  • Dave King had one of the best rock voices...up there with Blackie Lawless!

  • HOLY SHIT!!!!!! THAT'S DAVE KING'S VOICE!? UN-FUCKING-BELIEVABLE!!!

  • Fastway ROCKS ! Period . A shame they didn't stay together . I believe they could have taken AC/DC 's stardom .

  • I think fastway was best with dave king

  • I saw them at Roberts Stadium in Evansville, IN in 1984. Although the headliners were Ratt ("Round and Round") and Twisted Sister where better than expected, Fastway flat out blew them off the stage! Dave King had that awesome voice and Fast Eddie and Jerry Shirley were on fire. Their first 3 studio albums are all excellent hard rock. I wish they had made it bigger.

  • i swear Great White stole Fastways sound. i hear Great White so much in this, from style to the singer.

  • fastway..another 1 that didnt get there that should ave...why is this ...where they a failure in the states or what..i'm from australia and we hear nothin so let me know if u know why....4 what its worth these guys are awesome

  • 15 people have too much of a hard-on for Justin Dweeber.

  • malade !!! le meilleure videoclip que jais vu adate .... des DRAGSTER pi du ROCK !!! y manque yinque des filles

  • I can't believe Dave King is in this band lol! I love Floggin molly

  • I've never seen this video but I have the album on CD. Good song. Video reminds me of some of the dumb (illegal) street racing I did in my youth. Love drag races. Been to quite a few with father when I was teenager.

  • Justin Bieber chokes on candy corn.

  • sexy, dave! XD omfg!

  • so true about the soundtrack on da movies

  • been loving this band since they started in 1983..!!

  • well wasnt dave king (lead singer) just a sexy beast back then XD

  • ROCK ON ! BAD ASS VIDEO THUMBS UP

  • MAN! IT'S THE ROCK N' ROLL RACING HOSTER (LET THE CARNAGE BEGIN!)

  • WHAT A VOICE MY GOD!!!!!!AMAZINGGGGGGGGGGGGG

  • Great band, makes me miss the 80's.Gotta go,my testosterone just dried up watching this.LOL

  • Why in the hell is Dave King not in this band right now!! Nobody can sing these songs like he does!!

  • @strangerinthenight79

because even though i do dig fastway, and metal in general. Flogging molly is alot better then fast way. sorry.

  • Even if you dont like the tune, its a kewl vid for us SPEED freaks!

  • OK, any video that has nitro funny cars in it is AWESOME. Period.

  • It's so wild that this guy went on to form Flogging Molly.

  • @71savages Glad he did though

  • first part in 1985 : acdc fly on the wall tour

    l remember in bruxelles...forest national

  • i'm kinda stoned so it might just be me... but... uuuh... Dave King kinda looks like Bon Scott on this video no? but with orange hair

  • @RoybertitosFan1 Yeah, he does

  • Before Headbangers Ball,wow !!!

  • Who is the lead singer? She's kind of cute.

  • @urb0123 Um that's not a chick it's Dave King frontman for Flogging Molly

  • @urb0123 That "She" is a he..

  • @bennett475

Sigh... yes, I know. I was trying to say he wears his hair, dresses, and moves like a chick in a humorous way.

  • @urb0123 That's not a wig my friend. And that was the style back in the day, I'm not even old enough to say that but it's true.

  • i had the joys of watching Jerry Shirley (the drummer) reherse up at a local studio the other day :) he lives down the road from me, and i never knew til about 4 hours ago! haha

  • Fast and Furious was to slow for this song.

  • shit im All FIRE UP NOW LETS ROCK!

  • FLOGGING MOLLY!!!

  • love this film

  • Hey flyboyofglam. I know your loafers are light, allowing you to fly and all. This is like grade school rock compared to Flogging Molly. It is good old stuff for sure Why do you throw constraints calling Flogging Molly punk? They are just what they are. Very inventive at that. Open your mind past the cheese metal dude! (relax, I am ribbin' ya)

  • @Superbike373 If you are referring to my account name when you said cheese metal, I meant glam as in glam rock, Bowie, Sweet and the like. Everybody gets that messed up, ha ha. I guess I hate molly cause some of my friends who think they're Irish because their great great grandparents are keep playing it til the speakers fall out. It's cool though

  • @flyboyofglam I meant to be funny, it's all good. He is the real Irish deal though.

