school.. I weighed in at 125, my coaches would have me pratice with the guys that weighed 180 to 198 lbs..... At first they put me with the guys that were my weight, but i made to many of them cry...lol...Those were the good old days... :) Im serious too! :)

couple things to say on this. in high school, i was pretty good: wrestled varsity sophomore year, advanced in state juior year. i wrestled 1 female in 4 years and she gave me a run for my money.

ON AVERAGE men are faster or stronger, however, averages don't matter when your opponent is smarter. suddenly she's leg-riding and your fighting her leg strength with your arms. she's not going to just start crying on you.

Its not fair to compare a women and a man because men are naturally going to be stronger, and faster. Its just our biology. A women is going to have a more fat and less strength because their bodies aren't naturally designed for that. Well women can be great wrestlers, but they don't need to be praised for it. Couple years ago where I'm at they made a bigger deal out of a girl getting 5th then the kid who actually was state champ. I'm fine with girls making strides in the sport but the kid who won should have gotten more praise in the paper and on the news in my opinion.
