  • Did he died?

  • i was born 5 months after on da 25th, of november.......

  • Reed Timmers got balls but he's a total douche bag

  • In Soviet Russia, tornado chase you...Holy shit, a paradox.

  • As a sidenote, Reed still expresses regret over this video because it has influenced others to seek shelter in underpasses even though he and many other chasers and experts have continually emphasized that it's an incredibly dangerous, even deadly place to hide and should NEVER be used.

  • And now it isn't "amateur storm chaser" but "awesome, hot dude with a doctorate in meteorology and forecasting, a huge following, his own chase tours, a huge website, and oh yeah, his own TV show."

Glad to be a part of it all. :D

  • reed is an f***ing a** hole

  • Reed Timmer is not an amatuer storm chaser.

  • this was on "Most Shocking" or "Most Daring"

  • Why do people do this?! If it's to study tornadoes, then I'm sure that there is a method of study twisters WITHOUT RISK OF BEING IN THEIR PATHS.Sure it's not as stupid as walljumping onto a bench sideways, but the whole thing seems pretty stupid to do!

  • @BusterBeetleX Some people just enjoy it. Its an adrenaline rush. People do a lot dumber things than this, and this is not even dumb to begin with. Its just a storm that people want to film.

  • @cw5394 Itm ay not be stupid, per-se, but it was dangerous as sh*bleeeep*.

  • @BusterBeetleX Unfortunately the space between your ears and your brain has lost the connection. The reason Storm Chasers chase tornados is because if they do not go out there then there will be no one to call it in so people will hopefully be warned in enough time to save lives. Also a lot of them need to get close to them to collect the data they need so hopefully one day people will no longer get injured or even worse DIE!! Storm Chasers are HERO'S.

  • Hate Reed Timmer, met him while chasing with my buddies from OU once....what a jerk.

  • I don't want to get into a religious debate w/this comment, but I want to post it. In March and April, 1999, a man went on a march up and down a street in Fort Smith, AR carrying a giant cross on wheels. He was finally interviewed by the news, and told them he had a dream and was told by God that Fort Smith had sinned and would be destroyed by the largest tornado ever in history 1 mile wide w/300 mph winds. I went to school that way each day so many mornings we saw him w/the cross.

  • @vaibanez17 He said this in April. He said that he felt that he could beg God's mercy and show that we were still a "Godly" city. Many people said he was crazy and only a few people said "If he really believes in this I won't call him a liar" type comments that I know of. Anyways, he stopped doing this right at the end of April. We never saw him out again on the road with the cross. Then May 3rd, 1999 that mile wide tornado hit with 300+ winds. I will chalk it up to "undetermined".

  • @vaibanez17 I should say it hit OKC obviously, not Fort Smith.

  • This is exactly why I want to move to Oklahoma. I love tornadoes!

  • reed timmer's first tornado, one of the most powerful recorded tornadoes in the past 100 years, and that was his first tornado, and

i bet every stormchaser wants to be him

  • OKLAHOMA sucked anyway

  • "Wow, look at the size of that thing!" I know it was his first tornado, but getting turned on by it!?........

  • @forthepuppies sexy...

  • huh, little did Reed know that this twister was gonna smash into Okie city!!!

  • This was on 'Storm Stories'; I watched that show when I was 4 or 5.

  • If reed timmer asks you to go storm chasing with him.....your best bet is to stay home and watch Twister

  • fuck that go out and check mother nature, its really fun

  • @bdoncho27

Dude trust me, I wanna but in Southern California we ain't got shit :/

  • The wind you got there, under that bridge was not 300 mph, the funnel would have been crankin that but you were not inside the twist..........luckily for you because there is no way you would have survived.

  • THIS IS JUST AS BAD AS THE JOPLIN, MISSOURI TORNADOES OF APRIL-MAY 2011!!!

  • Lived in Altus, Oklahoma when this happened. Man, that thing was a complete monster.

  • As powerful as this tornado was, it might as well have been an EF-6 tornado.

  • WHAT THE FUCK?!?!

  • This wasn't an EF6.

  • THERE IS NO EF6 TORNADOS!!!! NO!!!! WTF IS PROBLEM WITH YOU? PISS ME OFF UNEDUCATED PPL ACT LIKE THEY KNOW!! WHEN THEY DONT KNOW!!!!

  • Reed timmer and Joel taylor and maybe Chris chittick

  • my birthday is 5/20/99 lolz

  • omg their are so lucky i do mean lucky dudes.

  • << there is no such thing as an EF"6" Tornado.....

  • @BlossomTreeLover Actually there is, the new enhanced Fujita scale has included EF6 - Inconceivable tornado. You can look it up.

