I had a Wade 240 in an earlier engine of my car, and it chewed up a couple of lobes too! Great cam for a street engine though. The 140 in it now is a little big, but it seems to work, and its a lovely lumpy idle....
Haven't been back on the dyno recently as I'm waiting on a new "trick" cylinder head. For the record it made 128 hp (at 4000rpm and 5000rpm ) at the wheels but was not making good torque over 4600rpm hence the odd figures.
On further inspection the Wade cam was found to be badly worn on a number of lobes which explained the lack of top end grunt - so 128rwhp with a knackered cam - when I have it singing properly I will return!
