  • Don Ciccio will thank you for it...Don Ciccio will thank you for it. The one who finds the boy Vito Andolini eh?

  • Their italian is beyond horrible

  • @blarazan it's actually a Sicilian dialect

  • LMAO "Sonny what are you doing you always fight"

  • the introduction of hyman roth is impeccable.

  • Godfather 2 remembers me to "Mafia, the city of Lost Heaven"

  • The deleted scene from 1:17 to 3:36 is my favourite from the whole series. I wish they had included it in the finished film. Not only is it beautifully shot, and accompanied with a wonderful musical backdrop, it amplifies the autobiographical aspects of the Godfather series. Francis Coppola's own father Carmine was a flute-player and son of Italian immigrants, who helped score the Godfather films.

  • young clemenza is joe pesci-ish

  • De Niro is so damn cool as the young Vito

  • yep those are the guns of Brooklyn :)

  • Great, thanks.Like seeing it all over again with scenes never seen.

  • Is it just me, or is young Clemenza a little cutie pie?

  • @wickedlady4180 He's a little Player, You see how he handled that broad?

  • Comment removed

  • @wickedlady4180 Haha. She wanted that Italian Brajole.

  • I DEMAND SUBTITLES

  • Good acting is defined as the ability to transport the audience into the story as if they were a fly on the wall. What is so facinating is that each of these 'cutting room scraps', almost 40 years old, have the power to do that to me now!!! I have never seen these pieces until today and I am awestruck. Little Al Pachino comes across Perky, like a Tom Cruise. But unlike Tom Cruise, he developed (Scarface, etc.) whereas Cruise plays the same character. Tom played the Cabbie in Bullett!!!

  • anyone know the name of the song at 6:40

  • so i am a huge godfather fan. but who is that vito is killing around the 9min mark...in the bed?? any ideas?

  • @MrJrsoprano It is one of Don Ciccio henchmen who killed his brother and mother and tried to kill him when he was young. This happens before he kills Don Ciccio.

  • @MrJrsoprano One of the dudes who tried to kill him when he was a kid.

  • 9:45 OMG SICILY IS SO BEAUTIFUL.

  • 02:35 Mama mia, it's Mario Bros voice, yahoo!!!

  • Great nod of respect to Francis' father Carmine who was a professional flautist, as well as the Godfather II's composer.

    Also, RIP Bruno Kirby.

    Thanks for posting these.

  • Sam "Ace" Rothstein... cwtiddthaaaa :p

  • Nice Clemenza. I would have gone in too.

  • great vid!

  • the guy who played the young clemenza looks exactly like the actor who played baby face nelson in public enemies.... no?

  • Does anyone notice that Hyman's given surname before they rename him roth is actually the real life surname of meyer lansky?

How is it that Mosca is mysteriously resurrected for part 3 after Vito kills him here? The same with Calo who dies in the car bomb blast but also returns for part 3?

  • Who is the little boy playing the flute? And was that where Vito and Sal Tessio meet?

  • @ridgerunner721601 I dont know who the actor was but the character name for the little kid with the flute was Carmine Coppola.... nice little in joke!

  • @aliencorset Oh okay. Wasn't 'Carmine Coppola' Francis Ford Coppola's father's name? If so, now I see. LOL

  • @ridgerunner721601 Yep, Carmine is Francis's father and he composed the music for Godfather II making the joke even funnier. And also, that WAS the first time Tessio met Vito.

  • @aliencorset Ha ha....you're right. That was a good inside joke. I remember somebody saying Francis' father had a cameo in Godfather I as the piano player when the families were at war too. As for Tessio, I hated seeing him get killed in Godfather I. Too bad he made such a bad mistake so late in life. Back in the '80s my ex girlfriend and I were watching it on TV and she said the same thing. I told her, "Don't worry. Tessio escaped and got a job working for Barney Miller at the NYPD...LOL

  • it hurts to realize that most of the deleted scenes were in italian

  • @Archivioinutile It hurts to realize that all of the deleted scenes were better than the included scenes

  • @VinnyS914 I would't go that far.

  • love these films!

  • whats the name of the sing at 2:46 ???