  • @IndianBhagwan1 No, there isn't. Go look at the noaa's website. They only have up to EF-5. There are 6 levels to the scale. EF-0, EF-1, EF-2, EF-3, EF-4, and EF-5.

    spc noaa gov/faq/tornado/ef-scale.html

  • @IndianBhagwan1 i just looked it up there is no ef6. only ef0, through ef5:

F Number Fastest 1/4-mile (mph) 3 Second Gust (mph) EF Number 3 Second Gust (mph) EF Number 3 Second Gust (mph)

    0 40-72 45-78 0 65-85 0 65-85

    1 73-112 79-117 1 86-109 1 86-110

    2 113-157 118-161 2 110-137 2 111-135

    3 158-207 162-209 3 138-167 3 136-165

    4 208-260 210-261 4 168-199 4 166-200

    5 261-318 262-317 5 200-234 5 Over 200

  • @BlossomTreeLover

Ours (Joplin,MO May 22, 2011) was considered an EF6 considering the following:

Size, winds, damage, death toll, path, lengh of path.

  • @Lacey4129 No, it wasn't. There is no such thing as an EF6. There are 6 levels on the scale. EF0, EF1, EF2, EF3, EF4, and EF5.

It got as wide as 1 mile. There have been others measure up to 4 miles wide.

There were no wind speed measurements, but damage indicates 200+ mph speeds.

Damage done is typical of EF5 tornadoes.

    Path is irrelevant.

Length of path is irrelevant, though it was only on the ground 6 miles, hardly record breaking.

    It was an EF5.

  • @Landrar this is true. interesting thing is this. you can have a mile wide tornado anywhere. the f scale is based primarily upon damage done. if a mile wide tornado does little damage, ( very unlikely lol) it will be classified at less than an ef5 scale

  • @yamahonkawazuki Yep, happened with the Mulhall Ok tornado. Only received an F4 status because it only hit the small town of Mulhall, Ok. Radar showed it to be just as intense as the Moore tornado, just bigger.

Since it didn't hit much, though, and it was already winding down when it got to Mulhall, it was rated as F4.

  • @Landrar I'm just going off what I was told by various people (news crew ((what they were saying back in May&June)), some people that were helping with our cleaning up, etc.)

  • @Lacey4129 F Number Fastest 1/4-mile (mph) 3 Second Gust (mph) EF Number 3 Second Gust (mph) EF Number 3 Second Gust (mph)

    0 40-72 45-78 0 65-85 0 65-85

    1 73-112 79-117 1 86-109 1 86-110

    2 113-157 118-161 2 110-137 2 111-135

    3 158-207 162-209 3 138-167 3 136-165

    4 208-260 210-261 4 168-199 4 166-200

    5 261-318 262-317 5 200-234 5 Over 200

  • reed timmer, being chased by tornadoes since 1999

  • Overpass? Bad idea...find a ditch and get as flat as you can. Won`t be pleasant but it`s more rurvivable

  • look good....death looks good? i understnad though, he is a storm chaser, but im sure he will find a new respect one day..

  • @ThleTruth like that day

  • If I was in there I'd be like: FUUCKKKK RUN LIKE HELL!!!

  • PENIS

  • lol sol

  • OoOoOooo...OMG

  • Wholy mutha fu__ing sh_t!!!! that is fu__ing amazing

  • i remember that year

  • TURN AROUND YOU ARE LOOKING GOOD!!!

  • Oh My _____ GOD!!

  • To all the critics who think they know everything about a tornado, let's put you half a mile from an EF5 tornado and let's see how your non experience tactics come in to play.

  • @FsxHitmarkerz No it didn't cause the record is 318.

  • Haha the retard under the overpass is Reed Timmer.

  • Those Retards DO NOT GO UNDER A UNDERPASS!

  • Strong Earthquakes and F5 Tornados, Wow atleast i know where i will not be moving to in the future.

  • @givepropstotherich yeah dont move here. we get earthquakes F5 Tornados and in the winter we get ice storms. its so annoying -_-

  • Oh my God! affffffffffffffffffff isso e de dar medo

  • 0:50 "He and his friends decide they need a closer look."Just....wow.

  • That's crazy

  • Welcome to Oklahoma most unpredictable place on Earth.

  • woo

  • f6 is really ef5

  • @Potter551000 Higher winds than a f5 though. 302 MPH, i consider that a f6. Would you?

  • @Theblocker5 F5: 261 - 318 MPH

  • this is the tornado tht broke ma house down a long time ago

  • Big sonuvva bitch is so massive and powerful that it broke the damn scale! There should be an F6 factor here, though, just so that we can easily recognize the most powerful tornadoes in history.

  • lol, to the user who posted this, nice screenname, but it's "Goa'uld" not "Guald."

  • lucky SOB

  • Reed did a good job chasing that for a rookie..............just don't ever EVER hide under an overpass!

    He's a professional now.

