You would have to understand the age and time this song was sung in. People were looking for some relief and television was still new then. Comedy wasn't so politically correct as it is now--and we all knew that Tiny Tim was spoofing. He was actually a very manly man. Playing practical jokes on other actors was the "in thing". It was more comical back then than it is now. The sixties were the days for good, solid and comical television programs! You would have to be at least 50 to understand.

@Titan52berg Too many female hormones? Look up Tiny Tim's version of "Bushwhacker," or another old war song. He can be just about as bass-y as any bass singer, and he shows tremendous respect for the earlier generation of singers.

I love this song. Sometimes he'd go a little too high, and his voice would waver in some recordings, as if he'd run out of air. He did a good job on this take. He sings very confidently.
