If the officer safety is in danger they can "paint" a subject of the opposite sex. Although he should have DEFINITELY been using the back of his hand, once the weapon was recovered, personally I would have detained her and waited for the female officer.

First and foremost, NO MALE OFFICER WILL SEARCH A FEMALE SUBJECT! That doesn't happen out here in the real world. You people that try to be police officers in these videos appearently have no idea what we do in the real world. An officer can do anything to ensure his safety and well being and the safety of innocent civilians so don't complain about him violating the 4th ammendment that's bs you're just looking for an excuse to get out of being jailed or fined for what you did

Here in Wisconsin a Male can do a basic search. (depending on clothing) Arms, paocket areas, legs and feet. Obviously can't touch breast or genital areas. And yes, Females can serach men, in same aspect. I would not feel safe working for your agency if you can't search a prisoner! Hope God or something is watching over you. Stay safe!

Our agency does have a lot of policies that I don't agree with, such as the one about searching females. The way I personally would do it is to pat her down with the back of my hand, and hold her wrist while she would reach into a pocket or such and hold onto a pressure point. We also have enough females so that there is one available on each team so we can have her come and frisk the prisoner

and you know if a male were to transport the female he would call to dispatch and they would document the starting milage on the vehicle and ending milage at the end of transport. Our state manual says we can pat with the rear of our hands but our department strongly suggests that we don't