  • fucking sick

  • lol 90's :p

  • good your still alive.

  • Good job Reed, but your not a amateur storm chaser anymore...

  • If they detect a tornado like this, run, you can easily outrun a tornado by getting in your car, they just don't want everyone getting on the road and causing a fatal traffic jam. By all means get the fuck out of there

  • this wasnt the oklahoma city tornado just sayin

  • in the old f-scale anyting over 300+ mph is considered a f6 since it was considered unthinkable at the time that winds could get that high. plus if u were in that tornado like i was it was absolute hell on earth literally

  • @KingTornadoX No - F5 is up to 318mph on a ground level and it is the official rating of this tornado.

  • @kubat1987 im talking about the old F1-5 scale not the EF1-5

  • @KingTornadoX That's exactly my point. In the EF scale EF5 starts at 200mph and has no upper limit.

  • here are no F6 Torandos there is only EF5

  • @TCN131 it goes up to f12 its just f6-12 was never expected to be reached

  • "amateur storm chaser Reed Timmer" haha he's so well known now, it's funny.

  • There is no tornado over an EF5

  • 0:53 Thats what she said....

  • IF there was an EF6 my god help us all and i have reeds facebook too

  • Wind Fullfilled i was think Tornado over 1 years

  • twister!

  • Wow!!!! very humbling..............

  • That tornado saw the movie twister and was like... "I'll show that bitch Helen Hunt!"

  • damn nature you scary!

  • 0:06 no thats not good man

  • this tornado has the highest windspeeds ever recorded 315 MPH

  • Correction... Joplin, MO is the deadliest tornado on record. 154.

  • @karenbryant actually the tri-state tornado march 18, 1925. 695 confirmed fatalities. it went through missouri, illinois, and indiana.

  • @43078 In fact, the deadliest tornado in world history was the 1989 Daulatpur-Saturia, Bangladesh tornado, killing around an estimated 1,300 people.

  • @43078 The Tri-State Tornado was some kind of weather phenomenon. If you research it, it had devastating wind speed but was moving along the ground at 60+ mph, faster than any tornado has ever churned across the landscape. Eyewitnesses that miraculously survived said it looked like a massive black cloud rolling towards them....the very definition of swift death. The real question is: Will we see something like that again?

  • @darkinsdme2 Tornadoes frequently move over land at high speeds. There's nothing rare, much less unique, about a tornado moving at 60 mph.

  • @darkinsdme2 verry possible. luckily we have better early warning with the technology we have today.

  • This tornado ISN'T the most deadliest one. That record belongs to the Tuscaloosa, AL tornado.

  • The little Geo Tracker near the bridge held its ground Amazing it wasnt blown away!

  • didnt they revise the Fujita Scale because this tornado was actually an F-6

  • @128726 Yes, the Fujita Scale has been revised. Instead of saying a tornado is F1, F2, etc...it's EF1, EF2...etc. It's called the Enhanced Fujita Scale.

  • @honeyflash1 yea yea i thought they did... thanx

  • ye start discussing religion , its pointless ... this is a tornado vid not a church ;s

  • OH MAH GAWD! IT TURNED! FFFFFFFFFFFU

  • Everyone, you clicked on this video to watch the forces of nature and how destructive they can be, not to criticise each other and type obscenities over a website. Don't worry about what other people say. Ignore them and watch the video. That's why we're all here on this website, to watch videos.

  • you guys! HELP!

who the hell is gonna help u against THAT beast

  • I was alive and in oklahoma during it. I had to hide in a closet lol. It was tennis ball sized hail, and 318 mph wind speed. It destroyed blockbuster and flipped a car on top of pizza hut xD You guys just talk all this scientific bull shit and have no idea what REALLY happened because you fat fucks wern't even there!

  • @TheColonySurvivors I have been through my share of tornados and hurricanes. this particular storm was some what of an anomaly. Before you go blasting people for taking a more scientific approach do not forget you are not the only person who has ever experienced a natural disaster and it sure as hell don't make you special. If you actually did happen to be there congrats on surviving just drop the attitude.

  • @TheColonySurvivors shut up duche bag

  • @MrLax56 You spelled douche bag wrong douche bag lol.

  • @TheColonySurvivors ok asshole why couldn't have you been a victim why do you have to be a giant asshole about it......

  • This was the last F5 tornado because it was so powerful that they had to change the scale. The old scale went to 275 mph if my memory serves me right. This tornado had the highest windspeed EVER recorded on Earth 318 mph!!! The loss of life was minimal because Gary Englund (weatherman) was telling everyone that this tornado is an absolute killer and that you are not safe inside ANY building. That you need to be underground or it will kill you!

