@GodlessMartyr666 YOUR QUOTE>>>>"I rank the .375 woodleigh up with the .444 marlin in terms of hitting power" <<< thats why I CORRECTED YOU ya stupid asshole.
true enough in terms of joules on impact but the sheer size of a .444 scares me to think about, wide bastard of a thing that turns into a silver dollar on impact
I always think about a .45 auto, it goes slow and doesn't hit hard ( in terms of joule force or newtons ) but the expansion on impact makes it a man stopper. Just not a body armor wearing-man stopper...
@GodlessMartyr666 Foot pounds and numbers mean very little on how dead things can get. It's all about bullet type, accuracy, and then the power comes second. I've had bullets from my .375 h&h (250 grain spbt)with a poor shot fail to exit both sides of a 120 pound doe..... the 250 grain spbt is a poorly constructed target round and it was a poor shot, the deer took forever to die. The bullet was carrying 4400 foot pounds and transfered all into the doe but it didn't matter. ran 120+ yards
@GodlessMartyr666 Are you kidding? 375H&H hits with like 4500 ft lbs of energy the 444 marlin hits with just over 3000 ft lbs. 375 is a lot more powerful!

He does handle that recoil very well. Those 350 grainers kick like hell.

.375 is much greater than the .444, as are several smaller than .375 rifles

That guy is one hell of a shooter, he managed that recoil much better than I would have.