  • I love how he goes back 2 Sicily 2 kill Don Cicci and also all of the henchmen. they show him killin Don Cicci in the original cut but I wish they had never cut out him getting the rest if them anyway still awsome..THANKS 4 POSTIN!!!!

  • @kewkehmonstuh: it's one of the guys who worked wit Don Ciccio in the beginning of the movie also one of the guys who killed his mother and was searching 4 him before he escaped to America

  • who is he killing at 9:17?

  • Is there a director's cut? I would prefer to view the film with all the deleted scenes. I mean, as we all know, the film would be noticeably more awesome if the Hyman Roth[stein] scene was included.

  • @MittRomneyForPrez08

The director doesn't just throw all the scenes in without thinking. Often the deleted scenes were deleted by the director for specific reasons.

  • @MittRomneyForPrez08 there was a saga edition, with all these scenes included. It used to be available on vhs, but never seen it on dvd though. The scenes also don't switch back and forth, like in the movies, from current to past.

  • whos the guy vito cuts in bed?

  • @IamJacksColon4 It's Mosca, one of the two men who walked around the village asking for Vito Andolini at the beginning of (2)

  • @BernardtheBeanpole

    thanks man

  • I just wish they would have used freakin' subtitles since so much of the movie was in Italian. I know the reason they did it was to make the movie more authentic but still

  • @tennis12456 The American accents in Italian sound tremendous anyway

  • that bruno kirby not joe pesci playing the part of young clemenza

  • that bruno kirby not joe pesci

  • vito andolini and clemenza and 3rt who is

  • @99681655 sal tessio.. the one that betrayed michael in part 1

  • It often happens in life. The quiet kid who everybody ignores as dumb rises to enormous wealth and/or power later on. Einstein was a dyslexic near-idiot as a child, Jesus a poor bastard from Nazareth. He said Blessed are the meek, For they shall inherit the earth. As with most of what he said, completely misunderstood. Christians think they must be Uriah Heep-humble and supplicant. Not at all. Meek in this sense means open to learn, not to arrogantly assume you know it all, and there's....

  • ...nothing you can be taught. Some people passed over as fools develop a determination, a refusal to accept it, and a wolfish hunger for learning. Corleone watches people very carefully: look at De Niro's performance. Clemenza at the beginning is senior to him and Tessio. After a few years he's "taking his hat off" to Vito, clearly showing a change in status. He becomes a genius of crime. Son Michael has the same quality, doesn't miss a thing. Great movies. Taught me a lot.

  • @madmax8903 and i thought people were lazy while writing comments on YouTube.

  • @madmax8903

it just shows you didn't ponder on the movie huh...

    nah, it's a great comment from u.

  • @madmax8903 you need to chill the fuck up!

  • @burro310 You need to shut the fuck up, since you have nothing to say.

  • i wish these had subtitles

  • where is the scene with Young Hymen Roth??? someone please tell me.

  • @Kifly95 It's @ 7:45

  • Whatever she did it was worth two dresses.

  • @Raduk1994 Thats mosquito netting.

  • Interesting scene when Sonny goes to The Don's office with the bread in his hand. He didn't sit in his dad's chair.. Nice touch.

  • @Raduk1994 Those are mosquito nets.

  • @Raduk1994 Thats not spider webs, its a net to keep the bugs out.

  • Wow, it was actually Don Vito who gave Hyman Roth his Name.

  • Porte della sinestra--I wonder if folks know the importance of that?

  • were is the scene that micheal kills fabrizio

  • These are great uploads.

Many of them help fill in some of the "missing" liks between some scenes and, while understanding the basic premise, help bridge many gaps as to why something happened when it did

  • Hymen Rothstein

  • First, thank you kolation for the uploads. I remember seeing most of these scenes on previous TV viewings, but none in over 10 years.

Many of these scenes are vital outtakes. Young Vito's disposals of the two soldiers of Ciccio in Corleone showed what a violent man he was. I never got that until I saw those scenes.

Also, that conversation with his father in which Michael seeks to make war is crucial after his father passes away, and also is a set-up for their consultations about th future

  • They hurt cut. Have raised many stages of history (in garden scenes of Vito in Sicily)

  • In this scenes Vito meet Roth ?