  • I hope the guy isn't trying to say he was in winds "approaching 300 mph." Maybe 60 or so. 300 mph winds would rip a person apart. Reminds of reporters standing in hurricanes. They claim they are in 80 mph wind when it's more like 45 or 50 at most. Wind tunnel tests show a man cannot even lean and brace himself and hold his ground in winds above about 75 mph.

  • @UnseenCaller no, F5 tornadoes often reach speeds of 250 mph or over, and this was the strongest recorded tornado so i wouldn't be surprised if it reached 300

  • @strangelylucky It reached 310mph so ya

  • is Gods work he controls the elements and the science behind it.. But this is tornados who cares who said oh god or whatever.Storms and tornados are neat and fun to watch and would be fun to chase

  • why dont you all stfu!!!!!!!

  • You better thank god.

  • lol reed is everywhere

  • @043Chriszke Reed is an annoying little cry ass.

  • @jabrooonni but he is everywhere:P i think he is more like a steve erwin that:P

  • @jabrooonni

I was just glad he wasn't screaming about dominating the storm, like he does on discovery.

  • that is awesome i would go inside But its way too dangerous

  • This is so 90's :D

  • Fuckin white boys r crazy as hell! lol

  • Damn Most Shocking! You Scary!

  • Wow. That's some serious adrenaline addiction those chasers have. I suppose the philosophy would be, if you're gonna die, at least get a front-row seat, it'll be a helluva show?

  • Mother nature is a hideous bitch goddess.

  • Yeahp, its incredible until your ass is being flung 200 ft in the air by 300mph winds.

  • 2:43 OMG i thought that was like a white cats tail i was like wut?

  • this was 3 days before i was born:) lol , thought id share that wiv u alll lol

  • Stupidest comments always make it to the top.

  • There isn't an ' F6 ' Tornado it goes up to F5

  • Ama

  • @adamania - ignorance never ceases to amaze but you almost did. Nature is God's work moron!!

  • @dakchad74 Would baby Jesus call me a moron?

  • Wtf ? No dominator back in 1999

  • Reed, an amateur storm chaser? Not.

  • @w9awx1 I know right its wierd to hear Reed Timmer being an amtuer

  • theres a big swirling cloud of death coming at you and your first impluse is to drive closer. hmmm

  • Comment removed

  • PEOPLE SHOULDNT ARGUE ABOUT GOD ON A VIDEO THAT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH GOD. damn since when did god have anything in common with huge swirling clouds of mass destruction?

  • Jesus....Thats a huge tornado...OMG :O

  • retards 1 of the most stupidest places to take cover! i would have chanced it by going to the car and getting the fuck out of there...

  • guys leave bornagainjessie alone she was just stating her opinion

  • @PillzHereify hmm but it's in vain, he wants god to save him.... that's not vain??

  • reed timmer gay

  • @gtarz40ful Dude he could of died! You people are stupid!

  • @SonicFan977 We Know! We're sorry he didn't get sucked up and driven into a barn like a nail because he's in the way being a dumbass while folks with common sense are trying to get away from it!

It's like, we've got a narrow country road let's drive like mad for safety. Oh wait here's a couple of dipshits probably live 2 states away coming straight at us giggling like little girls holding a camera weaving around not watching where they're going, gonna get us all killed.

    Sorry they lived.

  • @batvette It's ok But really who does that!?

  • "WE'VE GOT TO GO!" LOL And they go to a highway overpass. Man, stupid.

  • @PillzHereify Yeah, shut up religious crazies. This is nature. Not God's work.

  • @adamania Keep on scoffing, scoffer.

  • @gonetoworkbbackin5mi I intent on!

  • @adamania I'm guessing not Mrs.Nature, The devil? He is TRYING (And failing ) to stop God.

  • @adamania Hey your retard everybody can have there views if I were thep olice you would be locked up

  • @williamwilbur lol. ah, shut the hell up.

  • @adamania why don't you your the bad person.

  • @adamania wow I thought I was the only atheist on earth

  • @adamania you fucking cock sucking idiot, you do know god created every single thing in the whole universe including nature right !!!! not a leaf falls of a tree without gods will, you dumb crack head!!!!!!!!

  • @90PDV Why do you speak as if you're like, not a Christian? The profanity, you know? It's laughable.

  • @adamania Everything is God's work. Even you are, dopey.

  • @TheJmb24 Dayum, who'd have thought I would have created such a ruckus with religious people in this video of them all. I'm feeling outnumbered! Anybody NOT religious in here?

  • @adamania where did nature come from?

  • @TheJewelChest the bible is 1 big lie a man made up. more and more people everyday give up there religions.

  • @Restokilerah I didn't say anything about a Bible or Religion....

  • @TheJewelChest Reality is what we make in our heads, this includes nature. Think about space, and the strong likelihood that more life exists out there, and you begin to think of processes of life outside of some one conscious force/being creating it.
