  • This is nice, but this is also bad. I dont mind people making their own figma stuff, but this also is bad because people use this knowledge to sell bootleg figma/nendoroid products. I hate to see people get ripped off and in this department, it occurs alot.

  • @TheRainbowCRASH

I doubt this is how bootlegs are made. Resin and PvC are different. This tutorial is for that Yui figma. If I were to make a recast of a figma using this tecnique, it would be vastly difficult due to the joints and hands on figmas.

Anyways I'm going to replicate one of Maron=Macaron's faces to mod it, but I'm paranoied if this would damage the paint on figma faces. So anyone knows if this tecnique damages the paint on a pre-painted figma?

  • TIS AWESOME!!!

  • Do you have any info on duplicating hands?

  • Weee ur my idol now :D

  • is that a crack on figma faces?

  • Pale White :3

  • so, would you say this is kinda how bootleg figmas and nendos are made? im just curious...

  • What is the noise at 7:00!?!

  • Can i buy a mold from you? Please that would be awesome because i want to make a whole bunch of faces for my konato izumi figure thanks!!!!

  • I see sperm!!!

  • ZOMG!! YOU ARE GIFTED!!=D

  • That's a neat idea you have to make a mold of the face.

But that only works with K-On blank faces not other figma faces.

  • so its a fake (i dont mind) but do the fakes fit the real stuff

like if i get a fake reimu figure will her faces fit another real figure

  • @takulu64

Pretty sure there aren't any fakes of the Touhou Figmas, since they're exclusives, at least MyFigureCollection doesn't list any fakes. But KO Figma faces should be able to fit on a real Figma, just depends on the plastic tolerances and how well they copied the mold.

  • 3:41 .... that looks like cum... but great vid!

  • Where can you buy the stuff to do this?

  • blah, this is just a duplication casting, i though you were going to show how to make custom faces.

  • you are absolutely aweeesome :)

  • 1 to 1 ratio. that phrase is angelic music to my ears

  • Would you mind giving me a step-by-step tutorial of how to do this? I want to make multiple blank faces for my Misaka Mikoto Figma so I can make more expressions for the figure.

  • @AnimeGuruma I would PM that if I were you...

  • @SymphoniaFan101 yeah, you're right XD thx

  • Hey, I was wondering where you bought the matte spray, gloss coat and the enamel paint from?

  • @rakeem92 I got it at a local hobby shop called "Hobby Lobby". I'm not sure if they're a chain or not. Any place that sells modeling kits or art supplies should have it though.

  • Can this be used as well with Nendoroids?

  • @ChibiCthulluWillRule Yeah, absolutely. The process would be the exact same.

  • @TheRumicWorld Would it use up more silicon since they're larger?

  • @ChibiCthulluWillRule I meant the liquid resin, sorry. I think. I'm confused.

  • @ChibiCthulluWillRule Yes a bit more, depending on how many you'd like to make one container would probably be enough. I certainly had plenty left over after making these faces.

  • @TheRumicWorld But I think it takes more time because it's bigger than a figma's face..

  • you have too much free time !

  • Dude that's to fucking complicated.

  • Awsome Video on How To Make Your own Figma Faces

  • So this is what China DO! :D

  • Where you have the stick on ALL FACES o,o

  • Awesome video! Another idea, for some of you looking to make faces for your figmas: Recast the face, and then get your hands on some water-slide decal paper. Print off your own water-slide decals for customized faces.

  • Dude, would you make some of those? Im sure I can´t do it myself, because I suck at this, and I probably wouldn´t wind anything of the things I need here, because Norway sucks. Thats why.

  • @HirasawaYui98 *find

  • You didnt explain how to make it the shape of the face

  • Impressive ^_^b

  • that is fucking geniusssssssssssss.

  • WOAH! Dude, this is one of the best ideas i've seen in a long time!

  • @VoodooPuppies

    sometimes included.....

  • where can i get the faces withouth eyes etc?

  • whats the silicon made of and whats kind of modeling clay are you using?

  • Do you think that if you used a blank Nendoroid face, do you think you could do the same thing?

  • could you do a ful thing cuz i dont know how to found the material . Thanks

  • They look chubby

  • thanks for video!

  • dude, if u were to sell those on ebay, i'd sooo totally buy them~

  • thank a lot for your tutorial. Could you tell me what color you used to paint on resin pieces. I try to mix several color together but it still not same like original color.

  • Question:

I'm new to the figma series. Can you tell me in a number form how to remove the faces to put in a new one? Do you have to remove the bangs? Do I have to get a tooth pick and pick off the mask?

    Example:

    1.

    2.

    3.?

  • @DRockNation1

    1. you have to remove the hair bangs piece of the figure (front hair)

    2. you have to remove the face by pulling off gently (there's a piece attached to the hair behind the face, there's a hole behind the face piece)

3.replace with the other face by fitting the hair piece (that's supposed to be behind where the face piece is)in the hole behind the face piece

4.put back the hair bangs piece in the hole on top of the face piece, in the hair

    5.Ur done !

  • That is so clever!! I wish I would have thought of that like 10 years ago when my friend and I were just squishing Sculpey into the faces to make molds out of sculpey...this would have made them much more perfect.

  • Responder a este vídeo... Awesome!!!

  • Wow! Awesome job! Thanks to my darned ADHD, I had some difficulty understanding some of the steps, but it's nothing on your part. ^ ^

I had this idea of making a custom Figma of my own with some knockoff Figma parts ._. Anyway, I just wanted to make a character from a fan blog I did, and your process seems like just the trick ^ ^ However, I might need to buy the decals online and even mold some of the expressions!

I should use your process on the Haruhi Revoltechs, which I want to buy so bad!!

  • Wow, nice technique! <3

I have a Lucky Star figma with a blank face and stickers... I'll have to try making duplicates sometime.

  • Thanks for sharing this interesting little project. You just made a lot of figma collectors very happy! :)

  • Good! I want to try this week end.lol

  • the ones with the k-on figmas are delcal (if i spelled that right) you use water and i heard they arre hard to get off the one that are stickers are the summer lucky star figmas

  • @andrewtokyo12 Yes, these are water decals (also known as water-slide decals). There's a trick to removing them. If you take a piece of scotch tape and put it on the face, it'll peel right off very easily.

  • @TheRumicWorld how would u take it off the scotch tape?

  • @andrewtokyo12 actully they arnt that hard to get off, only wen ur in a hury XD

  • Wow, great job bro!
