Ruler is right. There has never been a country called Palestine. This piece of land has been ruled by Persians, Romans, Ottomans and British since a couple of thousands years ago. When in 1948 Isreal was created, there was also supposed be a state for Palestinians but the Arbs wanted it all, and they lost what they had.

Remember a lot of Palestinians who leaved there sold their lands to the Jews, so the Jews owned a lot of the land in "Palestine" before Israel was even created.
