Ive never seen/heard any association of Raag Desh with rain/monsoon. Im more familiar with carnartic music, amrutavarshini is the ragam associated with rain which I would say comes close to the raag Malashree in Hindustani music.

@prasannakeshav absolutely breathtaking music and phtos. regarding assication of des with monsoon, i think there are many bandishes with monsoon association in des rag. one famous peice is Megha bars re sung famously by roshanara begum.