  • @Hook105 Mi votu e mi rivotu

  • Hahaha. Pete sounds like Joe Pesci.

  • i know right? i kept expecting him to ask "how the fuck am i funny?"

  • what does pete do with that woman

  • I think they do the deed so she can "afford" that second dress.

  • 1:45 Augustino Coppola?? that's Francis brother and Nicholas Cage's father!

  • This is another one. It's Francis's grandfather (who was a blacksmith in reality) and the kid is Francis's father Carmine who composed part of the score.

  • Wow, so many great scenes, it was great to watch these videos, thanks!

  • After Clemenza sells the dresses to the lady, is that Vito or Tessio outside? And what does he say to them?

  • yeah its vito and tessio

  • @corleone171284

    what does clemenza say?

  • @Carswell90

    that i dont know

  • @Carswell90 He says "why took you so long?"

  • @Carswell90 and then clemenza says something like "worth spending time". then he tells vito to sell the other dresses to a store they know

  • @fsan2005

Oh haha ok thank you so much man. I figured he banged that chick

  • yea, i don't speak italian very well, but I understand part of what they say because italian language is similar to spanish and portuguese

  • It 's meeting with Roth Vito is in these sequences?...

  • Apres Kolatian lav gortz es arel.

  • Are there any dvd versions out there with the deleted scenes included in the movies like they did with the Exorcist a few years ago?

  • Who's the guy that Vito holds the razor on at the end?

  • one of the guys that killed his mother

  • Grazie.

  • Comment removed

  • @dejabu24 ..it aint pesci

  • yea sorry my mistake you right is Joe Pesci but both are very similar in the way they talk dont you think so

  • @dejabu Yes

  • What is the first song called??? the one at fluth or something like that

  • i love that too.. reason i looked this up

  • @sindresollie it's sicilian song called mi votu e mi rivotu ... you can find it on youtube ;)

  • thank you very much. Spaziba!

  • 4:32 Clemenza and La Senora!

  • MIssing- Don Fannucci gettting his throat cut...

  • Holy crap, Hyman Roth!

  • 7:15 I love the scene with Hyman Roth, sharing how he admired Rothstein which is how Hyman Shikowski became Hyman Rothstein, later, Roth. Later, in G2, HR says he has loved baseball ever since Rothstein fixed the 1919 World Series.

  • I think that kid is supposed to be a representation of the director's (Coppola) father, Carmine.

Carmine Coppola did the music for all the Godfather movies.

  • what the name of the song that kid play at 2:49?

  • dude... is that boy in the backround at 7.25 HYMAN ROTH????????? :O

  • yes it is.

    That's how the mafia is.

  • 3:05 LOL!!! i thought his head was gonna come right off!

  • which one is hyman roth,? the one that talks alot and was selling clothes to a wife that he had a one night stand with ? lol

  • no that was Peter Clemenza.

  • this would be so much better if i understood italian

  • " You know the son of Vito Andolini? The kid? The kid. I AM.

  • You must all be fluent in Italian

  • @guyboxerdog i can speak it but i forget how to read and write it. probably bc i only write english anymore and onyl speak italiano to family and some friends

  • Oh shit! That's Hyman Roth!

  • no kidding!! So Vito knew him since he was a kid. I thought they met as business partners, not through an initial apprentice-master relationship.

  • @akasha85

    Read the books

  • @jolorulz i failed to get it, which one is roth?

  • @jaypatel384 7:43 8:16 He is the new guy that Clemenza take to work for Corleone.

  • @jolorulz

What kind of name is Hyman anyways, lol.

  • nothing no acting or movie can ever beat vito going back to italy for revenge when he whispers his name in don ciccios ear and stabs him

  • I recommend that everybody try to find and watch The Godfather Saga. chronological edition of both I and II. In many ways it is superior to the originals. Most especially because you get a much better feel for the history of the family.

  • i would recommend the book as the best way to get more appreciation for the story

  • I would reccomend watching it alone in a little Sicilian town in di versione italiano, with the volume low, because you aren't sure who you want to know what movie you are watching. That is the best way to get more appreciation of the story.

