  • @usfguy85 ahahaa ur kidding me....

  • my gosh i cant wacth these videos anymore cuz every time i wacth them it make me miss marching drumline alot

  • i feel like RCC lost some personality in their more recent shows, even though their show this year was pretty sick.

  • @usfguy85 probably not man! unless you go to like.. Arcadia.

  • 1:40 whose that snare? he techs rcc snares now.

  • @MrPurpleBean matt regua? the center for RCC in 2009?

  • best part of vid..0:00 to 1:48

  • Oops nevermind i just rewatched it... Forget what said

  • Haha no its a one handed roll. You rest the stick on the rim an you use your wrist/arm to move the stick. Idk how to do it but look it up on youtube to check it out. Im probably way off with my description.. thats just how i think you do it.

  • @xXxSkaDeutshxXx hes not using the rim he is using a technique called push pull which with enough practice you can do a one handed roll without using the rim at all

  • that first guys solo, someone tell me what he did at the end with his one hand...

was that just a super moeller triplet??

  • @thasnargoblin gravity beat?

  • wtf? there's this snare on that line who also played with BD on that same year 0_0

  • yeah, you can do that.. we have blue coats and cavies on our drumline.

  • wow. how can they manage both dci and wgi.

isn't it like dci is in the summer and wgi play in the winter?

  • I actually have no clue, but they are very talented so they can keep up with all the music and all.. We have rehearsals during the weekend, and the drum corp people switch off.

  • oh i see. is there a certain age to join wgi?

  • @killingspree926 yep, thats why its called WGI (WINTER Guard Internation)

  • A lot of Drum corp personell spend their time in the off season with RCC. The director has been asked multiple times why not just turn RCC into a drum corp itself. He prefers it to stay a marching band. It opens the group up to more personel. Plus without the marching band us woodwinds would have no where to go.

  • RCC has a full marching band that plays in the fall football season. Winter guard is just the drum line and colorguard

It's still all RCC though. You have to be a student to be in any of the groups. The groups though are all classes. Marching band is a class. You don' t have to take any other classes.

  • Many of us after graduating come back year after year and just take Marching Band over and over again. So even though it's a 2 year school you'll have members stay in the band for 4-6-8 years. I did 5 myself.

  • RCC really should be turned into a drum corps though.... Talk about some sweet ass drum breaks with blaring horns whole note at the end!!! Yesss.....

  • it's bluuuueeee!!! lol :D love rcc :D

  • They're alumni for a reason, they're all out of southern cal!!! Scojo usually does alot of scouting from here

  • Epic!

  • Some of these guys are from the Blue Devils

  • i love it.

and BBsnare... i must agree, it's pretty shocking.. all the more reason to believe the hype.

  • Do you know if the guy one from the girl on the snare line marched dci?

  • This can't be a community college. I think these are the Blue Devils in disguise! lol

  • LOL

    Not hard to believe

Just takes dedication and badass players

    lol

  • If Im not mistaken you do not have to go to the school to be in the winter line Rcc is just based from RCC.

  • OH and some of these are blue devil alumni

    lol

  • a lot of them do play for blue devils

  • yeah i don't get it, how is the group a community college if people from corps can just join whether or not they go to the school?

  • the name RCC is just because they practice at RCC, they are not afilliated in any other way

  • yeah they have there own website that has nothing to do with the college

  • @BBSnare ...its based out of a community college, but its not made up of kids from the school. Yes many of them are blue devils as well, along with the blue coats, and many other dci corps. But as a side note...the RCC marching season line (which is kids from the school) is still better than 95% of the college drumlines in the country

  • @BBSnare alot of them are lol

  • @BBSnare Many of their players actually go to BD or have just been, and then do this for Winter. =]

  • @BBSnare Riverside Community College's band is BOA too so alot of people are actually go to school and play for them.

  • oh and that was to Ridub

  • probably my fav show

  • these guys win teh internets O_O rcc rules!

  • is that a messup at :47 or is he supposed to do that like an add in?

    far right snare

  • it was likely a wave effect of somesort, but im not sure. its entirely possible that he screwed up :)

  • ya i know like a ripple...but it wasnt even 1 count before he pulled them back out. idk

  • probably did mess up, hey, he's only human =P

  • i know i do that stuff ALL the time

  • no no no, its an addon. Not a mess up.

  • *thanks for clearing that up*

  • no, that's natal, he doesn't fuck up hahahah it was a wave, if you've seen the full show it would make sense, the drill has it's effect

  • haha i know natal. my friend always says i drum just like him, and act like em lmao

  • JUST KIDDING.

    probably money..

    its not free ya know

  • Yeah indeed that is very true.

  • Center snare was in BD's 04 how come he didn't march 05 and 06?

  • aged out.

  • BD's center in 04 was Fernando and he did march 05' then aged out

  • I know the center of BD '04 line was Fernando, I'm saying RCC's center snare Makana Sylva '06, I didn't see him in the '05 line.

  • makana marched 05

  • Haha, Makana didn't march in 05, promise you. He had his reasons =]

  • oh yeah really? i'd like to know message me if u want

but still makana comes back and he's center cuz he's that baddass lol

correct me if i am wrong but was he center snare in bd 2003?..

  • i think that was Eric Otero

  • ty dude.. :D

  • rcc always brings it to the table

  • this video is key. the one handed roll is money. very impressed.

  • Wow, that was sweet, especially one-handed thing.

  • did the 2nd snare from the left march w/ scv?

  • yep.

  • i asked pete sapadin who teaches rcc winter snare line, if he knew how he did it. he said it was a push pull type thing where he diddle each push and pull. he couldnt do it but he said that even for him, it was amazing to see.

  • he uses the molar (sp) technique, kind of to an extreme, to pull that off i believe.

  • beat me to it

  • Really good execution if you ask me. Very subtle.

  • I can do that with my D***!!

  • refer to tim jacksons "can't stop" solo, that's where he learned it.

  • no he wasnt. its all with fingers and timming.

  • Was that dude at the beginning doing a six tuplet on one hand but it was pretty dope i meeen the whole show

  • I saw you guys live last year...IT WAS TOTALLY KICK ASS...

    =)

  • O YEA, MCM with their Insane show, i dont think i like this year's show as much how ever, but i've only seen bits and peices of it, i guess i'll just see it in Dayton!!

  • i agree

  • i think thats the 2nd best show in '06!

  • what's the first? MCM?

  • where can i find this music. ive been searching everywhere

  • audition for the line.