  • Great Song that Rocks

  • I don't like it as much as Say What You Will, but that was abdass video, performing in front of the Christmas tree and all, I guess these guys were supposed to be the next Zep, that didn't really work out...but they are still badass

  • Are you kidding? I love the pants. Beats the hell out of the baggy jeans/Slayer hoodie thing you see nowadays

  • I love the vintage drag racing footage!!!

  • 100% pure Hard Rock ! good times, good memories.

  • Song Kicks Balls!!! But I DON'T want to know what the singer was thinking LOL- skinny white pant's ( with crack legs). Again, the track KICK'S MONSTER BALL'S!!

  • There was a time I could not get enough of Fastway! Dave King's voice was so amazingly awesome....basic good garage band music! Anyone remember "Heft"?

  • lol, he didn't join it, he started it

  • I love this video. Not sure you can pack any more testosterone in there! lol.

Can't believe you have Fast Eddie from Motorhead + Humble Pie's Jerry Shirley + Dave King from Flogging Molly + at some point also UFO's Pete Way. Whew, what a band, so much talent. If you guys have it in you to re-unite as @wannabenj suggested, please do, we will buy the tickets!!!

  • Oh man how I love Flogging Molly.

Glad he formed it although this is quite good in its own genre.

  • man,Fastway was awesome.I used to play drums in a band that covered Fastway.I used to have the same drums as Jerry Shirley. He was an awesome drummer.Perfect fit for Fastway.I wish they would reunite

  • looks like Petra

  • I just bought this on cd, damn great band, the singer sounds little like Robert Plant.

  • You can say what you want about Dave and Flogging Molly, Just be glad he's over the tight whte pants phase

  • I'm glad he's over the acting-like-mick-jagger phase xD

  • Tenho 3 vinis e foi uma das bandas mais parecidas com o Zeppelin que ouvi.

    Rock pesado.

  • Comment removed

  • haha funny to see daveking in his Young age

  • Thank you so much for uploading this!

The first 2 Fastway albums are PERFECT

  • Flogging Molly is trash compared to this. This hits metal on the head. Flogging Molly is a punk band, and they can't even get punk right. Dave forming Molly is almost as bad as, say, Gary Cherone for Van Halen, or Vivian Campbell leaving Dio to join Def Leppard. Such squandered talent...

  • Yeah absolutely right. It's rather disappointing. What was Dave thinking? I guess, all good things must come to an end!

  • lol this aint metal, haha :D this is classic rock

  • I guess that's more politically correct, but personally, I don't think classic rock is a real genre. It's more like a label that comes with time, because twenty years from now, Linkin Park (ugh) will be considered classic rock. But that's just my input

  • yeah, but classic rock is a label given to tha "primordial" bandas, the traditional bands, and twenty years from now Linkin Park won't even be remembered! xD

    lol

  • Let's hope so

  • I'm sure about that.

  • @madelchan classic rock isn't a genre.

    traditional rock is.

    but this is surely metal.

  • yeeeeh ! fast eddie clarke !!

  • When I hear the chorus and see those flames shoot 20 feet out the back of that car I get chills.

Man, you'd have to pay me a good amount to stand 4 feet away from a speeding funny car

  • I knew Dave King, he used to drink in my local back in the late eighties - can't believe he's with that load of shit: Flogging Molly -- garbage - man, this guy can sing what the fuck he is trying to be a second rate Shane Mcgowan copy cat. I hate that stupid noise - long live good hard rock.

  • That was a great concert, Fastway at Lamour in brooklyn going on 27years ago. They Played the 2 albums they had out and called it a night. Awesome.

  • dave king ffs! x)

  • used to street race in the 80's and this is what we listened to , to get pumped up ! this and Saxon ROCKED ! !

  • @DELIKAT2 Saxon sucked major ass. wtf?!

  • @DELIKAT2 Funny! My first concert was Motley Crue, Saxxon and Heavy Pettin' at the Century Two convention center in Wichita Kansas. Heavy Pettin' didn't show (someone was ill) But the show was great (Too Fast for Love Tour). We raced, but outside of town on less traveled highway that we had a quarter mile marked off on.

