Clean, way cleaner than Daddy at least... lol. The elbow did not come up and as the other commenter noted it was a follow through and the shoulder to elbow was vertical the whole time. Domi knows how to score and hit, can't wait until he makes the show.

The announcer's wrong, that was not "right to the head." It was definitely shoulder on shoulder because if it wasn't, Gavrus's head would have snapped back.

That was a hard clean hit last replay shows it all, if it would have been a head shot he would have been knocked out imediatly, and for those saying he wasnt hurt need to give your head a shake just because he wasnt knocked out right away doesnt mean he wasnt hurt

@pmcfee1968 I disagree entirely, Gavrus didn't embellish the hit at all and he tried to get back up but clearly couldn't, so after his third try and he collapsed. I'd like to point out as well that I thought the hit was clean, and I'm not an Attack fan, actually a fan of one of their rivals. By claiming that this was "soccer bullcrap" is pretty disappointing to read.

I don't believe that for a second. I have been knocked out playing hockey, and you don't get choose when you actually go under. Look up the two hits on RJ Umberger or the hit on Sami Kapinen. Those are knockout hits. He had to sell this hit, in order to draw a suspension and all the condemnation that goes with it. Just because his trainer says he was unconscious, doesn't mean he was. The pressure to succeed combined with this ridiculous new set of rules will result in more shenanigans.

@pmcfee1968 I've been knocked out playing hockey too, mine was instant but it doesn't always happen instantly. He was sent straight to the hospital after he was taken out on a stretcher and was released the following morning, and was under watch for 48 hours due to concussion symptoms. This wasn't an act.

I can't see anything wrong with this hit. It's unfortunate that Gavrus was shaken-up but that is the game of hockey. It's a contact sport and sometimes people get hurt. The slower it is played back the cleaner it looks. Gotta keep that head up.

I think that was a clean hit. From what I've learned from watching Brendan Shannahan's videos, it's clean.

Domi was committed to the hit.

Head position didn't change dramatically.

Wasn't blindside.

Didn't lead with his elbow.

Gavrus had his head down.
