I remember back to A-level psychology. One of the main constraints surrounding the whole field is the deep, deep Eurocentric bias. Many mental disorders like depression are manifest differently in different cultures. I have even traveled to Africa & visited the Slave dungeons & talked to historians in Africa. True some slaves were sold. But most were organized by Europeans. @TheSonsOfLight Give me some time and I'll name names. For now read some news articles. Africans are still selling other Africans into slavery today. Look up the Second Sudanese Civil War and the selling of mostly Dinka people for $50. Look up The UN Office of Humanitarian Affairs article from 2004 which reports children in Chad are being sold to Arabs for $31 at best. The list goes on. Nigeria, Gabon, Togo, Ghana, Ethopia, Benin, etc.

That means there is a lot of research you need to do, Starting with the Arab Slave Trade.

This is why marketing plays a part in who the books are promoted to. However,the books are available to anyone & many white historians & scholars support, Diop,Clarke,Jeffries,Ben,Van Sertima etc. & If you are interested African History then dont study it with a skeptical mind. Also Africans were taken from all over Africa not just West Africa.Not just Dahomey & Yoruba.The first slaves were captured in Angola ,Tanzania & The Congo.Taken to South America & The Caribbeans by the Portuguese.WHy do you think South America has the largest pop of blacks outside Africa?

This includes the opinions of a Harvord professor, Encarta Encyclopedia, and first hand account of two former slaves just to name a few. Do you question their credibility? That's your perogative. The information that is put forth by main stream education is targeted at that. In fact it only explains the slave trade on the American main land. Have you researched the Pacific slave trade? It was originally called that because the British feared the Maroons Of Jamaica when the had several slave revolts. That hairstyle was considered aggressive & rebellious. Thus the term Dreadful. Later shortened to dread. Even today in the corporate world a black man or woman is told to cut their "Dreads" if they expect to be taken seriously.