  • hellllllllllllllllllllllll Yerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

  • Wow, that takes me back ... way back.

  • This song could fit in a film like "fast and furious", instead of those rap craps

  • HOLY SHIT!!! That is the smartest idea I've heard on this video comment section. Seriously

  • @ter50 leave imports and rap together, they belong together, and not on the drag strip:) American muscle, and American metal! f**k yeah!

  • @ter50 -remember, most of the people on the planet listen to sub-standard shit. Including ghey movie producers.

  • @ter50 rap crap is right. I've always said that rap is in the word crap... one in the same.

  • That's kick ass!

  • God Damn!!..Have you ever been at the starting line when one of those fuckers starts up??? HOLY SHIT ...still the loudest thing I've ever head in my life

  • VERY underrated & unsung band!

  • nionionionionionionionion

  • bladekiller990 My advice to you kid, don't act older then you are, why rush things when you have all the time in the world, so slow down and experience your age, thats the thing with you kids you rush, no need to,

  • HAHAHA Dave King! Flogging Molly's lead singer!

  • haha yeah it's so weird!

  • I'm sure I saw these support AC/DC on their UK tour in '86. Anybody confirmthis. Seem to remebert his song as a stand out from one of the better support acts. Waysted are anither support act i seem to remember being very good, think that was Maiden Powerslave tour

  • sillyassidahoan Rock on, you know how I feel, the world went belly up in 89, after that music, and the world tended to slide, it's more convaluaded.

  • I'm only 13... so I wasn't alive in the 80'z. Wish I was though! The music now dayz suck! :P My parentz were big time metal headz and shit so I've been listening to this kinda stuff for yearz! :) I <3 it... Nothing getz better than 80'z music!! :)

  • ah takes me back to my rebell days in the 80's class of 86, now I'm 40 still stuck in the past, hate this rap crap generation, they act black when there white, thats pathethic..wonder why im still stuck in the past..keep on rocking in the past i know i will

  • lol I live In Canada, we have natives that act black...now thats realy pathetic , native rap bands.

  • I know what your saying. I'm Class of 86 too.

  • man i'm 15 and feel I'd be better off groing up back in the 80's

  • Nah, You would feel that way about the 70's if you were growing up in the 80's. besides the music and nostalgia will always be around

  • checkout flogging molly hes the lead singer!!!

  • Dave King was 17 when he joined this band. Fu

  • FAST EDDIE RULES!!!

  • EERIE! He looks like Bon Scott!! Awesome Voice! I'll take this over Floging Molly anyday!!

  • I totally agree this kicks flogging mollys ass way more balls way more metal way more awesome in every way i see it

  • can't believe this is flogging mollys singer!

  • Great song and band. They would never be allowed to make this video 20 some years later.

The band had huge balls to allow themselves to be in front of tree while Top Fuel Funny cars do their burnouts past them. WOW mega dangerous. If one those cars would get out shape you wouldnt have time to piss your pants. Instant death.

30yrs later still a great band with a amazing singer.

  • I think Dave King sounds like Robert Plant but with more power. He also sounds like the lead vocalist from Great White but more exciting.

  • Saw this band in 1983 at Lamour in brooklyn. Monster concert . They pretty much played there 1st 2 albums and called it a night.Still 2 this day 1 of the better concerts I've been to.

  • so great,,,remember me,,,,,led zep and great white on vocal,,,thanksssssss

  • Dave King's voice is similar to Vince Neil's, but the Fastway's music is different from Motley Crue

  • You mean the other way around. Fastway was around way before Motley Crue.

  • Motley Crue was formed in 1981. When Fastway formed in 1983, Motley Crue had already released 2 records. In 1982, Fast Eddie was still playing with Motorhead! BTW, I'm not a Motley Crue fan. Those 2 first Fastway LPs were excellent stuff!

  • They sound alot more like zeppelin though.

    Thanks for the info.

