Without a shadow of doubt,Level 42 has withstood the test of time.Artists have come and gone but these guys remain(even though the original line up is no more).Positively the best UK based old school funksters bar none. They were my first favourite group when I was 12.I'm nearly 40 now and still do my air bass impressions when I hear this track!
To hear this best, find a mate with a serious Hi-Fi (or a hi-fi shop) where they have a vinyl player, get hold of this on 12" 45rpm, put the needle on the record, sit back, crank up the volume(not too loud but decent) and just listen
The drum solo in the middle is out of this world
Apparently, Marcus Muller (the best bass player in the world ?) was asked who he thought was the best bass player in the world. His answer ? Mark from Level 42
like straght talkers ... was getting `a wave` then read this and fell about... nice one !!! love level also `humonid` or `sweano latno` house classics me think...are there videos KINGBASSPLAYER
Great video, great song. A truly great band. Are those acid washed jeans Mike has on? LOL, cheesy, Mike is a total Geek in this video, but a talented artist!
I'm glad I'm hearin what they're hearing...but not wearing what they're wearing...bloody hell, then again, undies hanging out your pants is not gonna look either in a decade or so!!
omg your right ... he sure needed someone to tell him about it before the video was filmed hehe ...but the music and voices are incredible as always !
ooooh what's with Mike's alternate universe dance rhythm? What is he dancing to??? I think i want Phil's hairstyle. But yeah this was some of Level's best stuff.
What a track!!! Must be one of their most underrated ever! I love it.

Mike has the look of Screech meets Phil Lynott. Such a cheesetastic video but Marks Slap Bass compensates. It's F**cking Awesome!!!

I think he looks like Richard Pryor or a young Chris Kamara there.
Weirdly, in later years he looks like Jeremy Guscott :o!!

The first 12-inch I ever bought.
I played the B-Side, called "The Return Of The Handsome Rugged Man" more often than this track, even though this is a great track too.

Nice song, though we can clearly see they had a lot to learn about video appearance.
Also, I kinda hate that stupid moustache Mike had in the older days. Glad he removed it.
