Wow I was actually thinking about something sort of similar except with 2 quads

It can be made to any specification obviously. I a use the MCR320s because they are very popular and work well, Best bang for the buck.

I've got more parts to develop for it to facilitate mounting pumps and reservoirs but this design seems pretty flexible and robust.