  • Can someone explain to me why the entertainment industry,(tv,radio, music, bands, etc), keeps coming up with new ideas,(sounds,tv shows, etc.), when just about EVERYONE wants the classics? If you look up any kind of classic rock, metal, pop or classic tv sitcoms and cartoons EVERYONE wants them yet they keep making new stuff.IDK I just don't get it.Maybe I'm biased and alone but I feel that the '90's brought nothing and nothing has come since.

  • that's hard!

  • Dave King from Flogging Molly on vocals!

  • what a voice, saw him in Dublin with QED in late eighties and a great jam with the Gypsy guitar player in Temple Bar aswell and with Flogging Molly in Amsterdam.

  • Great rock and roll. Too bad the industry doesnt put out this kinda stuff any more. At least, we have the classics to listen to.

  • any band from the 80's even 70 were/is the best an im 29

  • this rocks

  • i agree about the 80's being best for rocka nd metal music. but alot of these bands still perform. hell im seeing Twisted Sister,Skid Row,Warrant,Thin Lizzy, Anthrax,OverKill, and alot more in pryor oklahoma in july. i cant fuckign wait! Death To All But Metal! ~Steel Panther

  • too right! im lucky these bands still perform-just prooves how good they are if theyre still putting on shows and bringing in new audiences. my first big gig was twisted sister and alice cooper and since its been a long line of older bands.

i know ill never get the real feel like i was there back in the day-ill never be able to see sabbath when they were in their prime or queen with a rock fan base instead of the seated families of greatest hit fans. i know what id do if i could time travel!

  • You guys are right on, about the vocals, or " the lack of " in today's "Rock" music! But what about the guitars? Where are all of the killer guitar riffs and solos that used to punctuate all songs? The guitar gods have faded away..I'm just glad I got to see all of the great performers back in the 80's, before everything became watered down radio friendly trash.

  • Where the fuck is this vocal today? Where the fuck?! All fuckin dumbass singers in bands today. All fuckin dumbs today daaamn ;P

  • i wonder if we'll ever get a singer in a modern band that can sing like this.

im 20 and missed out on some of the best eras of rock music and i say that cuz most of the huge talents that will be remembered seemed to exist before i was even born.

theres only a couple of modern bands that impress me and thats a shame

(it also makes it impossible for me to play in band of people my age that i actually like being in)

  • you do know this guy is the singer and leader of flogging molly right

  • yeah i do-theyre really different bands but still pretty good-its kind of like when blackmore went from Rainbow to Blackmores Knight in a way.

i was just saying how you dont really get many new singers like him when he sung in fastway. most bands with power and great vocal range came from a few decades ago & any modern band that revisits that type of thing just gets considered "cheesey" which annoys me a bit.

i think its just the attitudes of my peers-im out of date with my own generation.

  • youre right about singers...unfortunately mediocrity has become somewhat standard among bands...it doesnt take talent to become famous anymore...in fact singers like old dave king bruce dickinson and rob halford are becoming fewer

  • i think after rock has got as fast & heavy as its gonna get the only way to go will be back to melodicly strong music but nobody wants talent any more! its one of the things i respected The Darkness for-a modern band actually trying! vocal range melodic riffs & solos but yet again all the people that said they liked that band suddenly hated them and called it a fad. too many people like that. people like the so-called alice cooper fans that have only heard of "poison" & none of the other songs.

  • alice cooper is a rock icon and his music is genius but youre right the darkness were good...unfortunately their singer left. but even then there were fast and heavy bands with singers but now most metal heads want shit like slipknot who while talented in their own right do not do justice to people like robert plant and singers like that

  • yeah youre right -i guess from that break up hotleg and the stone gods formed and i like both bands.

i just dont get where all the proper rock fans are these days because everyone my age accepts unimaginitive generic metal as the best there is and disregards all the great bands of the past.

haha! im a huge fan of early Queen-but if i mention that on a queen youtube vid i get thumbed down to hell cuz none of them are in a greatest hit album!

    ahhh some people XD

  • don't worry brother im only 15 but this summer my band lightning war is gonna get a demo out one song called blew it all to hell I wrote the lyrics kinda based on this song cause I agree the singing in this song is amazing. Just find people like yourself who despise the mainstreem crap and actually know a thing or two about music if your at a college that shouldn't be too hard.