  • Is that the film from which these additional scenes are? I have wondered for years what the title of the full length films are.

  • Notice the father of the flute player is Coppola?

  • The flute player is supposed to be Francis' father, Carmine, who was an actual musician and composer (he played the piano montage in GF1). The floutists' father represents Francis' grandfather, August Coppola.

  • i dont get why vito killed that guy at 8:59-9:14

  • Those two guys killed his dad, mom and older brother.

  • @NikeAurrs45 He was one of the guys that killed vito's family and wanted to kill him but he ran away to america

  • lmao beaten to death with a paddle well done DeNiro

  • i love godfather movie. I saw all 3 movies

  • Thanks for the upload! 5/5 stars

  • 7:36--young Hyman Roth is played by the late John Megna, who was best remembered as "Dill" in "To Kill a Mockingbird"

  • @smichelle65 I thought he looked somewhat familiar. And of course there was the other tie in between The Godfather movies and To Kill a Mockingbird.....Robert Duvall.

  • @smichelle65 Did you know the charactor of Dill was bassed on Trueman Copote..sorry I am a crumby speller because of sight problems. Harper Lee and Trueman were childhood friends and latter Harper helped Truman do research for his book IN COLD BLOOD.

  • @rockinrobintweets Wow--didn't know that! I knew Lee and Capote were friends, but I didn't know Dil was actually based on him. I've read Capote's stories about his somewhat lonely childhood, and now that I think of it, it makes sense that Lee based the character on Truman.

  • I actually wish that some of this stuff with Young Clemenza had been left in the theatrical cut. i like that we get to see him a little more and hear him speak English. Plus, it's nice to see Vito's rise to power be a little more gradual.

  • @MeatballsMarlowe right about the gradual part, in the movie it so damn instant!

  • Did anyone notice that young Clemenza speaking English sounds like Joe Pesci?

  • ya its funny

  • @AidanMclaren of course because he is joe pesci

  • clemenza acts like the boss in those times see how he talks to vito. But in the 1st godfather they respect vito they even call him godfather

  • Question !!

The last part off this video there is a melody playing.. the one with the flute..

does anybody know what that melody is called..

and also thx kolatian for uploading this videos..

  • same melody that starts in the beggining of the movie just with the horns they used in the 1st godfather

  • any idea what this version with the flute is called .. i have searced every where but i have not found it...

  • even if you don't understand you can still assume whats going on without them

  • why are there no subs inthe italian parts?

  • mosquito nets, Vito is on Sicily where they can be a nuisance.

both the man under the nets and the boatman were involved in the murder of Vito's dad, working for the local Don. Vito kills the Don as well with a knife to the belly.

  • The flute kid is supposed to represent young Carmine Coppola (Francis's real life father) who grew up to be a professional flautist. He also scored Godfather Part II, and appears as the bandleader in the opening party scenes of Godfather Part III.

  • those are muskito nets LOL,not spiderwebs:p

  • ok i really don't get some parts.

what's up with that flute kid?

who's that man that vito kills?

  • the flute kid is also playing the theme for the Godfather, if I'm not mistaken.

  • Seems he didnt cleaned his house...

    Last 2 were Ciccio's men.

  • Apparently, Sonny saw his father kill Fannuci and he tells him he wants to go into the "family business." Clemenza, Sonny's godfather, trains him in the ways of mafia life. All that would be great sequel material.

  • He didnt saw him kill Fannuci, he was baby.

  • Michael was a baby at the time but Sonny was older. After Vito kills Fannucci, he sits down with the family and holds Michael as a baby. Sonny, the oldest brother, is also there.

  • In the book Vito tells Sonny that he does not want him involved in the family business. Sonny tells Vito that he saw him kill Fanucci. The Don allows him to join because it would be hypocritical if he doesnt. But in the movie, Sonny's only like 4years old at the time of the killing. He's the little boy sitting on the step in the scene following the murder. Mama Corleone's holding Fredo;Vito's holding Mike. If the movie was accurate, Sonny wouldve been about 10 & couldve easily followed Vito.

  • HE DOES IN THE BOOK SON

  • @kolatian Wrong. Michael Corleone was a baby, not Santino.
